Decompiling Retaliation(DLC spoilers)

So today's patch contained a lot of lovely information to set things up for the new challenge points system. In order to track these they needed to add new in-game telemetry tracking, and to prepare for the newly announced Retaliation DLC they added in most of the content being added though that which I have datamined out already, obviously.

It's a very long list jumbled up list of stuff that also includes all vanilla and other DLC stuff, so not everything will be here at the start of this post, but I will add more as I find it.

As of right now, all I can look at is what the game is tracking for the new Challenge Points system they're implementing. This just supplies me with names and not numbers, ability lists for each character, what gender they are, etc.

On Tuesday when the DLC is released I will update this thread with information that includes numbers and power lists for each character. I will be able to get all the information even though only 4 characters will be out at that time.

New classes

Turian Havoc Soldier - Cryo Blast, Havoc Strike, Stimulant Pack
Turian Saboteur Engineer - Sabotage, Sentry Turret, Homing Grenade
Turian Ghost Infiltrator - Overload, Tactical Cloak, Stimulant Pack

Asari Valkyrie Sentinel - Tech Armour, Annihilation Field, Warp
Asari Huntress Infiltrator - Tactical Cloak, Dark Channel, Warp

Quarian Marksman Soldier - Marksman, Tactical Scan, Sabotage

Volus Engineer(ULTRA-RARE) - Proximity Mine, Shield Boost, Recon Mine
Volus Adept(ULTRA-RARE) - Stasis, Biotic Orbs, Shield Boost
Volus Mercenary Sentinel(Rare) - Decoy, Combat Drone, Shield Boost
Volus Protector Vanguard(Rare) - Biotic Charge, Biotic Orbs, Shield Boost
* Volus seem to have a base weight capacity of 15%
* Volus cannot take cover
* Volus Light Melee is a 4 second cloak
* Volus Heavy Melee is a shield effect that reduces damage taken

Drell Assassin Infiltrator - Tactical Cloak, Homing Grenade, Recon Mine

Geth Trooper Soldier - Hunter Mode, Flamer, Fortification

Krogan Shaman Adept - Barrier, Shockwave, Warp

Batarian Slasher Adept - Warp, Cluster Grenade, Lash
Batarian Brawler Vanguard - Biotic Charge, Blade Armour, Lash

Vorcha Hunter Engineer - Bloodlust, Incinerate, Submission Net

New Abilities

Biotic Orbs
Shield Boost - Restores shields to yourself and nearby allies.
Havoc Strike - Charges the enemy with your jetpack. Similar to Biotic Charge except no shield restore and no damage immunity.
Stimulant Pack - Massive shield boost. Can be upgraded to boost damage.
Recon Mine - Provides AoE vision like Tactical Scan, and can be detonated for damage.

New Weapons

Collector Assault Rifle - Same as the promotional one

Collector SMG - Ultra Rare
> Weight:  0.75 - 0.35
> Damage: 75.2 - 94.1
> Rate of Fire: 800
> Clip Size: 20 - 30. Has Infinite Spare Ammo.
> 1 second delay on ammo recharge if not empty clip. 3 seconds if empty.

Collector Sniper Rifle - Rare
> Weight: 2.0 - 1.4
> Damage: 66.7 - 83.4
> Rate of Fire: 800
> Clip Size: 25 - 35. Has Infinite Spare Ammo.
> 1 second delay on ammo recharge if not empty clip. 3 seconds if empty.

New Ammo Powers

Phasic Rounds
> 5 to 15% damage bonus
> 15 seconds of shield regeneration negating.
> I would assume this has the ability to get around shielding somehow as well, but it doesn't show in the Coalesced.

Polonium Rounds
> 20 - 40% damage over 10 seconds

Needler Rounds(Explosive Rounds)
> 10 - 30% damage
> 50 - 250 max explosion damage
> 150 - 250 radius
> 1.5 second delay

Eraser Rounds
> 10 - 40% armour reduction
> 10 - 30% damage
> 1 - 2.5m penetration

New Units

Collectors
> Scion
> Collector Trooper
> Collector Captain
> Abomination
> Praetorian
> Seeker Swarms

Cerberus
> Cerberus Dragoon

Geth
> Geth Bomber 

Random Things

> The Turian Jetpack heavy melee can ragdoll 1 target, and hit up to 2.
> The Turian Infiltrator's Tactical Cloak gets Assault Rifle damage at evolution 6, rather than Sniper Rifle damage.

Thanks for gathering and posting that. I'm a bit disappointed that we don't see the merc pack some of us were hoping for (like Garm-armored blood pack krogans!) but that last part gives me hope that they will arrive with or around the Omega SP DLC. No salarians at all though in any of the DLCs... a friend of mine will not be very happy about that.  IMHO the volus should have stayed a joke on the forums (like the elcor infiltrator) with the precious class slots focused on fleshing out the existing alien races till they have one character per slot (while the humans have multiples).

Hmm - how do you explain the "Turian Vanguard" listed in the leaked image then? Maybe one of the other characters is actually a power reference rather than a kit?

So the Turian jet jump is tied to class as "racial" skill and not as full fledged power? Hah some justice no roll but Jet jump is good.

I posted this in another thread but could you indicate which ones have extract_progress as opposed to not. I believe these refer to challenges rather than kits, and so although you can work out some kits you are also possibly mistaking some for more general challenges which can be completed by any Volus for example.

The devs stated today (can't give you a direct link as the boards are crazy busy today) that the first two are single player only for now.

I don't see any listed, but that doesn't mean there wont be any.

First I find where the patch is stored in a .sfar file, then I used gibbed's tools(should be able to find this with a quick google search) to unpack them and get the .bin file which is I also read with gibbed's tools, which contains all of the variables and values.

Sometimes they are referred to by their name and sometimes their class. One of the three listed Turians is a Vanguard.

Krogan Battlemaster is a vanguard isn't he?
Turian Havoc could be the Turian vanguard

Not sure if you saw my reply in the other thread; Turian Soldier and Sentinel (both clearly kits) don't have "EXTRACT_PROGRESS" files. Don't think it's necessarily a 1:1 ratio.

If Volus really are included, I hope there aren't 4 different types. 1 or 2 would be plenty.

I noticed the same with powers as well. They list a few but not all of them.

There is Biotic Slash, but I don't want to call that a new power as they've been known to refer to one of the biotic character's melee attacks as Biotic Slash.

Yeah. I mean, we already know the Collectors from ME2 but they may want to save Adjutans' big debut for SP DLC and only then add them to MP

Turian Havoc was stated to be a Soldier on the official DLC release blog. Guess the Vanguard must be the Saboteur. Bit odd, sounds more Infiltrator-like to me.

Either way, long as there's a Turian Vanguard I'm golden B)

Every race should have at least 4, as four is the magic number.
