Want to join this group ?: Post on BSN!!! Unless we know you we don't approve, to avoid trolls which we had way too many in the past. As a general rule try to get at least 50 posts in before asking to join. Want to change that pajamas you are forced to use on Skyhold ? done. Give hair to Solas ? done. Make Leliana red headead again ? done. Here we discuss what we know so far and the tools we have to view and modify the game assets files (CAS) and the game save files (DAS), courtesy of Warranty Voider (ME3 modding tools) and Ehamloptiran (Skyrim, Bioshock modding tools), wogoodes, ricco19, DarthParametric, Dan, DawnlessSky, Zhentar and many others who did mods for a lot of games. What a difference 3 6 months make! After DAI launched, on day 3, the tools we had were just for viewing and exporting, but we got a manual import on version 37. Even before that, on day 15 Ehamloptiran worked on a texture and mesh replacer tool with some success. On 12/16 Ehamloptiran released the texture import tool as a standalone beta tool for experienced modders, (on 12/16 Silvist replaced the dreaded brown jamies with a new color - for now all mods can do is recolor textures). Mesh imports have been done by Eham' but a tool to do it for all meshes in the game has been harder than expected and is still a work in progress. On January we got EBX import which allowed modders to do stuff like remove class restriction for armor and weapons, change camera to closeups on all conversations, make leveling up faster and more. (See first post on News thread for list of features released and planned, or look at Dan's thread) UPDATE 12/15: Less than a month after game launch we had mod tools <3 . By 12/19 we had a tools page on Nexxus and on 12/22 the first mod was published on Nexxus. 12/17 - Sound extraction tool 12/29 - mesh swap (no import). January: talktables extraction / modding, level explorer, lua script extracting, save file editing On Feb 6th there were over 80 mods at Nexxus done with our tools. Nowadays (June) we have over 400. See some examples of what modders did below. UPDATE: please refrain from using the mod tools to do "rule 34" work.
