Been scanning the forum threads about the ending, and I haven't seen anyone mention that the Prothean VI on Thessia said that someone/thing else was controlling the Reapers. Then at the end we find out that it's the Catalyst ghostchild. Do folks still think that the reveal of the Catalyst came out of the blue? I remembered that scene as I was approaching the endgame and was wondering if Shepard would find out who was controlling the Reapers.

I don't know why, but I've struggled with the ethics of the Sidonis mission. In the mindsets of my paragade and renegade Sheps, it makes perfect sense to kill off Sidonis. My first mainShep playthrough didn't even try to talk to Sidonis because she ~~wanted to score with Garrus~~ was afraid of ruining Garrus' chance to get the revenge he wanted. My second renegade Shep talked to Sidonis, but let him die for dramatic/angsty effect. I'm in the middle of replaying my main paragade Shep, so maybe I'll save him.

Have you seen this thread (about modding xbox saves on pc). This is for ME2, but there could be similar solutions for ME1: http://social.biowar...3/index/2277020

FYI, when you get to ME2, you can import your ME1 game to ME2 without changing the face, then change the class in the next screen. So you could import your first playthrough with your original face.

Also I thought the PC and Xbox face codes were the same, so anyone solutions on the PC would probably translate to the xbox.

Mass Effect movie, yesss!!!

If there's a Shepard character, my heart wants a FShep, but I'm ok with a MShep too. Maybe there's a way to have a Shepard character without revealing Shepard's identity? Like Shepard runs around with a helmet on the whole time.

And, after the movie is made, Sci-Fi network should launch a Mass Effect TV series.

Do you think there will be DLC related to the news updates on the Cerberus Network? All I've been reading this past week is about that terrorist attack on a Turian colony. Which makes me think that Bioware is priming us for new missions down the road.

My main one is Anita Shepard, in honor of my favorite actress / cantopop star the late Anita Mui.

Also started one with Roxane, who's face is based on Rosario Dawson. But I thought "Rosario Shepard" was a mouthful. So I looked on Rosario Dawson's IMDB page and found one of her characters was named Roxane, who was married to Colin Farrell's Alexander the Great in the craptacular "Alexander" movie.

I haven't voted this poll yet, still playing through the male side. My maleShep finally made it into ME2, trying to decide between Miranda and Jack for this playthrough. I think my character is too renegade to go for Tali, maybe I'll try with a different Shepard.

It's interesting that Garrus and Tali are faves in both polls. Is it because of them spanning 2 games, that people feel they have a deeper relationship with them than the others?

@samurai_wahoo, yeah, I heard about the new show, I don't know about the premise of finding a new "Nikita" to replace the old one, but I definitely want to see what Maggie Q does with it.

About applying LFN logic to ME2, that means Section 1=Cerberus, TIM=Operations? I think Michael would keep the base, even if he doesn't trust TIM at all (that's what I'm planning to do anyway). Then again, in the show Michael escapes while Nikita stays behind (so what would Nikita Shepard do?)

(gee, this is fun, metagaming based on a tv show)

Doing an ME1 playthrough now with my first manShep, Colonist/Ruthless background, modeled him after the character Michael Samuelle from the TV Show "La Femme Nikita". His ends are just, but his means are ruthless... (to paraphrase the show's intro) In the show, Michael's weakness is Nikita, who he's in love with even though he's always manipulating her emotions for the sake of missions. At the moment, Ashley=Nikita, but he'll change his mind in ME2 with either Miranda or Jack (probably Jack, since she's murdered people and was part of a top secret program). Man, I loved that show...

The face I made matches Roy Dupuis pretty well (the actor who plays Michael). It makes playing as a renegade a little easier when manShep looks sexy. When I import him into ME2, I'll try to rebuild his face and post the code to the ME2 faces website. On an aside, the male voice acting throws me off, partly because it's so monotone, but also because I keep wanting to hear a Quebeçois accent... oh well.

So far Garrus is my main squeeze, he's just so cool and adorable. I killed off Kaidan with my main femShep, but I went back to see what happens when you save him. 2 things turned me off:

1. FemShep throwing Kaidan over her shoulder when rescuing him from the bomb; dude, I know you're hurtin', but at least pretend to man up before I gotta haul your ass out of there.

2. During the bedroom scene, Kaidan starts talking about wanting to protect femShep or not let anything happen to her (I forget the exact wording). Dude, I just threw you over my shoulder to save your ass and you want to protect me? (The sex was hot, though... too bad.)

I do want to try all the romances, though. Also I hadn't considered doing too many playthroughs with manShep, but then I saw this youTube tribute to the Tali romance, so now I'm curious.

Definitely spoilers here, but what the heck, I'll play. Three Shepards for me, profiles for the first two:

1. Female Vanguard, Earthborn, Sole Survivor
Paragade; makes mostly moral & pro-alien choices, but believes in revenge. Tragedy marks her life at every turn.
ME1: All paragon choices for main missions, Wrex alive, started romance with Kaidan but left him behind. Council sacrificed. Anderson is Council member.
ME2: Squad loyal except Miranda (couldn't turn her back after fight). All squad and crew survive. Romanced Garrus, but regrets that she's turned him full renegade in ME1&2. Collector base destroyed. Akuze motivated her to prepare well to survive, and to blow off TIM.

2. Male Infiltrator, Colonist, Ruthless
Renegade mostly; he wins at any cost, and doesn't let collateral damage deter him. He regrets all his actions, regardless.
ME1: Still working through 1st playthrough, so far all Renegade choices for main missions. Will leave behind Kaidan and romance Ashley. Will do both endings, but probably spare the Council, what does he care if more Alliance lives are lost. (besides, the alternative is too depressing for me)
ME2: Push all squadies to be renegades, get Tali exiled. Get 3 or 4 squad members killed for dramatic effect. Don't know how many crew will be spared. Cheat on Ashley with Jack (not with renegade route). Probably keep the collector base.

For the 3rd one, I'm working on a profile for a Paragon female who romances Liara.

Just finished 1st playthrough with all survivors, but now I feel guilty because I peeked at spoilers to achieve that. Planning to kill off a few with a new Shepard.

Just curious, if you had to pick 3 to die, who has the best / most dramatic death scenes? (think Mace Windu's spectacular death)

When I played as a female elf, I didn't tell Alistair all the details, esp. the impregnating Morrigan part. Yet post-coronation he says that he'd rather not mention that Morrigan left to have his "demon baby" to the Wardens. So with a female character, he seems to know everything about the ritual (guess he really does know where babies come from).
