I started to make screenshots of the different weapon models in case someone want to swap models for certain weapons using the item_variation.gda as described in this thread by hazenvirus.

Here's also a nice tutorial on how to change item appearances using the GFF-Editor by toxic4u. However for that tutorial you need the item file names though and no, there's no such list yet.

Greatswords

Long Swords
Daggers
Staves
Longbows
Shortbows

Looking at those i realise just how few weapon models i have actually come across ingame... and i'm in Act III.

Looking at them, I'm just glad I haven't seen most of them in game... did they get those horrid designs straight from WoW?

Oh man; they really should've called daggers something else. Not sure what, but... well, something else :>

(ice skates, maybe? some of the shapes are just right)

I'd like to wield a pair of the daggers Hawke occasionally throws into people's eyes rather than the short swords :D

I know you are the sword cyber smith, but I would love to see something like this that also lists the armor and companion IDs too.

Ohmygawd, is that Vigilance?

Also, I just noticed the Sacred Ashes Warden sword. WTF Bioware, was arsed enough to remake it for DA2, but not Origins?

I am just flabbergasted that either the daggers are incredibly dull and reused from DA:O or they incredibly stupid.

I wonder though, where did these file name come from, that is, most weapons start with "gen" or so I thought.

What I'm after is to add a / some weapon to the game but these names do not work for "additem" commands. Am I barking up the wrong tree with this/

The names are the technical names of the meshes (actually of the model hierarchy files) not the names of the items (*.uti). A list of available items can be found in this thread by Thought Process along with his additem command.

If anyone has a list which item refers to which mesh I'd be pleased to note that in the images.
