Frankly, that looks really good for only three hours of work. Any smaller/monochrome work would likely be far less of an ordeal...  B)

*shrugs* ...in all honesty, if you want some artwork done of any kinda, find yourself a good tattoo artist. Even if you aren't getting the tattoo (and they'd probably want a commission for the art itself if thats true), they'd still be the best bet for local renown artistic talent.

P.S. Hi! - long time no see, people...

Speak o' the devil - first Fallout 4 Litho:

art-litho-fo-garage-full.jpg

I like it quite a bit, and even noticed the email about it, yet missed it - out of 500, too. Saw that the # per customer has been increased to 3, so sent off some logical hopefully-not-too-scathing emails, one to THBS and another to the THBS/Bethesda helpdesk. As it's a pre-sale item, I'm hoping they'll cancel all the 3x orders, re-issue them as 2x orders, and sell the remainder as 1 per customer ...but I kinda doubt they'll go this 'extra mile'.

They also released a smaller unlimited variant, as they've become accustomed to doing, but it's practically a mini - very thin. Whatever happened to us admonishing them for releasing both a limited and an unlimited variant of the same piece? ...and whatever happened to 1-2 per customer?!?  ...kinda pissed off here.

Fallout Art; it's all pretty rare to be honest - unlike most of the other games (Mass Effect obviously being a great example) they didn't release that many Fallout 3 Lithos/Giclees ...~6 total, all with runs less than 300. Given the huge fan-base, these all instantly sold, and only a few show up on eBay, usually 'overpriced'. As "We'll Be There" practically never shows up on eBay, I generally consider it the rarest ...but, with Fallout 4 just around the corner, I'm sure they'll 'fix' that...

Excess collections; I'm sure some of them are really nice, but if you don't have any plans or intentions to frame or hang them, I honestly wouldn't know why you'd want to hang on to them ...kinda my reasoning, anyways. *shrugs*

Alice Art; surprising to hear that an artist could go off on their own, selling their own creations of a copywritten theme. Personally, never got into the game, but the Chesire Cat piece sounds intriguing...

Consoles; the Xbox controller is certainly what I feel most 'at home' with - same kinda controller I use when gaming on my computer (though I generally prefer mouse/keyboard). Playstation - never played the earlier variants, and I've had access to a PS3 for a while now, but rarely play on it - using it for movies. However, I mysteriously got a PS4 about a year ago, but have only put ~5 hours into it total (Destiny, FIFA 15 ...meh). Absolutely loved my original Xbox, which I still have but never play ...bought a used X360 back in the day, but it only lasted ~30 seconds ...might pick up an X-BONE, but I'd honestly rather put the money into my computer ...while I pointedly have no motivation to play anything, atm. :/

@Dan - how's school goin?

@Beocat - still peddling drugs? :P

@Vometia - still love cheese? :o

@Ablazed - life story?!? - ready-set-go!

Hows everyone and their lithos?

I unfortunately broke down and sold ~50% of my collection. I had nowhere to hang them, couldn't afford to frame them, and honestly wasn't sure if I'd ever get around to doing either, so I figured there wasn't much harm in it - you can get the gist of what I parted with over here.

As for my remaining collection at present: linky

My three ME2 Litho's are my pride and joy ...the only early one(s) that I still feel I kinda missed out on would be Illium and maybe Saren, but they're going for $400+ on eBay, so I doubt I'll ever see it - maybe I should try for a Mini? ...I had bought several other ME Lithos, including Aria and Reaper Attack which I also framed, but I've parted with almost all of them and haven't bought any new ones ...ended up giving away an unframed/unsigned/unnumbered Saga and my framed Reaper Attack to a family friend in the military who was a fan - seemed right. I've yet to successfully sell Aria, though - I keep putting it up on eBay every once in a while, for less than the amount of money I put into it (~$300), and no one bites. Only thing not pictured is my set of 5 Mini Litho Characters, which I'm still not sure what to do with ...we'll see.

As far as DA:O, I missed out on a full sized Price of Power, and that never seems to show up on eBay, so I bought the Mini Bundle when the store still had it, and got both framed ...haven't hung them much, but they're two of my favorites. Around the same time, Sten's poster was on sale and low stock, so I figured I'd buy it and get a cheapo-frame for it. Despite not liking the in-game character at all, his cinematic appearance is pretty badass, imho.

