Anyone else watch this? It was hard to find a 'safe for work' picture of the anime Freezing, but I started the second season on Netflix and want to share my thoughts on it so far. It has a lot of the same themes as Sekirei, (if you haven't seen you may not want to venture further, but I won't give away any major spoilers) of the lonely boy in the future who befriends voluptuous women with powers who are forced beyond their control to fight in combat. Of course they also fight themselves over him. (Hey, lucky guy, right?) Women are paired with men to increase their fighting powers and are encourage to bond with the men.

 

Anyway, the story is getting intense as we move further and the characters are really blooming and showing different colors as they develop. This is no light story, but the fan service keeps it from becoming heavy. The main antagonists are not developed. Then again, I'm not sure they can be. They just float around, but the threat they pose is real. The main protagonists; the guy doesn't change, there's really nothing interesting about him other than the relationship he has with the main character Satellizer. Satellizer is deeply interesting and Rana I think is a personality opposite to balance her out. I actually care about what happens to them. Rivalries, friendship, sacrifice, they are all present and I think are presented really well. My 'real anime watching' brother is even getting into it and watching with me. All and all, I think it's pretty good and want to continue to the end. Your thoughts?

The...manga is alright. It's entertaining but ah, very fanservicey. If you're looking for women fighting monsters, then Claymore is a far better read.

EDIT: Chiffon in Freezing though is scary as ****.

Eh, there's very few sports I pay attention to. Just mainly Tennis.

Welp, Laid off due to bankruptcy of my work, in a dead-end job that I hate as a result, and after two to three weeks of it, I've found myself in a bout of depression. While I may have higher education, it doesn't take a damn due to being stuck in sales and then having bankruptcies cut those experiences short. Applications don't take due to shrinking job market, and the next bout of graduates coming up will make odds more statistically difficult. I'm growing far more jaded on the world as leads sour and once former connections dry up and I'm being steered towards paths that increase my self-loathing not out of self destructive behaviour, but because they may allow me to survive for only moments more to hang on.

Hrm, that was a slightly long rant.

I vote for Triumvirate. While the previous model has worked out before, people still went to the leader above everyone else, creating twice the pressure and faster burnout. While Nuke has stayed with us for a long time, it appears the limit has already been reached on that and I doubt we'll have anyone that will stand in that position longer than him. We can look into the option of including further mods, but I'd rather have the three be worked out first, and then we can add/remove a few mods as we see fit for coverage reasons. I don't foresee us needing anymore than 5 official staff or so.
