#20336779 Bioware, please don't let The Witcher 3 influence Mass Effect Andromeda.

I'm sorry but The Witcher 3 was the best game I've ever played and I'm a HUGE BioWare fan and been playing BioWare games since Neverwinter Nights/Baldar's Gate.  BioWare's character relationships are in serious need of help.  They are not deep enough just flirt, flirt, bang and that is it.  Same with Star Wars: The Old Republic standalone and MMO.  Once you get to the end of the relationship/marriage whatever its done.  Those relationships are no longer developed and most likely forgotten about.  Case in point, romancing Lana Beniko with my sith warrior.  Not a flirt whatsoever after you enter a relationship.  It means absolutely nothing apparently.

The Witcher 3 provided a better character relationship between Geralt and his love Yennifer, or Triss and his adopted daughter Ciri!. I was completely satisfied with their relationship and they were NOT afraid to show nudity.  Sure you can screw whoever you wanted but my Geralt didn't only Yennifer.  I also enjoyed Witcher 2 and the gwent game alot! What did BioWare provide that was fun? I do like how they handled some of the relationships in Dragon Age 1-3. Morrigan, Isabella and Solas were my favorite romances.  I mostly play males and I'm female. Go figure. :)

#19713971 Trespasser: Chest in elven ruins

In one of the towers of the elven ruins accessed by eluvians there is a chest on the other side of a broken and burning bridge, and beyond it is an active eluvian. How do I get across, or where is the eluvian to get there?

I would like to know this as well for I haven't found a way to get to it either.

#19370937 "I'll always want you in my life." Miranda Lawson in Mass Effect 3

Just to add to that...

In the English language version she's also voiced by Belinda Cornish, who voiced Rana Thanoptis in Mass Effect. She's also married to Mark Meer.

Actually, that is incorrect.  Denise Gough is the voice actor behind Yennefer.  There is a you tube video of her performance as proof.  This was discussed on the CD Projekt Yennefer topic on their offical forum.  A common misconception it seems. http://forums.cdproj...poilers)/page63

#19363253 "I'll always want you in my life." Miranda Lawson in Mass Effect 3

I have TW3, but I haven't played it in a while (too much Smite, Dirty Bomb, and Heroes of the Storm for TW3). I just finished the story segment and most if not all the side quests in Velen, and I met Triss in Novigrad. It's a pretty good game, I agree. I downloaded the alternate appearance for Yennefer, but I don't know how to get it working. The game says to check the tutorials, but there's nothing in the tutorials that mentions the DLC or any character's appearances.

If you have an account with GOG galaxy, under configure, you can enable and disable the add-ons. The alternate appearance is nice looking... mostly the stockings make her look rather sexy. I like her other outfit as well.

#19362482 "I'll always want you in my life." Miranda Lawson in Mass Effect 3

Hey, hope y'all are well.

In the interest of discussion, anyone else been playing The Witcher 3? I'm loving it, but my main point is that it's Yennefer's first full appearance and she is very Miranda-like. Yeah, I know she existed in the books long before Miranda, but she's a slightly different character to then.

First up, a picture:

Yenn-02-1433296475174.jpg

She's powerful, smart and has a temper (she threw me through a portal that dropped me in a lake...)

She's also incredibly determined, and not afraid to upset people or compromise her morals if it serves a greater purpose. Not many people like her, not even ones who know her well, and many find her frosty.

She also has a surrogate daughter (an aforementioned greater purpose).

She is infertile (but then, all sorceresses are, she's just keen to reverse it).

Anyway, it's a fantastic game and she is a great character. Very well-written.

Yes, I've played Witcher 3 and beat it recently but reloaded a save recently to fix a few errors to get rid of a certain king. :-P  I wasn't sure who I was going to romance Triss or Yen.  The moment I met Yen... it was obvious!  She's a fascinating character and loved every minute of them together.  Yennefer never teleported my Geralt in the lake which is interesting. Not sure what I did differently. :)

#19347333 Can Bioware show kissing and caressing during "sex" scenes?

