In order to change that dress, you need to add a Casual Appearance in your Coalesced file with id#100 and voilà :D

Thought people would like to know - cause man, that dress is fugly.

EDIT> if you have NO IDEA what a Coalesced file is, and you've never modded that, please read this first >>>
http://social.bioware.com/2134634/blog/212390/

You should get all the answers you need in order to achieve that.

For real, though. What was wrong with the ME2 dress?

How they gonna have Shepard out there looking like a starved ostrich at the Wimbledon?

Ah, the wonders of playing Mass Effect on PC. Someday I hope to experience them. Until then, I'll slink around the Citadel in my trash bag dress, and dream of a better tomorrow.

Thanks a lot :D
That's my babe, and I actually would mind but then she doesn't have one anyway, cause she's a tweaked Lazarus import.

It's odd that they don't unlock the outfit for use in the game after the DLC, like they did with the outfit from Kasumi's DLC. I really dig male Shepard's new outfit, but after the casino part, it's gone forever. Anyone know the code to add it via coal.bin?

OP, can you explain how to do this a little further? For all of the other casual outfits I've unlocked/changed in coal.bin, there's a huge line of text to copy and paste. But you're saying just add id #100. How? What exactly are you putting into your coal.bin?

I love my XBox but...ugh, I'm stuck with that damn dress. It looks like a leather gym outfit with those hideous red stripes & N7 logo. And the horrid necklaces, barf.

But Garrus seemed to think it was "smoking" so I'll keep wearing it. Sigh.

Each line for casual app. corresponds to one outfit from your closet.
There's a bunch of attributes for each,  basically all the info the game needs in order to display it and enable your Shep to wear it (one line = one outfit for male + one for female), one if those attributes is "id", which has to be UNIQUE among that list of outifts, and works as some sort of key label if you will.

id#100 is the unique key for that fugly dress in the game, so you should give that id to another outfit of your liking.

Just go through the lines, and you will read "id=..."

I'm a first time user of the coalesced utility... Would anyone have the patience to explain how to do this to me? I really want that horrid dress replaced.

Bah, PS3 here. I really was hoping they'd put FemShep in a new dress. The worst part is people telling her how great that dress looks. No :(

Huh, my FemShep never had that dress for Citadel - she was wearing that leather N7 dress that comes with the N7 Collector's Edition (the one that's a reskin of Diana Aller's dress).

Damn xbox... BroShep gets a tux and FemShep gets nothing, if her dress wasn't so goddamn awful Id be okay with not getting a new dress. Whats worse is when the LI seems to think its nice...

Well, it's a slightly different color than the regular dress. Some parts seem to be dark green instead of black and the N7 logo is missing. Still fugly though.

Bamboozled that they couldn't just give Shepard one of the nice asari dresses or the one she wears int he Kasumi DLC. It's not like it's going to worsen the KSM sales, since the DLC came out ages ago and people aren't that apt at ripping stuff from the third game and transporting it into the second.
I'm not even sure you can do that.
So why on earth did they use the fugly allers retexture

Wait what? Did I just completely miss it or something? Considering it auto-puts BroShep in the tux wouldnt it do the same for FemShep if she had a new outfit? Maybe it is a bug...
