This won't help most people, but am posting in case it helps a few:
I have a the pc version and 7.1 surround system. When I first played the game, the audio was all out-of-whack and music/ambient audio were barely audible. I went into my soundcard's audio settings and enabled a stereo->surround mode, where programs/games think you have a stereo system and only use 2 channels but then the audio driver distributes that sound to all speakers. Sounds great for me now. The game's audio seems to work better for 2-speaker/headphones than it does for surround.
Won't help anyone with banter issues or music that is sometimes there but might possibly help someone who hears no music at all.

DA:I has some strikingly beautiful female characters. And some ugly ones. And a whole-lotta inbetween. That's the way it should be. A world filled entirely full of supermodels is just immersion-breaking.

Please also note that banter does not recycle, so you will only hear a set of lines once. The rate at which it occurs is also random, which is why sometimes you will encounter it more frequently, and sometimes less so.
I've had Varric ask Solas about the nobles' reactions at the ball over a dozen times in the same area, without any other banter occurring inbetween. I don't have a silence problem, but there is definitely repetition going on.

I thought it was just a different hold position logic.
Where in the past hold position would hold the whole party, it seemed like it just holds 1 party member now.
This was annoying for that one puzzle where you need to control party members on levers and pressure plates, but after a few tests i managed to just cycle F1-> Hold F2-> Hold, etc. Doing this for each member held them during the puzzle i needed control for.
When you press the "Hold Position" button, the text "Hold Position" appears next to each party member as their current command.
After many, many attempts, I too was able to get the party to sit still during that same puzzle, using the same method, but was unable to duplicate the "success" during combat scenarios.

Also, you should be able to give the command to individual party members - it shouldn't be an all-or-none command. You might want a single party member to sit out a battle, or a nearly-dead party member to take cover while the others still fight.
Granted, making it work at all is much more important. But, something to consider.

I noticed this too. I wasn't doing it during battle though, I thought that was the problem.
It happens whether you're in battle or not. But, this is terrible behavior even when you're NOT in battle. They have this one puzzle area, where you need to have different party members activate different levers and torches in order to unlock this one room. You position one, tell everyone to hold position, change characters and then they all run back together again. Very annoying.
If you tell your party to hold position, they should freaking do it until you tell them otherwise, load into new zone, or trigger a cutscene.

Using PC version.
"Hold Position" command is flat-out broken. You tell your party to hold, you move away from them, and boom they're right back with you. Absolutely infuriating with dragon battles when I'm trying to place people in strategic positions and use range attacks from cover. I tell them to hold position, they ignore me, run out to the dragon and get promptly decimated.
I don't know when your first patch is coming, but this is a big one. The most frustrating one I've seen in this game beyond having my character's voice change permanently when I select a custom appearance for Hawke.

Sure thing. I seem to remember you mentioning that your internet connection was crazy slow. Do you know whether or not MP would work alright?

I sent an Origin friend request to "Deager." Let me know if (for some reason) your Origin handle is different from your forum handle.

It's actually pretty fun/addictive - much more so than I expected, as I don't normally play MP games. Let me know if you want to give it a shot.

Recently finished off another trilogy playthrough, and I've been playing some ME3 multiplayer. Any of you guys still play? Would be kind of nice to have some decent folk to play with regularly. My RL friends only have XBox version - I'm the only PC guy. ![]()

Just wanted to point out these amazing Shepard + Liara images, in case MEHEM ever gets to the point of adding content specific to individual LI's.
Only for default Broshep, obviously:

Yeah, shore leave while Earth is under attack is kind of silly. But, then again, not really all that more so than the regular trips to the Citadel pre-DLC. In my head-canon, I try to think of the Citadel DLC plot as mandatory down-time due to needed ship repairs, not just "Hey, how about a vacation!"

Appearing on the Strip would be ideal. Even if you figured out how to start the party directly, I wouldn't, because people need to be able to update their invitations/guest list and specify whether they want a relaxed or energetic party.
I'll try to test it on Sunday. I'll drop the difficulty and do a speed run through Cerberus HQ and Earth.
Also, I'm surprised there aren't more people taking the Lite version (10%). Maybe they just download the default option?
I like to do the Clone mission soon as it becomes available and then check back at the apartment each time I complete a mission. The game is so dark, I like to have a few moments of levity to break things up. Also, playing the clone mission after the massive interspecies space battle and destruction of the reapers seems a bit anticlimactic. So, after the ending, I just prefer to have the party - a nice little epilogue to show life goes on and that the fight was worth it.
Also#2, is it possible to have a new e-mail show up after you drop them on the Strip? I think it would be cool to have something from Hackett/Alliance Command addressed to Admiral Shepard. I think he's past due for a promotion. ![]()

Deager, I use the Lite MEHEM version, but I can't test it tonight. I would have to redo the attack on Cerberus HQ onward in order to get to the ending/credits. What specifically are you trying to test? That it goes from the credits straight to the party? Or what?

