The group should be hidden and invite only now. I also gave everyone moderator status. We're still over here, if you want to join.

Which lends itself back to my idea of community managing responsibilities being split between different people for different locations so each location has someone representing it and doing what they can for it.

Ideally, the people moderating are from those communities, as they would have a vested interest in maintaining them, are more approachable and understand the inner workings better than anyone else.

From the way you talked about the advantages of Reddit, your dissatisfaction with the criticism of your works and the overall withdraw of the dev presence on the forums, I assumed you didn't want to be here. If I'm wrong then you have my apologies, but that is the impression I get.

And what I am saying is that the repeated actions by others may have caused the reprisal seen this week.

Except it is ultimately Bioware's responsibility to manage the site properly. If there are issues with features, Bioware has to fix them. If there are problem posters, Bioware has to deal with them. If there is ill sentiment from the community, Bioware is obligated to address the issue and rectify the situation as best they can. Calling the place toxic and running away from the problem is cowardly and solves nothing.

Bioware doesn't want to be here.

Except I've also left for that "other locale". Bioware doesn't often acknowledge when they've made an error, and I doubt this will be one of those times.

I left the ME and DA sections because of the devs behavior during the DA2 and ME3 controversies. Off-Topic was an oasis amidst a sea of rabid fanatics, sycophants and tyrants. I stayed there for the people.

They do tend to double down on their decisions instead of admitting fault.

They moved the character threads into the combat, strategy and gameplay section. Last time I checked, characters and combat, strategy and gameplay are two different things.

IIRC they divided those forums in the first place because it was a hassle to find gameplay info buried under the character threads. I don't know why they would undo that.

I signed up. Haven't looked much into it, but I hope I can change the bloody font.

Do you have any suggestions for a "please don't delete me" thread? I have little experience with groups and that was on the old site.

Considering recent events, the Dragon's Dogma thread can no longer be used. If there is enough interest in keeping our little family together and Bioware isn't callous enough to close groups unrelated to their games then there should be little difficulty in transferring here. If not, then I wanted to let all of you know that I treasured these past few years together.
