There was a Mod that had his **** together, even if he could be a little generous with his bans.  He didn't just plump for just lock or delete everything.

On topic:

Part of a newly formed gaming couple, though we live in different countries (UK & Spain).  We met playing Warframe, she has now played a few ME3MP games though no SP (of any Mass Effect) so there's a steep learning curve ahead if she stays with it.  We have met in RL and the idea is to get together for a couple of days every few weeks.

In the vain hope that the mods see that our community do want this I'll repost mine

Totally unintended 

Perilous is filled with heavily promoted and well geared players that should be playing Nightmare.

Seriously, Perilous matches with my scrub account usually involve there being two players in the group who could solo with their level ones. I just grab gold and kill stragglers.

Nightmare is empty. Only players you find are top 50 leaderboarders soloing or new players hoping to catch a ride with one of the leaderboarders.

Go figure.

Playing more than a couple of Nm games gives me a severe case of cramp but I can play Peri for much much longer.

We rarely need to wait more than a couple of minutes before PUG joins on Perilous.  Which can be a problem when Aetika crashes on loading and gets her slot filled before rejoining.

I never retired, I just don't play much, well hardly ever 

but the new GF just got it so I might be around a bit more once she gets around to playing MP

I'm surprised no-one mentioned a brief immunity from damage when standing up from a revive or drinking a health potion.

Nothing more fun than being revived and dying before you even finish standing up.

Bronze Ghost Cerberus using the Human Soldier as that was my Shepard since ME1.  Biotics and other stuff hadn't interested me.

I went from I'll just play enough MP to get my GR upto 100%, to this is fun I'll play more.

Also there was a AA hurling Biotic death that was useful rather than the SP waste of time.  Suddenly it was I want one of those.  Naturally RNG gave it to among the last of the orginial Gold kits.

I am not sure what bard you might be referring to I thought they gave one of each class.

Thought the 3rd was a Legionnaire. (aka Tank or Beast). and livid,walking fortress and bulwark are a must asap.

Let me see a couple of games on N7 day, couple back in August/July then going back to April.

I'm not adverse to playing just no one asks.  (that Plat game doesn't count  )

I actually saved one for later waves and I practiced my inner zenber to avoid gelling that last one and instead wait for you to revive me, and it did work.

But Patrick, it's not only speculation and theoretical argument - several posters in this thread have PvP experience, a lot of it in some cases.

 

Is PvP a good idea, and can it lead to fun games? Yes, obviously. Look at the success of the examples I quoted.

 

Can Bioware make a good PvP game based on the ME universe? Highly unlikely, based on how they did ME3MP.

PvP can be fun for some and more so with friends (as long as you don't take it seriously) but it really needs to be centred around PvP not trying to crowbar it into a PvE game.

Given the howls from the SP vs MP crowd that even PvE exists in a Mass Effect game.  If that was changed to PvP instead. I can hear the psychotic screaming from an alternative Universe already.

I think that trying to balance the SP skill/powers to co-op was hard enough Bioware attempting to do so for PvP it wouldn't even be Mass Effect any more.

First I don't like PvP in a PvE game but some do so.................

However Warframe started as PvE and that is still the main focus but enough people wanted it so the devs added it

Completely unbalanced, so they tried some adjustments and added a separate game zone for it.  Massive amounts of cheating and complaints of multiple OHKs.

That got suspended and then they started from basics slowly drip feeding frames and weapons into it over months.  From all accounts things are much better but it's basically a separate game with powers and weapons being very different from the main game.

Budget wise I doubt that it would be worthwhile to try to implement it.
