Hi all,

It's time for another update on what you can expect to see in the next patch release for Dragon Age. This week, we were able to confirm some issues that are Awakening specific, and want to share them with you.

• Instant +100 approval bugs for Awakening companions have been resolved.
• Anders, Sigrun and Velanna's personal quests will properly activate.
• Fixed an issue that would prevent an imported character from detecting traps.
• Red script will no longer appear in the place of tattoos.
• Power of Blood talent will be usable in Awakening.

Testing is continuing along, and we are hoping to deliver some word on some PC improvements next week. When we get closer to being able to set a release date, we will update you on that as well.

Previously reported fixes:

• Game saves on Xbox 360 were being corrupted if you sold too many items to the same merchant. Saves will no longer be corrupted if you do this.
• Daggers will now properly assign the dexterity-based damage bonus
• Updated audio drivers to fix a number of audio related crashes.
Keep watching for additional details. We’re packing a lot in this update and have more to reveal!

As always, thanks for playing Dragon Age. We're looking forward to delivering this patch and improving the game experience for as many of you as we can!

Simply awesome!!! Awakening fixes too! Thank you, Victor! +20 Approval

Can they can be far off from fixing the Silverite Mines bug as well? I'm sure it's in their to-do list. This is great news!!

Nice, hopefully next week we learn about a fix to the crashes with Mana clash or Holy smite from 1.03 on PC...

I am guessing this was the problem with those =)

Yes, that bug (silverite mines) is one of the nastier ones I've read about. I think that and one or two more would probably improve the quality of Awakenings significantly. Doesn't do me any good but....

Well since most of the bugs in 1.03 and prior are cross-platform, I would hope that the "PC improvements" will be both crash fixes and overall bug fixes (like Stealing) for all of us. And the PS3 owners are quite overdue for something to fix their slowdown/stability issues.

Good second week of updates. Urge to kill falling.......falling.....

Good catch- could very well be the case. 1.03 just crashes so much anytime I've got too many spells going on.

Okay, I didn't quite get the chance to ask before because of all the whining, but what exactly do you mean by this?

Good to see some of my pet peeve bugs fixed. The delay in getting out bug fixes/ info on them has been really unfortunate and has caused a lot of hurt feelings and frustration on both sides. Let's hope this means the Bioware Community is back to its previous good communication policies. :)

This has been confirmed that there were no bugs for ranged weapon except for the crossbows if I remember correctly, so I hope atleast the crossbow will be fixed

Since this week is for Awakening, the sentinel armor is broken on the 360 if you have wardens keep DLC installed. The textures does not show the cool looking black armor, instead we get the wardens armor, again. I understand if you dont want to tell us if this will be fixed or not but i hope you have noted this.

Anyways, im glad to hear more bugs is resolved, keep it up :)

May I ask exactly what is wrong with crossbows? Something about modifiers not working? I did notice they seem to have usually low damage on the status/equipment panel.

Thanks for update

It's good to see some Awakening bugs are being fixed. However the Awakening retail patch still screwed up my game! Please look into this:

Issues that we would like the patch to address (PS3)

* Awakening retail patch creates an issue with other patches:
For me it means a broken game playable only in slow motion (impossible
to attack or do any tactics), 2 minute full pauses and freezing. For
other people "Loading saved data" becomes the only screen they see.
Other people are still experiencing crashes

* PS3 overall framerate is painful: This thread has been asking for a fix since launch.

* Locked Saved Games: Please unlock the saves,
with data corrupting bugs and the like we obviously need backups.
Sacred 2, WKC and RE5 all unlocked via patch so this is possible.

As
of now, me and many other ps3 players are stuck with a game we would
like to but cannot play, which means I also can't buy any dlc. All
because I supported Bioware and bought Awakening even though it didn't
strike me as a good deal or a great idea.

Please work on it!

Thank you for the update, I suppose the Awakening fixes is for all platforms... or not?

Anyhow, addressing some of the major bugs is quite good...

well that damn near solves all my issues, assuming the audio related crashes are tied to stuff like Mana Clash crashing as has been speculated.

One question is if you consider the incorrect journal notes saying various characters died at Vigil Keep when you managed to build it up enough to save them a bug or not, and if so what the status is

Also, I continue to hope for DLC to add an option to romance characters like Sigrun or Anders, but you know. Not something a patch is going to cover.

Good to hear!

I hope you fix the Awakening runes ( http://dragonage.wik...ki/Weapon_Runes , see pseudo-armor runes bug) and that all DLC items transfer over, too. Apart from that, I resolved the quest http://dragonage.wik...sant_Revolution with both persuasion checks successfully, however after finishing the game the epilogue told me the peasants started a revolution again and it ended in a bloodshed.. not very nice. Furthermore, novice barrier runes can't be bought anywhere. There are also many quest bugs in Awakening, I hope they'll get attention, too. And make Awakening harder. It's a cakewalk even in nightmare. What comes to my mind is that I can't get Yuriah to sell Paragon silverite or dweomer runes etc.; according to the wiki ( http://dragonage.wik...om/wiki/Yuriah ) there are three upgrades available for him, but even after resolving all quests he didn't sell those items offered by the "final upgrade". Lillith ( http://dragonage.wik...m/wiki/Lillith ) has a bug, too: "After you save Lillith she might appear and thank you every time you visit Vigil's Keep as if you just rescued her."

Oh... the list could go on....

I don't  want to sound like an ingrate -- those are most of the fixes I would have asked for. For once, let me say, thank you Bio.

However, I really really hope they fix Silverite mines. It's avoidable, and I've figured out the method for doing it, but I feel for the people who don't know it's about to bite and get bitten.

I just want to say thank you for updating us on this, and that the blackblade gloves and boots are missing from the game. Thanks for updating us. :)
