As much as it pains me to admit it I miss that thread.

I do too.

Actually just so we're clear, no one really cares about anything anyone says here, it's just venting at an imaginary wall, it will have no effect on anything, anywhere, ever.

Wow, you sound hella emo tbh.

If they were willing, perhaps Chris, Stan and David Gaider could return to keep the forums open, this is something I could support.

BioWare: What? You want to defeat the catalyst? Well, I don't know about that, but do you like bananas? What? You don't know? Well, I know where you can find out.

Well my sons are fully dressed, and not in their 30's, they are only in their 20's, and my youngest is not going for magic gloves but his legendary ring before it disappears soon. So I do not understand this analogy.

Okay, well, do you remember that episode of Breaking Bad where Jessie Pinkman's parents kick him out of his aunt's house because they caught him making meth in the basement? Well maybe this is a better analogy, the meth is "toxicity" and the Pinkmans didn't want to take the time to moderate the basement's contents.

Is this what it feels like to be a kid whose parents are going through a divorce?

I think this is what it feels like to be a kid whose parents are throwing them out, because they're 30 years old and their parents are tired of the sight of them sitting at the computer in their underpants raiding for a set of magic gloves in WoW.

Forum section DLC.

And the Off-Topic section can be a Gamestop pre-order bonus.

I wonder if people would be willing to pay a yearly subscription to keep the place open?  As much as it galls me to reward utter contempt with money - it might be preferable to the scattering that awaits us all.  And one thing we do know is that they *love* cash.

Yeah, sure, maybe they could make it a perk of EA Access?

We can totally have long, structured discussions on lore and things like politics in the setting(s) in the comment sections to PewDiePie's videos. I have seen the light, these forums truly serve no purpose when such a superior option is available.

That isn't BioWare's problem anymore. I think they're relieved.

If BioWare doesn't want to continue investing time and money into this little corner of the greater fandom, I guess that's their business. I truly did love the BioWare Social Network, but this place always did seem like a pretty sorry substitute, and I lost my remaining interest after BioWare closed Off-Topic. Oh well, the experiment is over, breakups happen. Good luck with whatever you decide to do next, BioWare. Live long, and make good games. Maybe some day I'll drop by on one of those newfangled social media platforms and say "hi."

#20400211 Hotter romance options!

Posté par ObserverStatus sur 23 juillet 2016 - 05:16 dans General Discussion

Physically everything is on point; hip, waist to chest ratio 10/10. The problem is in the personalities. Each and every romance option seemed to have some sort of emotional baggage and/or socially awkward. It felt like I was picking up girls with serious daddy issues at the bar.

Can we/me/whoever, just get one normal crew member to sleep with?

They already tried that with Jacob, BioWare fans don't know how to appreciate normal crew members.

#20400208 Why so little faith in Mass Effect Andromeda?

Posté par ObserverStatus sur 23 juillet 2016 - 05:09 dans General Discussion

In defense of DA:I's fetch quests, let's see how ME3 did them:

Especially when I played ME3 first, I had no idea where to start with the fetch quests that Shepard got by spying on innocent bystanders and often were automatically given, without a chance to refuse. There were log entries with little to no clues. It turned out that I simply had to ignore them. If the player is a completionist then he/she would encounter the quest items anyway. However, the logs rarely updated once you found one. And most of the time I had completely forgotten who the quest giver was and were to find him or her. They made no impression on me. So, once in a while I systematically roamed every level of the Citadel looking for quest givers to return items or looking for new quests. It was really that bad.

I rather do the DA:I fetch quest than those in ME3.

Remember the fetch quests in ME2? You bought presents for your staff, and then, no more fetch quests. ME2 was great.

#20094345 Feedback... be more like The Witcher 3

Posté par ObserverStatus sur 21 février 2016 - 05:47 dans Feedback & Suggestions

So Fallout 4 won DICE game of the year. How do people feel about that? No i am not trying to be mean. Witcher 3 won best story.

Uh, idk, I guess DICE has the right to give the award to whoever they want, but really now, Undertale was way better.

Speaking about goty. There is a interesting poll going on on gamefaqs.com about which game was the most worthy overall Goty winner in their respective year.

strongestgoty.jpg

http://www.gamefaqs....373-pc/73304663

Of course it's only a small sample size and in no way representative but from my experience outside of this forum it catches the general opinion about the game. It's also interesting because it was done on a neutral gaming forum.

The consensus seems to be either that the game didn't deserve it's goty awards at all or that it only won so many because it had a very weak competition and there wasn't a single outstanding game in 2014.

Wow, 5% of these clowns really voted for Bioshock? Don't they know that Metroid Prime 3 came out the same year?

The less Bioware tries to be like CDPR, the better.

Can't go any worse than the time they tried to be Bethesda.

#20056794 So, about early game squadmates...

Posté par ObserverStatus sur 01 février 2016 - 07:52 dans General Discussion

Drack and Cora are the two confirmed companion names, right? If so, I'm kind of hoping that Cora is an Asari and that she and Drack are the starting squadmates. Beginning the game with two aliens on our team would make for something very new, and if the move to Andromeda is as multi-species and cooperative a venture as I think it is, it could also set up some interesting roleplaying opportunities. i.e. Exactly how cooperative with the other species does our protagonist feel like being?

I know there isn't much to go on in the first place, but what are your hopes for the start-of-game squadmates?

If those two are New-Shepard's starting companions, I'm more interested in which one dies first. Starting companion always has to die, it's a BioWare tradition.

#19950279 Anyone excited to see what Bioware and ME:A can learn from Fallout 4?

Posté par ObserverStatus sur 14 décembre 2015 - 11:33 dans General Discussion

Maybe it can be done on the chemistry table. (Mod)

I didn't know about this starch thing. I guess I need to plant some different stuff. Does it auto fill into storage or do you need to pick it and store as junk/break it down.

From what I understand, it autofills into storage. Just build some water pumps, tatos, corn, and mutfruit plants, make some people work on the plants, leave the town alone for a little while, and before long you should have some starch making materials. I'm not actually sure whether the produce is moved into storage like the water seems to, or if the storage is just accessing the inventories of the plants though. The workshop seems to only have access to produce grown in the same settlement as it.

Wait, seriously you are growing starches...but there is no option to distill it and make alcohol?

The hell is wrong with the PC.

At one point, the PC can acquire a robot that is also a walking nanobrewery, does that count?

I've got 97 dinner trays but I need some good old duct tape, trade?

No you don't, just build a radio beacon and get more people to work on your vegetable starch plantation.
