What is this about?

The downloadable item, Ring of Whispers, unique code will be sent to each user on launch date of Dragon Age II. I'm always excited to get some DLC but this is a little ridiculous. Is there going to be any loot in the game? I'm inclined to think it will all be DLC. lol

If we buy an actual sword we get more DLC? Where is this going to end?

It's as if BioWare no longer cares about the reputation of the franchise. They just slap Dragon Age DLC on anything and everything.

The one thing that will make me get this is:

Lack of modtools from day 1.

I want as many items as possibly in my game, and without mod tools, what choice do we have?

Wow, at this rate just about every kind of retailer will have some DA2 promotion.

I'm ok with extra items through free promotions like the pepsi and dr pepper DLC....hell I drink Diet Soda all day..... but stuff like this tied to a 15$ purchase from a site I've never even heard about????

This is Dragon Age, of course there is tons of dlc, did everyone forget all the belts, rings and doo dads that came with DAO 1?

DLC is a very slippery slope indeed.

Come on, what's next? DLC codes in official Dragon Age chocolate boxes?

The site in question sells fantasy weapon replicas priced around $400. I'm not sure epicweapons have any product that cost anywhere near $15.

Figure out how to make them without modtools (or more likely with the ones from DAO).

yeah but if you say that the response is usually "psshhh you're a doom sayer" or " I LOVE extras for my games when they come out.....I want more and I'll buy it all!"

These are just stupid little items they don't make or break a game. Its not like each retailer is selling Black Emporium or characters or what have you. Its a stupid item that takes a day at most to create.

Sadly, this is how larger companies like EA, Ubisoft and Activision work. In particular, EA seems to be the worst with it, as they DLC the hell out of literally every game that they own.

The number of additional conten on release is the same for DAO and DA2, 20 for the former and 19 for the latter. Don't see any reason to complain about the NUMBER of the additional content. Maybe about the method, but anyway, Europeans don't have access to a some content for DAO and ME2. Don't see the problem.

It is kinda like the person at the party that will hook up with anyone.

You like what they're offering, but not a lot of respect for how their offering it.

Personally I was excited about a lot of the DLC, but if in fact this is real DLC(I have some thoughts that this retailer might be lying) It just seems too much. Tied to too many strings, and especially hard for anyone to start a 'full' game. As in grab all the DLC, for your first playthrough. And lots of it is just weapons and armor, how good do we want to be in the beginning? I like having to struggle a bit, maybe have a bonus or two, but mostly earned stuff later by completing hard quests or beating really hard bosses. At least in my first run through

For those keeping track, DAO had 20 DLC items(if you split up the CE pack up and the Blood Dragon Armor up into its component pieces) and DA2 has 24(if you do similar splits ups) at the moment.

DAO letter openers and DA2 coasters.

lol man, that's like tying some DA2 dlc to a purchase of 15 euros from colelleriacollini.it

oh....crap I think I just gave Bioware an idea