OP you mean like this? (one of the better romance scenes I've seen in games imo)

snip the videos

Yep! Those were two great scenes. I enjoyed Yen's romance with Geralt a lot.  She mellowed out the longer you with her.  You don't always have to be so confrontational with her.  Geralt mentions she could be nicer.  They have great chemistry between the two.   Go TeamYENN!

Triss also had a great love scene in Witcher 2. I'll give them that.

Also, liked Miranda's romance scene MisterJ posted.  Another favorite. ;)

I just think BioWare animators need a little more practice (or time?) with those types of scenes. :o

#19339000 (Fun) Your theory/idea about how we got to Andromeda.

You mean the missing colony in Alpha Centauri?  Had completely forgotten about that thing. And there is also that ship that had the consciousness of an old alien race.

Yep! That's the one that came to my mind. ;)

#19338974 (Fun) Your theory/idea about how we got to Andromeda.

Here's a thought... maybe we're playing the colonists that left long ago in one of those old "space ship."   Remember the Cerberus logs they had for the entire year back in the day? (After ME2 ended)  Those colonists were recently discovered and were being relocated back to Earth to be slaughtered in the Reaper war? That's my theory on Andromeda.  Not everyone wanted to go back to the Milkway... all of there parents or relatives were long dead.  Time travel.  :o

#19100476 Dragonslayer bugs mega thread

Posté par enayasoul sur 08 mai 2015 - 04:04 dans Multiplayer

There seems to be a lot of rubber-banding within the Ferelden Castle (routine).  It's really difficult to move forward.  It feels like we are running through tar to get to each destination.  It's also very difficult to revive someone that's fallen as well.  I hope this get's fixed.  Currently playing on the PC.

#19089058 Lag, Disconnects, and Host Migration

I couldn't even play last night, on my PS4.  I kept getting an ERROR message every time I tried to get a quick match going.  It only worked if I created a group by myself. That's certainly no FUN!

#19088948 Dragonslayer bugs mega thread

Posté par enayasoul sur 06 mai 2015 - 03:21 dans Multiplayer

I tried several times last night to play a quick match with my PS4 and all I got was an ERROR message repeatedly!!!!!  How frustrating!  I was able to create a match but only with myself.  Well, that's not going to help when I fail. Does no one play on the PS4???

I haven't tried my pc version yet but this sucks.

#18910205 Bringing back a "voiced" Hero of Ferelden NPC: Yes, or No?

If they do bring the warden back, have us choose which voice like they did in DA:Inquisition.  I really love the "accents" voice.  I guess it's "England?" accent or something similar.  There was only like three races to choose from back then.  Modify accordingly...  I say.  Get feedback from the community.  It's shame they said they won't. :(

I do have to say, I was pleased with what I did receive about my Warden through Lelianna and especially Morrigan and learning about what happen after my Warden walked through the Eluvan(sp) with Morrigan.   And learning about my warden's time with his son.

I am curious if the Warden will succeed in finding a cure for the calling.  And what that's all about.  I also want to know what up with/happened at Weisshaupt?   Sounds like a fascinating tale to be told.

I thought including Hawke was a nice touch.  I wasn't about to let him die to a freaking spider though.  Enjoyed watching myHawke run around with me for time.  Even though it sucked he didn't have his long goatee like in DA:2 but he needed a shave anyhow! :P  Loved hearing his voice again though.

;)

#18289309 Who do you consider to be your "canon" romance from each game?

DA:O Morrigan with my human male/Warden/Rogue (and OGB)

DA:2: Isabela with my human male/Mage Hawke

DA:I:  Elven female Mage and Solas (drank the you-know-what)

DA:I:  Human male Rogue/Archer with Cassandra  (haven't finished yet, second play through)

#17933325 Stroud or Hawke? (spoilers)

I left Stroud because he wanted to. Great and Honorable Stroud.  Hawke also said he had a score to settle with Corpy!  I wasn't about to let my Hawke be stuck there!  Are you kidding me?!  I loved my Hawke in DA:2.  Hawke has been through enough and it wouldn't be right to leave Varric's best friend there.  Besides Isabela would be pissed!  And Hawke doesn't want to lose her.  ;)

#17913183 Does it bother anyone? ME3 in DA:I

Blowing the trumpets in the Exalted Plains sounds like the Reaper noises when scanning for debris or planetary items a bit too much to alert them. :o

Another musical instance reminded me of the collector base mission... beat going pretty strong and fast. (Favorite song btw)

And "I should go."  :P

Bothered by it? Not too much.

