My view of Prestacious.(The site, not the person.)

Content will likely attract higher skilled ME3MP players.

That will result in lower but steady traffic.

Even if I don't know them, I recognize pretty much all the handles I see posting already.

It's dark grey themed.

I may one day when I upgrade my potato, finally attempt plat solos before the servers burn down. And record them. I want people to see what I mean when I talk about "dancing with banshees". (Blooper reel will get all the likes.)

I'm heavily disappointed in the direction of this thread.It's going in the complete wrong direction as the original spirit intended.

There's a bit of irony in attempting to force a "clean slate" on people all the while trying to keep the very same slate the same. In effect, you're saying, "I get a clean slate because I made it but everything else stays the same." Why is it a clean slate? You are the same person, who did the same things. These things stick, and if you're trying to move the same forum you said these things in, including the previous history with your fellow posters, it seems a little precocious to expect a clean slate from the same foundation.

I don't buy it. So no, I think I'm going to pass on this one. I'm not a part of some CS hate party, I have very little invested in that whole end of the forum, but from a reasonably open minded view I'm still not convinced the moderation on that board will be something I can tolerate.

I'd almost rather prefer the mods were robots, as I can live within those constraints, but I suppose my biggest concern is that personal ups and downs will impact moderation.

Anyways, my 2c. There are people that I respect moving to these boards so I do wish you all the best. And as I stated before, at the least I'll be checking Prestactious' forums every once in a while if you need a little...

That doesn't seem to be the case here unfortunately. It's more like a desperation to get exactly what we have here somewhere else right away. Seems like the wrong reason for jumping into something you've got even the slightest reservations about.

I understand the desire to set up shop somewhere new and get (re)started again as soon as possible.

That being said I'd rather take time and make sure I land somewhere I want to land.

Just as an aside, I believe the real reason the mods are only nuking things criticizing their moderation while things like "WE'RE SUPPOSED TO JUST SIT HERE AND STFU" remain is due to them being an outsourced company.

They probably had a supervisor tell them criticizing their moderation looks bad for their company, so nuke those. Just a hunch, but plausible.

The early Like allocation was 50, I previously thought it was 20 but was corrected back in the Like Bank Group.

We don't actually have "Unlimited" likes, one of the devs in the "Concerning the Forums" topic mentioned that he raised the amount to 1000. Given those likes probably reset in the same manner as the old ones it's going to be veeeeeery hard to use them all up though.

Well black holes bend spacetime.  That's space and time.  So, well that's why it's science fiction.  Nobody knows for certain what happens inside of one, so anything is fictionally possible.

I'm viewing it more as a writing mechanic than a science fiction proposition. Time travel in Star Trek isn't anything new, but using it to create a whole new metaverse to throw all the history off your back felt like a slap to everything that had come before.

They had endless options within those constraints, yet they still had to tell the same story over instead of creating their own within what already happened, or was about to happen.

From a writing perspective it just felt like a quick hack job backed by large numbers decision. Profiteering at the expense of lore.

I actually do enjoy the newer ones to some extent, but not in the way I did the old ones.

Not defending anyone here but don't always believe everything you hear or even see. Cause if you were to tbh, then I'm the worst of the worst psycho's in the world. I have an entire hate club dedicated to me, who's running around forging screenshots of posts and the likes which I never made, just to make me look bad. You've known me for a while now, do you think I seem like a murdering stalking psychopath to you? That's the word out there if you are to believe Topshelf and VroomVroom people.

I try to keep an open mind but what little I've seen of her hasn't endeared me to her much. (Ie, I could believe about 1/3rd of the stories I've heard. I suspect the rest is fiction.) 

Some people get by on attention and playing the underdog, they thrive on it. I get that sense from her. Not from hearsay, but my own opinion from reading her posts over the years. I did however miss most of the worst of it. (From what I've heard.)