Lastly, the Fallout Lithos/Giclees really caught my eye, but I unfortunately missed most of them. Caught the Monument, and framed that - turned out really nicely, I thought. I have since bought Epic Story and We'll Be There off eBay; Epic Story seemed to come from a guy like me, and I got it for only ~$85 which I thought was very reasonable. On the other hand, just recently managed to get the rare We'll Be There and had to shell out ~$185 ...didn't think much of the pricetag, especially since I got so much from a few I myself sold, but the guy was unfortunately (at the very least) an 'investor' - intentionally bought at least 2 in order to flip at least 1. So conflicted - I actually have proof (that requires me to reactivate my facebook account) that I replied to Amy's comment on this Facebook Album, suggesting an in-game picture of the eventual print they sold months later, and yet I missed it...and likely wouldn't have gotten it were it not for this guy flipping it... :/  Anywho, not sure when I'm going to frame them, but have plans for both.

That wraps up my Litho/Art life as far as THBS goes. Nothing else has particularly interested me, and aside from being an Elder Scrolls fan, their art hasn't been particularly motivating ...maybe because I never got into tESOnline.

Hope all is well with the rest of ya...

Well howdy, strangers...

Any of you paying attention to E3 or your spam-email folder? ...if not, here's a first look at ME Andromeda. Thoughts? Ready-set-go!

Characters; Protagonist is very Shepard-esque, though pointedly doing everything possible to cover up that potential confirmation. Definitely male, probably a human soldier, Alliance affiliated (another N7 - was honestly hoping for a change-up there, but oh well), allied with a krogan and a smaller female(?) humanoid, fighting humanoids ...possibly with large heads - turians/collectors/something new.

Story; The one thing that seemed definite at the end of ME3 was the destruction of the Mass Relays, which this trailer seems to confirm - FTL'in from one planetoid to the next, seeking out available and valuable resources (little spherical things on the monitor?). It actually kinda reminds me of FTL (the game), just obviously much more intense and immersive. Otherwise, looks like a new spaceship...?

Tech; New Mako - interesting. New jetpack thingy - gimmicky. Slightly new armor/weapons - to be expected. Underground expandable/retractable buildings - odd.

Other; Game engine is supposedly Frostbite - developed by DICE. Come to think of it, not sure what the other ME games used, but this is news to me. Also, around the 1:20 mark of the video, you get a good look at the back of the protagonists head/neck... Almost makes me think it might be a cyborg/surrogate-robot that might only be 'part' Shepard - I'm obviously really reaching here, but it would help explain the amount of free space in the neck/back-of-the-head area, and the somewhat odd helmet.

Link to the Litho, should anyone be interested.

...and they still have a few articles of clothing for the Kaidan enthusiasts - but yeah, similar to Ashley, they didn't produce much memorabilia surrounding them, for (I think) obvious reasons. Doesn't mean there aren't fans for both/either still out there...

Agreed with Dante, but I feel the need to also point out that this isn't particularly EA, Bioware, or the Bioware store's doing. Granted, some higher-up at EA gave this the green light, but any fault in the model likely lies with the creators; "ThreeZero" - just sayin...

#18922318 Add Mass Effect 1 to Games (Profile)

Posté par Dsurian sur 03 avril 2015 - 08:47 dans BioWare Forum/BSN Help

ME1 is already registered to Origin on my side but no badge

Same deal with me. Bought the physical copy on release day. Registered it on my EA account at some point (it's been a while ago - possibly even before 'Origin'). Still hasn't showed up since the update...

P.S. How is it that 'Bring Down the Sky' and 'Pinnacle Station' aren't nicely integrated into the core game via DLC/Expansions on Origin? ...Pinnacle Station is awkwardly separated, and Bring Down the Sky is nowhere to be found (afaik)...

Edit: So, by clicking the info 'i' on the ME1 virtual icon in Origin, it displayed a digital code...so I then tried to re-register that same code on my account, which surprisingly worked for some reason...so I got a second digital copy of ME1 tied to the same account, which I then hid as it was kinda pointless...but at least I now have an the ME1 badge properly displayed on my profile.

#18730742 Affordable Lithos?

Posté par Dsurian sur 05 mars 2015 - 02:01 dans BioWare Merchandise

Short answer; no. The original release of "The Team" was indeed that larger format; 22x39.5", an LE series of 500, all of which were signed - no more will likely ever be printed. They are also somewhat highly sought after, so if you'd really want one, your best bet will likely be eBay...and even then, it'll be uncommon, and probably more than $100... I saw one go for ~$225 a couple months ago.

Having said that, there's nothing particularly wrong with the variant still available in the store, unless you need a #/sig. Is it technically smaller? - yeah, but 18x24" is the standard...it's the same dimensions of the majority of the other Lithographs that were printed, and a LOT cheaper. All-in-all, I think there were only 5(ish) different extra-large prints, and only one of them is relatively common on the open market (ME3 "Earth Alliance").

I'm 90%++ sure this existed:

As far as the statues, afaik, there was one male and one female...but the male wasn't Bishoujo, and the female had at least two variants (hair color, arms, etc.)