#17905309 So...why the heck did Morrigan want the child in the first place?

I'm guessing she wanted the old god's essence... it was the god of beauty?  The other reason could be she didn't want the warden to die but I'm thinking it was first one though.  Personal interest in the old god.

#17888847 Anyone thinking that they will reach the 100+ hour mark?

108 hrs into the game. Not nearly done at all.  Love the crafting. That's taken up a several hours I'm sure.  :P  Very pleased with the depth of this game. So much to do!  Loving every minute of it!

Is the architect mentioned if you let him live? He's dead in mine.

#17869983 Is there a patch incoming today?

I hope so. They should also fix the horrible cutscene freezing.

So far I've had this happen to my chat with Dorian and another NPC character *spoiler* in Western Approach.  The conversation has some kind of long delay in between the character responses. :(  On the PS4 if that helps.

#17840663 Dragon Age Inquisition is the Best Game Ever to Me

Thank you BioWare for a great DA:I game! I'm loving the exploration/lore/characters/crafting... yes, I said crafting.  I love how large each area is and how much more I have yet to explore. The environments and locations are wonderfully done.  Very beautiful!  I love watching the waves crash on the beach in the Storm Coast.  I love the music, the ambiance... I think I heard a bee buzzing!    40hrs in and still sooo much to do still.  Still need to get my Skyhold! :o Maybe tonight.

#17827008 Tweaking your appearance after the game starts..

Well, I goofed up on my elven girl mage on the PS4.  I was too excited to play the game that I didn't realize I had to hit the square button to customize.  So my elven girl has one of the custom looks.  The brown hair one. At least she has an accent but all I can think of is this character looks like a little girl with Traynor's voice from Mass Effect 3.  I found a hat for her to wear but she could use a make over.  To far into the game to restart now. I did create a male rogue/hunter which I'll play next. My elven girl is trial run. :P

#17809085 Customizing Hawke causes my Inquisitor to switch voice actors.

My brother has run into the issue of everyone referring to his character as a girl but in reality he is playing a male inquisitor.  He thought it might have been a bug in the import from the keep but I don't know... he ended up creating a new male character in inquisition.

#17809043 Bella (Tavern girl from Redcliffe)?

Anyone know if Bella makes an appearance in the game? If so Does Bella only appear you she ownership of the Tavern or started a Brewery?

Trying to find out before I pick a choice in Keep website.

I'm not sure if it's the same girl or not but there is a woman in Haven that is the owner of the tavern... said Liliana invited her. (so probably not?)   I haven't made my way to Redcliff yet to see but I know I have it set to her starting her own Brewery.  I'll check my save in DA:I...

#17806606 The Inquisitor's Edition is coming to GameStop

Like many others here, I too had a similar issue.  The items in my case where in fact scattered like a tornado hit it.  The only item that was broken was the gryphon/eagle?  The outer edge pieces of the box, 2 in fact, have fallen off.  Not sure what happened to the apparently nailed? or simulated image on piece near the latch is totally gone:wacko:

I really love the cloth map! Tarot cards are nice as is the leather journal and game case.  The craftsmanship could've been a LOT better for being valued at $100. (Or at least packaging it better).  I don't think I'll be buying any other collectors editions in the future that involves cheaply made items that break easily.   :(

I'll keep it but a little disappointed.  Anyways, loving the PS4 version of the game though!!!! ^_^

#17806346 List of complaints\bugs and solutions

Received my Inquisitor's collection late Tuesday only to find that all the items in the box were all over the place like a tornado went through it. Not to mention the gryphon? was broken and a couple of the plastic pieces on the side of the case fell off!  The only things I did like were the cloth map and tarot cards. :(

I already installed the game that came with the package but feel a little disappointed with the broken pieces

No real complaints playing on the PS4 platform. Runs very smooth and breathtaking scenery.  Impressed.  Have yet to try the PC version.
