I can create a mod for it.You can't get it in game for the inquisitor.
Thanks. I found it in the game files. I'll try to make it wearable. That's Fereldan armour. You can see King Alistair's guards wearing it.

Thanks for all the replies. And in terms of the general story? Is there a significant difference?

Mage Elf romancing The Dread Wolfy: the only way to play this game and get all the lore.
Thanks, but how drastic is the difference compared to a non-mage PC?

Story, Campaign, and Characters
I'm currently planning my next playthrough where I want to experience all the new DLCs (I've only played the main campaign). And I'd really like to play a rogue from a gameplay/combat perspective. On the other hand when playing a mage is highly beneficial in a Solasmance playthrough I could easily give the mage PC the rogue skill trees since I'm playing on PC.
So, what's the difference between a rogue and a mage Solasmance playthrough? Spoilers allowed.

My current favorite is the Refined Prowler Mail (I'm not 100% sure it's the right name in english though) which can be crafted. it's a level 3 armour.
Yeah, it looks great. But I can't stand the "spread" leather piece on the hip part of it. Otherwise I'd use it more often.

What do you think is the most badass looking equipment in the game?
I realized something yesterday: There's equipment I've never seen before and some of it looks awesome. The following sword made me want to play a sword'n'board warrior. Too bad we can't change the grip on it.

I'm still concerned with my reaver playthrough but I can't wait to try another character. I've created a human dual-wielding artificer rogue which will (most likely) romance Cassandra - in this case my Inquisitor will have a religious disposition. She'll be the tank in the party. But I can't decide which other two companions to take along.
My thoughts so far:
What do you think?

Thanks Rascoth, that's a very handy list. I wonder how Walking Fortress affects the Reaver abilities. Am I still able to lose health by my own Reaver abilities or is there no life drain once this ability is active? In case of the latter, will my Reaver abilities still deal increased damage or is it completely negated?

I currently play a Reaver tank and switch between 2-handed and sword'n'board constantly depending on situation. Now I wonder which fade-touched materials would synergize best with my character, especially when I decide to go with a 2-handed weapon and be a lot more squishy as a tank.

Thanks for all the helpful replies. I decided to take Cole and Dorian along and kick Varric out of the team since he was a party member in my last playthrough (before JoH and Descent). And it seems Varric isn't all that interesting in the DLCs. Thanks again.

As for the DLC side of things Cole will die quite often unless you are playing him.
Even as an archer?

General Discussion (Spoilers)
Currently I try to decide between these two characters. I don't care much about combat efficiency, more about the lore and party banter, especially regarding the two story DLCs because I haven't played them yet. My Inquisitor is an elven Reaver tank and usually take Varric and Solas along.
Which one would fit better, Cole or Dorian?

The sword is Sulevin's blade, and the abilIty is spirit blade. I used mods to be able to get a 2 handed sword on a mage, and to make spirit blade blue.
Where can I get these mods?

Lol, Your post got me to roll up a warrior and try to make a two hander work for me... Fem Elf with big ass weaponry is amusing... probably going to go reaver just for the kicks.
Actually I had the exact same plan for my character. Female Elf romancing Solas (because this one might become very interesting) and going rage mode in battle. ![]()

I'm playing a DW Tempest Rogue on nightmare with no warriors in the group and I'm owning these guys with my none min/maxed build... ie I don't have shadow strike or death blow. JoH is proving to be a breeze. Just needed to change up my gear to account for their BS abilities and moved on... probably going to hate the bosses but Oh well.
And the point of that is to demonstrate the lack of a need to worry about having optimal class build especially on difficulties below nightmare. I will admit that it took me a while to find my groove with the rogue and I had a heck of a time with 8 abilities limit, but I've found a functional build for my enjoyment. So give it a go and rock the house with your rage!
That made me think again about rolling a DW Artificer rogue as some sort of tank (non-stealth, face-to-face action). But Dragon Rage looks so awesome! Well, it's a tough decision...
Thanks for your reply. ![]()

After a long time not playing DA:I I decided to start a new playthrough. This time I want to play a warrior, the only one in the party and therefore the tank. Reaver is my chosen specialization because I like the look of it (Dragon-Rage!) and want to deal a significant amount of damage. I don't plan to play on Nightmare. Is it possible to use a two-handed weapon on a Reaver main tank or should I use S&S?

The time changing is unnecessary.
It is necessary, at least for me. I saved the game in Skyhold/Emprise, closed the game, adjusted the system clock by +3 hours and ported to the Hissing Wastes merchant. If he haven't had the schematics I wanted I closed the game by Alt+F4, set the clock +3h again and checked the merchant again. By this method I got all the schematics I wanted within 1 hour.
All the other steps listed in here are unnecessary though.

Build looks extremely awesome, but I have one issue.
You don't seem to have 'Flaskmaster' from the tempest tree, but you do have 'Ride the Storm', it doesn't let me get Ride the Storm from the 'Lightning Flask' skill.
Am I doing something wrong here?
No, the guide is wrong. You can't get Ride the Storm without Flaskmaster.

I never knew about the 'adapt to weapon given' thing, that sounds kinda sweet. Is this confirmed by testing?
I did this with three of my companions. Two of them adapted the skill choices and one (Cole) did not.

Do you mean this?: Dragon Age Inquisition Highland Ravager killed in under 5 seconds! (Nightmare)
Seems to be around 4 seconds perhaps. Is there an even faster kill?
It's possible to do that in less than 3 seconds with a Superb Dragon-Slaying Rune and a second Hidden Blades enchantment.
