Same here cya all can not flippin wait to see if Tali will be in the EC, not sleeping tonight just going to play mp until it launches then im going to continue for hours straight

Finally, finally managed to download the EC 2 hours ago (god, I hate downloading in Origin, took nearly 9 damn hours....) and played through from the Cerberus Base all the way to the Destroy ending, so here are my thoughts:


Decided that instead of taking James and Kaidan with me to the Conduit (since it was easier to headcanon those two as dying back in the original ending/s), I choose to take Garrus and Tali with me as my squadmates instead. Wasn't sure exactly what I was getting into at the start of the "Beam run", since nothing was new at all to the scenes.... then the sh*t hits the fan and Tali and Garrus get f***ed up  (well, Tali moreso than Garrus)

The new Beam scene indeed does work a hell of a lot better than the original by far as to explaining how the squadies get back on the Normandy, but by god, I was NOT prepared for that last goodbye between Shepard and Tali  -  Tali begging him not to leave her behind, Shepard softly telling her to return to Rannoch and build herself her home only for Tali to sob out "I have a home"....... god dammit, I honestly did cry at that scene, that was more heartbreaking to watch than Mordin's sacrifice, Thane's prayer, Legion's sacrifice, and Tali's "I want more time" scenes combined. :crying::crying:


I truthfully wasn't expecting the EC to deliver as well as it did.... honestly, I was expecting a god-damn slap in the face by the developers to the fans for calling out what utter bullsh*t the original endings were (although I suppose one could argue that the new Refusal ending could be taken as that, lol), but.... at least with the best version of the Destroy ending and with those final scenes on the Normandy with Tali followed by the "Shepard's breath" scene, I now have something that the original game could never provide me in its endings:

Hope that the galaxy of ME will continue to survive and even thrive with the Reapers destroyed.

Hope that the characters that I've come to know and care about in the course of 3 games will go on and be able to live out their lives in peace.

And finally.... Hope that Shepard and Tali will be reunited together... That neither one will be forced to leave the other behind.

I would like to second this statement because Everything he just said was what I thought, and I know there was alot of dissent about the original endings but Bioware really made something I can love and play again and again.

Vakarian+Tali+Shepard=Im happy.

Thats not biowares fault, Bioware and EA dont set the release times like hour minute, they only set the day, they download the content to the different platforms network, then the platform company decides what time to release it.

But Origin is EA's program...

Thats true I cant speak for origin but for psn xbox different countries stuff like that.

Hey if it was atleast there launching it now for no extra cost instead of either charging us or not releasing it at all? Indeed I have no facts. I simply look at the endings of other BW games like Neverwinter nights, Jade Empire, Dragon Age Origins and I refuse to believe that BW would have released the ending to a trilogy with such a raw and underdeveloped ending.

Also, please point out to me where exactly I have "bashed the game" in my comments? I like the game. I'm disappointed with the endings but I was never angry about it. I was only angry about people who shout: "BW and EA released a free DLC!!! You should be grateful!!!"

I understand where you are coming from, now that I understand you're  opinion I better understand you're side of the arguement and I respect you're opinions, thank you for claryfying

Who here got truly connected to the game and the characters? Like formed bonds (like a part of u nothing like love bonds) with the people you either saved, manced, were part of ur favorite squad, the game is a big part of me and I'll always love it, idk if anyone else loves the game like that as well though.

Tbh I only care about what happens to Shepard, Joker, Garrus and Tali, I manced my Tali through me2 and me3 i wanna see what happens. :']

First, i was joking, second, i am talking about them showing it to be downloaded, yet, saying its not released....torture. lol

haha, ok and trust me i know aboutt he torture xbox is being, words i dont state on the forums >..> i started the download at 11:00 am  its 12:40 and its only 54% df, but i quess thats xbox's fault not biowares xP

I can't believe the number of people who are ****ing an moaning about DLC which is free and adds a bunch of content to the game.

If you didn't like the endings, you probably won't like the EC, but that's your personal taste. I take my hat off to Bioware for going to the effort and spending the money needed to create and realease this, yet still charge nothing for it (I give this sort of compliment very rarely about a private company).

Applause for you and Bioware, Mass Effect 3 was an amazing game, i love the fact that if you werent  happy with your ending you could choose a new one, there were many choices which would sometimes drastically change the games, multiplayer is awesome and if you dont like the game, why are you on the forums?

I only complain about the xbox itself because there download and connection times are pure crap, but thats not biowares fault, and im willing to wait for it, its worth it.

If you look at the endings you'll understand why exactly they don't charge us for this. These EC endings are the one that were supposed to be there from the very beginning, but were cut out because BioWare didn't have enough time to finish it and EA forced them to launch the game on 6th of may.

EA forced them to, if bioware had more time then no one would be complaining, EA forced them Bioware made it amazing, EA made it worse by rushing it, if EA would have waited im sure there would be the same amount of fans because a game like ME3 is worth waiting for.

You misunderstand my point. I just don't like how people like to point out that the EC is free. It is NOT. It is something that was supposed to be part of the original game. Which means that we have already paid for it when we bought the game.

Can you name at least one such choice? Those 3 choices at the end don't coun't.

Drastically was an overstatement no matter whaty in the end the reapers are defeated, but im saying all the choices bioware put in it, choosing your squad romance what species you recruit, geth vs. quarian the challenges that come along with recruiting certain species like Krogen Turian Salarian, it makes the game so much more fun and makes you want to see all of the possibilitys and makes the game so much more deep and you never know whats going to be around the corner if you make a different desicion then your las playthrough and thats what makes Bioware and Mass Effect two amazing things.

That's strange... in Mexico EC was available from 5 am of this day (June 26) and in the Xbox Marketplace (for Mexico again) since 4 am (Central time).

Mexico is in fact a third world country and we got it before some first world guys and some of the third world european countries.... That's actually pretty awesome.

lucky i crashed some time around 5 am and woke up around 11 and its now 12 and its still not finished downloading, its like halfway
