No gameplay, no info dump, just a few glimpses and that's it. From what I saw, the game looks amazing visually, but at your f-ing kidding me Bioware. You put out a Teaser Trailer at E3 2015, and then said we'd learn more later in the year. That didn't happen. So you had a full year to put something real together, and this is what you made us wait for?
That's pretty weak. That's weaksauce supreme.

This post is so filled with factual errors and nothing but speculation it is pointless.
It ignores the history of game development with regards to delays all to hedge the conversation into a worry wart post. It is not unusual for games to be delayed, there is also no correlation with a game's quality and pre-release information. Bethesda doesn't provide much information at all on their games pre release and they are successful non the less, with as many fans loving their games as those who QQ about them that Bioware does. Bioware provides lots of information and they get just as many fan loving their games and hating them as bethesda.
Gamers need zero information on a game until the game is featured locked. The reason for this is that gamers are not a monolith of opinions so knowing about a feature before hand is meaningless as you can't provide an informed opinion of how said feature is implemented until you play it. And one group of players SUBJECTIVE opinion of said feature doesn't negate a separate group of player's opposite subjective opinion of said feature. So what exactly is the "benefit" of pre release knowledge? The benefit isn't to the player but to the company on "buzz" to generate pre-order sales, which are terrible for gamers to begin with.
Just because you WANT to know more doesn't mean a rat's bottom you are not entitled to more information. When the game's media embargo is lifted player will have ample opportunity to know if it is a game worth the purchase price or not. And if they are still in doubt WAIT post release date for player feed back.
Creating drama over no released information of a game that is not due to be released a year from now is childish and does nothing to serve the community.
How exactly do you view yourself within the context of the community?

I would say 90% of the Bioware Fan Community knew the game was gonna be delayed by the time 2015 ended with no new info on the game.

So I looked at Fire Emblem Fates, and I have to reiterate that Dragon Age should not be like that.
With Dragon Age I feel like I am experiencing an adventure, almost living it through my character. Seeing Fire Emblem's style, it looks like a video game. Dragon Age shouldn't feel like you're playing a game-y game.
That makes no sense whatesover. A video game is a video game.

Yeah man imagine the potential this game would have when it comes to classes. Marbaris, Elves, Werewolves, Dwarves, Qunari, Golems, etc.
According to the twitter poll, 77% of people who voted are interested in this.

Yes yes yes for the love of god yes! A Dragon Age game with tactical combat like Fire Emblem or XCom would blend so well together. This needs to happen! Anyone who thinks this wouldn't work has probably never played a Tactical Rpg. Otherwise you'd know how much potential there would be in something like this.
If you don't want this game to be made, please do us TRpgs fans a favor and shut your face. You'll still have your DA4, but for the love of god you should still support this. Let Bioware branch out with different genres. This could be something truly awesome. It's obvious that Mark Darrah's is interested in doing this, so let him.

I can't fully agree with this. You'll always have people claiming a developer is dead, but it wasn't like this. Despite any naysayers at the time, Baldur's Gate all the way up to DA:O, were all generally accepted to be great games. It wasn't until DA2 that Bioware games started receiving more and more criticism, to the point where some of them received outright backlash, that was heard across the Internet. Not to mention the style of these games started to change as they became more and more streamlined.I could understand that reasoning if there wasn't the negativity towards Mass Effect 1 and Dragon Age: Origins for both games were criticized because they weren't enough like Knights of the Old Republic or Baldurs Gate and people were claiming BioWare was dead then too.

I don't know of any rumors, but I would be absolutely shocked if ME:A actually does get released in 2016. Bioware's last games have all had delays, and we're now in 2016 and we haven't seen any gameplay footage/images, or have gotten a real trailer. We still have a pretty minimal amount of information on this game. So unless they take the Bethesda approach and show off the game a few months before release (and I highly doubt they will because that's not EA's style), then I'm not expecting a 2016 release. I'm expecting late Q1 or Q2 of 2017.

One of the things that changed with Bioware games in the EA Era, is how missions are handled. Back before ME2, the missions you went on weren't just levels, they were entire arcs that took place in giant areas. Nowadays when you go on a main story mission, it just takes you immediately to the area, you go through some corridors, kill some bad guys, and after about 30 minutes to an hour you're done with the mission and taken back to your main hub.
I miss how missions used to take place in huge hubs, where you'd meet all kinds of new people, delve into politics, explore the town/encampment, shop at stores, and then eventually get to a section of the hub where you enter the bad guy's hideout. Because this approach didn't just make the missions feel like, a mission. It felt like an entire story, within a story. Each of these missions had their own feel and theme to them, and really felt like you were getting to explore and learn more about the universe the game took place in.
I have so many great memories of Noveria, Tatooine, Manaan, The Brecilian Forest, etc. I'm not saying none of modern Bioware missions are great, but with the exception of just a couple, they haven't left an impact on me like they used to. I feel like the old approach to missions worked best for these type of games.

Considering that the N7 video said something like "more info on 2016", an educated guess would be: nope.
Oh it did? My bad.
Bioware backtracked. They are now promising more info in 2016.
I would not be surprised if the game ends up delayed until 2017. It is a bit odd that they haven't released any information, or even really started marketing, a AAA game that is supposedly a year or less from release.
Yeah I don't think anyone is expecting it to come out next year.

I haven't been on the BSN in a while but I thought Bioware said we'd get a lot more info on ME: Andromeda near the end of the year. It's almost Christmas, what gives?

If you're expecting good writing from Bioware at this point, you should've learned your lesson in 2012. It's very clear reading the OP, just how bad those responsible for ME3's ending wrote themselves into a corner.
They should've changed the ending when they had the chance.

Given that the Cycle has repeated itself thousands of times, it stands to reason that there may have been other races who had the same idea as we did, and left the Milky Way. I wouldn't be surprised if one of the big twists of this new game or any future Andromeda games, is if we meet a race of Aliens who also used to be natives of the Milky Way.

The Witcher 3 won GOTY.... CDPR fans are gonna be even more unbearable now.
Well I mean if you think about it, DA:I won GOTY last year, and Witcher 3 was superior in (almost) every single way. So it makes sense I guess.

Is anybody else getting the feeling that BioWare might not even be there tonight? Especially with that theater over halfway empty?
Well it's why I asked. BioFan is right, usually Bioware does drop hints, so I'm guessing it's a no. I was really expected today would be the day, but I guess not. So maybe it's gonna drop on a random date this month.

On paper it sounds awesome but it also sounds very Open Worldy, and not only am I starting to get burnt out on the genre, but given Bioware's last bout with being Open World, I'm exercising caution.

By that reasoning we could censor everything if there are people that coud potentionally get violent over it, By that you're saying that it's de facto the publishers fault that people get murdered beceause of their freedom of speech, and in thay way you're effectively agreeing with terrorists.
Well last time I checked, the gay community aren't suicide bombing and committing public beheadings on people who don't agree with their way of life. So until that day comes, then we'll discuss your counterpoint and what our society should do from there.