#18546054 Sneak Peek for our Quarian friends...

Posté par Dsurian sur 06 février 2015 - 07:53 dans BioWare Merchandise

...it's missing quite a few details, specifically on the shoulder.

That shoulder is a bit unfortunate if it is a statue, but that's one of the reasons I actually think it is a statue. The headdress/facemask has too much detail to be a plushie, or really anything else similar. It's not art or attire. I guess it could be an 'action figure', but I seriously hope not...and the only thing left is a model. So yeah, probably a statue, with some detail work missing, but meh...

#18467506 Female Shepard?

Posté par Dsurian sur 26 janvier 2015 - 01:00 dans BioWare Merchandise

Also, I think there was an N7 Day Litho a couple years back; two separate prints, one with male and the other with female Shep. I'd actually be tempted to say there might have been more female specific items than male specific when it comes to Shepard him/herself - those statues, for instance...not sure there was ever a male created (at least, not for that specific series).

#18434579 Non-Bioware Games Discussion

Posté par Dsurian sur 21 janvier 2015 - 11:08 dans The Treehouse

Just been continuing my nostalgic slip-stream, honestly...  Just finished yet another play-through of the Starcraft 2: WoL campaign, in an attempt to make it as canonical as possible...easy way to get my RTS fix from a game I already know I love. Also, been jumping randomly into a relatively popular MMO/T-FPS called World of Tanks (think I mentioned it before) ...can be very aggravating, especially with my shite isp, but it has its moments. ...but yeah, nothing new has particularly got me excited or intrigued.

Steam, for instance, has been pushing Pre-Ordered / Early Access games to a relative extreme, which I've started flatly refusing to take part in - why would I guarantee my money towards a game that is still in development and not yet critically appraised? ...alternatively, several adult anime titles have gotten really popular through Steam, which is kinda scary imho. They (HuniePop, Sakura Angels, etc.) appear to be very basic and very 'story' dependent...with lots and lots of ****** (supposedly - not like I'd buy them, but they claim nudity). It brings up an interesting point though, as most anything with nudity in it would get the ESRB (US game ratings) AO (Adults only - 18+) rating, which would prevent them from being sold in stores and Steam has a policy against such games ...but these games aren't american made, and aren't rated by the ESRB as physical copies haven't been marketed...so they're allowed on Steam. Very strange...

Still haven't played DA2, and thus haven't even bought Inquisition...  :(

@Beocat; I guess you would vouch for watching Walking Dead the TV show...? Still haven't watched it, so I honestly couldn't care less about the games I've seen thus far related to it...  :?

#18393889 Anyone selling Ltd Edition Liara or N7: Tagged Lithograph?

Posté par Dsurian sur 17 janvier 2015 - 07:23 dans BioWare Merchandise

It really just depends...those two were obviously released very recently and didn't sell particularly fast, so I'd say you'd have a decent chance of finding them on eBay from flippers, but you gotta be a bit realistic concerning your asking price. Less than $99 would be great, $100-150 isn't too bad, but anymore than that you're likely shootin for a particularly rare piece (ex: Illium - one of the earliest, rarest, and most sought-after Lithos went for just over $400 a month ago).

Just sayin, eBay is probably your best bet - either/or, I wouldn't bother offering anymore than $150 atm...but be prepared to pay at least $75 (even before shipping).

Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays, etc etc etc ...main point: Be Happy, damnit!

No idea what I've gotten yet (obviously), but I did successfully sell 3 more lithos - so just the custom framed ones (that I'll likely never sell at this rate) and the DS2 mini-3-pack left. Hope everyone is doing ok and relatively filled with the joy of living.

Posté par Dsurian sur 13 décembre 2014 - 12:28 dans BioWare Merchandise

Not exactly the right place to post - the Biowarestore.com deals specifically with the merchandise, which is the point of this subset of the forums. "Bioware Points" relate directly to EA and Origin, and they're likely never going to discount their DLC...at least, I've never seen them do it. Kinda why they don't mind putting a game like ME3 on sale for $5 this holiday...when you'd have to spend another $50 to get the actual 'complete' game. *grumble*

#18073023 New Tarot Card Giclees!

Posté par Dsurian sur 13 décembre 2014 - 12:18 dans BioWare Merchandise

Just found this. So... I understand "Queen of Staves" is out for some time already and permanently sold out? And were there more than these at some point because you said the second set; or do you just mean  The Queen was the first "set"?

'Limited Edition' should mean that it's pointedly limited, so once it's sold out, it's gone for good. However, there have been a few exceptions made in the past - such as "The Team" and "Saga" Mass Effect Lithographs, and a host of 'Mini-Lithos'...but I've never seen a Giclee get such treatment, so you're likely out of luck.