Hey Deager, I just completed a trilogy playthrough using your latest (Lite) version, and I must say, you've come a long way! The experience was nearly transparent, and I enjoyed your reworked ending song. And they way you guys have figured out how to make the mods as DLC is amazing. Kudos all around!

Here is the source for the MEHEM v04 installer. It's considerably more complex than the v03 code I released earlier, mostly due to the addition of a modern GUI.

So, hey, sorry I've been away so long guys. It looks like you've been busy. ![]()
So, how has this thing turned out? Are my installers no longer needed?
I can provide source code if you still want it for some reason.
For what it's worth, starting from scratch was probably better, as my installer(s) are not well-suited as a universal installer. This is because they become exponentially more tedious the more options there are for modifying the same DLC file.
Right now there are only 2 options for the MEHEM one: you can do Vanilla -> MEHEM OST, or you can do Vanilla -> MEHEM Julia. If you added a third option, you would need MEHEM OST, Vanilla -> MEHEM Julia, MEHEM OST + Option 3, Vanilla -> MEHEM Julia + Option 3... and so on. And each of these patches would be either be large, time consuming, or both. I seem to recall someone mentioning that the newer ME3explorer unpacks the DLC into loose files (and allow the game to run that way). If that's true, it would simplify things as you could just overwrite individual small files as needed, instead of creating patches for them.
Regardless, let me know if you need anything from me. And Deager/MrFob I'm still willing to make updates to your existing installers if you want.
EDIT: Just looked in one of the other threads. Are all of you guys making your mods function as DLC now (no modification of original game files)?! That would be awesome. And, it would pretty much negate the need for installers altogether (don't need an installer if manual installation is just "extract zip into your DLC folder).

I don't know anything about the tlk - I just thought the second paragraph becoming the first would be a little abrupt, narratively speaking.

Regarding the second one: It works. But, I would suggest completely ditching the first paragraph (it was lame to begin with, no reason to keep it), and then replace any "you" with 3rd person ("Commander Shepard", etc). The game never talks to "you", but to Shepard.
Also, if you do ditch that first paragraph, you probably need something there... maybe a nice quote from Anderson that basically sums up the conflict.

My second topic, and my second off-topic thread... a pattern emerges.
Anyway, I just purchased an adventure game bundle on Steam which included a couple of games I already own. Since they're not doing me any good, I'll gift them to anyone who wants them.
They're both point-and-click adventure games that piqued my interest, but I haven't played them yet, so I don't actually know if they're any good.
They are:
Deponia

and
A New Beginning
http://store.steampo...com/app/105000/
First to say yes get them, no strings attached.

Nope, not a backer. I am intending to buy the game when it's out though. it looks amazing and I am really looking forward to it (just not big on the whole kickstarter thing).
Cool. Hopefully I'll see you (+IHJ & Deager) around then. Release is still a good ways off. Maybe even by then Canada will have some decent Internet! ![]()

Oh yeah, cfs3corsair, forgot to mention that SC is actually 2 games - a huge space MMO, and a single-player story-driven experience called Squadron 42, like Mass Effect (or more accurately, the spiritual successor to Wing Commander). You don't need a good Internet connection for the latter, so at least there's that!

cfs3corsair - I'm with you on the Oculus Rift thing. I actually just switched to contact lenses after 15+years of glasses just because I wanted to really experience the OR, and it wasn't very friendly with glasses. The Facebook buyout announcement occurred THREE DAYS after I switched! I was so mad! I'm not spending a dime on a piece of Facebook hardware that will undoutedly monitor my usage and force unsolicited ads directly into my virtual reality (and provide a new gateway for spammers). Moreover, after Facebook has time to make revisions, it will surely change from a high-tech gaming device to a casual social networking device. So disappointed!
Also, sorry to hear about your Internet woes. I hate my ISP (time warner cable), because they constantly (and unscrupuously) raise my monthly rate. But, they are FAST, so I guess I should be grateful... But, I'm not, and Google Fiber's coming to my neighborhood next month with their Gigabit Internet package... so... yeah... totally switching.
