Posté par FenixBlaze sur 26 janvier 2015 - 06:33 dans General Discussion (NO Spoilers)

that small patch on pc fixed the armor/shield bug from patch 3. My crafted gear pre-p3 is back to normal!

Don't know what else it fixed beside the armor/shield bug!!!!

#18293892 Who do you consider to be your "canon" romance from each game?

I'm not doing an cannon play-through till all expansion/dlc are out.
But for my cannon play-through will be either one of the three below.

* Gender of player - Male

* Gender of PC (in case of bisexual LI; some people provided this, but not everyone) - Male

* Is the canon playthrough the first playthrough? Is it done afterwards with the "best choices"? Read answer at start of post.

Cannon 1:

DA:O - Morrigan with Male Human (Mage 'Amell')

DA2 - Isabela with Male Hawk (Mage)

DA:I - Cassandra with Male Qunari (Warrior 'Adaar')

Cannon 2:

DA:O - Morrigan with Male Elf (Rogue 'Mahariel')

DA2 - Isabela with Male Hawk (Warrior)

DA:I - Cassandra with Male Human (Warrior 'Trevelyan')

Cannon 3:

DA:O -
Leliana with Male Human (Warrior 'Cousland')

DA2 - Isabela with Male Hawk (Mage)

DA:I - Josephine Montilyet with Male Human (Mage 'Trevelyan')

#18245931 How Do I Dual Wield 2 Swords or Axes?

The only way you and duel wield is if your a Rogue class and Dagger spec.
Other than that there is no way to duel wield a sword & axe, duel axe, sword & dagger, etc....

It's not like DA:O so you'll have to stick with S&S, 2h weapons, Staves, Bow's, or duel daggers.
Depending on what class/spec you are unless they patch/added to were we can do that.

#18205765 don't know how to level up properly?

so i just got inquisition for christmas 2 days ago but i am new to the third major game in the franchise... but i am only level 2 right now, i've spent talent pnts already but on the attribute section of the character records screen i dont know what to do to spend attribute pnts? it doesn't even say anywhere on it that i have some attribute pnts to spend? what do i do to spend them? HELP!

You only get skills points in this installment of DA.
Attribute points you get from unlocking some passive skills, lvling in general and/or gear.

#18151764 Approval rating

I'm confused by how approval works.  I initially thought it was part of romancing and that's what's confused me.  I wasn't sure who to romance at first but decided on Cassandra.  But after I gave her Varric's novel (which happened very shortly after arriving at Skyhold) which she greatly approved of she stopped approving, or disapproving, of anything I do.  Before I had even started her Unfinised Business quest, all I could do when I talked to her was ask her for advice.  Now I've completed Unfinished Business (no change to approval) and I can still only ask her for advice (which she's stopped giving anyway, all she'll say now is "Nothing I can think of at the moment, no.")

If I've completely screwed up this romance I'd at least like to know how and why?

Am I completely misunderstanding how approval is supposed to work?

Cassandra quest "Unfinished Business" isn't her personal quest! That is a side quest most companions have it.
Her personal quest is called "Promise of Destruction" then after that done you get her two romance quest.
One of which you've already done called "Guilty Pleasures", well "GP" kinda is and isn't a romance quest but I personal place it
under that area. The main romance quest is called "The Ideal Romance".

One thing to get any romance active is to always choice the flirt option whenever it pops up when your talking to your LI.
The other is to make sure their approval is high, you'll know this once you get their personal quest followed by the romance quest shortly after.

My first playthrough had romance Cassandra before I even finish "Unfinished Business"
That's because my approval high with her and had did her personal quest "Promise of Destruction".
The trick in this DA game is always talk to your companions before and after any mission.
That is how I figure out how to unlock peoples quest and or romance options.

#18089647 Approval rating

there is no approval rating bar.  It's not that you can't see it, its that its not in the game.

This is true plus there is no gifts like in DA:O/DA:A that you can spam to up your approval.

#18089621 Approval rating

So, i keep seeing people approving things i say/do...but dont know their overall approval rating for me. Where do i find this out? I cant see it.

You can't see it and a lot of people have b**** about it on the forums already.
The only way you know if your doing right by a companion is by the way they interact with you, personal quest, etc...

#18089422 What Specialization Class Would You Like To See in DA:I DLC/Expansions?

Warriors:

  • Spirit Warrior
  • Berserker
  • Seeker

Rouges:

  • Legionnaire Scout
  • Ranger

Mages:

  • Blood Magic
  • Shapeshifter

Some specialization people already stated and seem I don't think I saw posted.

#18068453 Dragon Age: Inquisition Patch Master Thread

Still stutters......had no issues before the patch.....the hotfix didn't fix the issues I got from the patch.... :(

I've been wondering about that. I had that appear recently as well and its just so completely out of place on the title screen.

Yea, last pc patch added it, notice it myself!
Can't remove it at all didn't see an option for it either.

#17872784 Players who have completed: level cap?

Yea, your right got the Underworld Knowledge perk mixed with the Massache's Method perk.

#17870822 Party AI

I am having the same issue here.  Has anybody else had this problem; party members doing nothing but using basic attack and none of their abilities?  Specifically Varic.

My Varric uses all his skill that I gave him, as for others no problems.
Only problem I have at times well for range AI in-general is they don't stay where u place them.

#17870807 Players who have completed: level cap?

I would guess most of the people that have finished already didn't spend a ton of time doing side quests.  I am in my low 20's already and have quite a bit of content left I believe, though I will be very over leveled for a lot of it I would guess :/

To answer your statement personally I have done a lot of grinding weather it was side quest or just killing random mobs.
Plus kind of depends on your group setup as well, personally on my first run was a standard setup.

1 tank (Cassandra), 1 melee (Iron Bull), 2 range (Myself as Archer, and Solas as mage)

By the last 1/4 of the game I had took out Bull and made myself duel wield and put Varric in as a range.
Not sure if anyone notice but for the main story missions it states between what lvl you can do that mission.
(Ex: Between levels 4-6) which is shown at the bottom of the mission statement.

Note: Cullen has an Inquisition Perk that gives you 50% more XP for killing foes.

Also keeping everyone geared helps a lot!

Just my OP!

#17861342 Players who have completed: level cap?

By the time I had finish was lvl 19 close to 20.
In crafted gear way better than what was normally dropping from mobs or vendors.
Killed 4 High Dragons before finishing.

#17782656 Dragon Age: The Quest for the Red Lyrium Reapers

Posté par FenixBlaze sur 17 novembre 2014 - 07:31 dans General Discussion (NO Spoilers)

I use Chrome...

Oddly enough, the Inquisitor interactive video was the best of the four...  I had zero issues with it at all... It was the other three that would freeze every 3 seconds...

Yea, I ended up using Chrome as well. Because at first though it was the site again not working. Then figure try Chrome last part worked how it should.

#17782395 Dragon Age: The Quest for the Red Lyrium Reapers

Posté par FenixBlaze sur 17 novembre 2014 - 07:07 dans General Discussion (NO Spoilers)

Okay... If the people at bioware are going to make a browser game where you have to watch and interact with a video, they need to set it up so the videos can run on computers that can't display them in 720 or 1080...  There's something seriously wrong if I have to click around at random to even have a chance of getting the fog because I can't see it due to the video stuttering every 3 seconds...

If your using Internet Explorer use a different internet browser, that's what I had to do and the last part worked fine.

But is it showing up in your DLC content? Because I completed it too but can't find confirmation anywhere.

Might have disable it all together, so may be a chance everyone will have to redo it weather they finished it or not.
I don't know I'm just assume at this point!

#17758675 level cap

Posté par FenixBlaze sur 15 novembre 2014 - 03:18 dans General Discussion (NO Spoilers)

If I recall right from the past DA games lvl caps went as below.

DA:O - cap was at 25
DA:O (Awakening Xpac) - cap was 35
DA2 - cap was I think 35

The first two I know for sure DA2 don't remember have to go onto one of my Hawks to check.
Kinda assume that maybe in DA:I cap might be 40 or no cap at all.
But from what I've read from some people on the forums, total points we earn was 31.
I believe that's without special books that were in DA:O/DA2.
Again not sure until the game comes out or till there is a 100% confirm on the max lvl cap.

#17757320 who will be your first LI

My first LI will either be Cassandra or Josephine! Depending on which world state I import and if my Inquisitor is Human or Qunari.
Female Inquisitor wise I would have to say LI would be Sera for Mage Inquisitor.

#17752735 Your party

Seeing how most of us don't know how some of our companions will react to what we do/say in DA:I.
We'll get different reaction and or play-out making things either easier or harder.

First Round would have to have the normal core setup Tank, Rogue, Mage and Support type (depends on what mission).

Tank - Male Qunari Warrior (Champion)
Support - Cassandra (Templar Dps)
Rogue - Varric (Archer Dps)
Mage - Solas

2nd Round

Tank - Cassandra
Rogue - Male Human Archer (Tempest)
Mage - Vivienne
Support - Cole

3rd Round

Tank - Blackwall
Support - Iron Bull
Rogue - Sera (Archer Dps)
Mage - Male Elf (Rift Mage)

Atm that's what I'm thinking though it may change come the 18th lol.... <_<
