As for Diri - I guess i found the perfect balance now - between nearly default and a texture.

The Sera Texture Mod from Nexus looks imo awesome on her - and for sure without this ridicolous lipshine on 8

SO - I tweaked Diri a little here and there - and I used another skin texture along with a bit make up.. Maybe I try even another texture on her - not sure. I am still not to 100 % happy this time

I think it depends on how picky you are though as some can be pickier than others I suppose. I can usually get my characters looking more or less the way I want within 20 minutes or so. I don't tend to spend hours in the CC like some have reportedly done. I do occasionally go back to the BE but that's more to change hairstyles every now and then not really for too much heavy duty stuff.  Because I never changed Topal at all in the game the only time I changed her was going into Trespasser. She pretty much kept the same look all the way through the game.

yep - this is the same for me. I barely use the BE- because you have to swap out the modded patch to get things changed in most of times. But Trish never got through BE - nor the others ( like Sayice or Ivandra ) Only Trespasser made it rather difficult but found always a way around.

For me the problem is that  - if a little thing is ticking me off at the new made Character he/she never gets to Skyhold And some others I feel immediate attached, have a story in my head - they deserve the playthrough 

@D3uZ  She has already something similar to Avril for sure, but your pic looks a bit squeezed - so it is hard to say.

Looks like you used jowls - I would take that to the left down corner, so the face is a bit rounder. Also not sure if the lips should be a tad thinner - because of the squeezed pic But she is already beautiful !

I tried one re shade mod once and was like        - it was far to dark and I really didn't like it. I think I let this for you profi's to do and fiddle with, will just enjoy the nice shots it provides.

This first Halamshiral shot ! - wonderful. The lightning is perfect and the atmosphere did draw me in immediate.

Since some time I used a special schematic to create faces. Got the feeling ( especially with elfes ) I am in a dead end right now.

SO I tried to make my brain free from all - did all sliders turn to zero and started with the picture from a young - round faced elf in my mind.

Not sure if I do have a success - but at least she seems unique to me. I did the Vallaslin make in a color matching to her skin - since I didn't wanted one on her this time.

Since I can't let my fingers from the CC - Here is Muir Trevelyan. Adopted as a baby from a Chasind tribe since Lady Trevelyan wanted dearly a girl but was too sick you get pregnant of her own. 

( Though I am not entirely happy yet with her )

@sjsharp Rogue is one of my favorite plays in any game. It was in Origin /DA 2 the same, and second mage. Never had a knack for the heavy warrior ones.

But it is worth - the skills are as amazing as the magical ones - I love *thousand Cuts*  from the Tempest specialization or *hidden Blades* from the Assassin a lot.

Well - you did get it wrong. It wasn't your picture in particular - scroll back and this whole discussion is going on since some sides now. 

And since I am german and not a native english speaker I did use the wrong word. I said less skilled - and meant new players or people which have not much experience in making characters.

I love your character @Baboontje and she is beautiful.  Thanks for sharing it - on my side it was a little friendly reminder that the topic was going out of hand a bit - right ?

Well as much as I love to read this thread, it was made to *show off your creation* not *discuss all the techniques*

Don't get me wrong - this discussions are interesting and all - but its just not really the topic of it.

This is the reason I do not post anything atm.  I want post my creation because I am proud of it, not if it is storywise or technical perfect ... I post to show my fantasy, my head cannon story behind the creation. Maybe it is cause I made mine - let say - on a gut level- very instinctive. It was always this way. I did even win with this attitude a contest in Origins. I fear all this - you need to do this, you have to look at that shade or have in mind this story, scares people with less skill away. Normal human are less then perfect - so I think Characters can have flaws - instead of perfect lines.

So - I hope no one is mad at me for this words - and if someone is - I can't change that.

I did every romance so far. They are all well written - the one which caught me less was with Josephine - it is too much Disney Princess stuff for my taste - but still cute made.

About romances - I tried all and if Dorian would be available for woman --- well  I just love his character, his wit and sarcasm. Even his narcissistic behavior ( which I think is mostly to let no one get too close himself ) is adorable. 

But I also did favor always Zevran over Alistair or Leliana - so its probably personal taste.

And in DA II I  was always .. Woah Fenris my little wolfie

As I mentioned before she slowly grows into a leader role, means accepting that thing on her hand + her magical abilities.

The decision which side she wanted to talk was a hard one for her ...  neither Cassandra, nor Vivienne could help her.

But since her distrust in Men, especially Templar, goes far deeper -  the decision was finally made to go to Redcliff. Facing Alexius and wandering through a terrible future gave her a strong will never let this come to pass !!!

Blackwall, Dorian and Bull joined in - but she keeps Blackwall and Bull on a distance. The shared adventure with Dorian, and his ability to make her smile with wit and irony, let her trust him much more then the others. Maybe cause she felt a long time like a Pariah, too.

Cold, sort of a rogue Vivienne. She wasn't born into Lavellan Clan and some of her Clan mates dislike her since she was found as a baby - seems there runs other blood in her veins then pure Dalish.

She love intrigues, knows that words often sharper hit then a dagger and she loves to dress herself in lace and other expensive stuff.

The Keeper told her that a lot of gold coins was in the little basket and it was kept for her. So yes- she is really not a typical dalish ...

But I don't know if I keep her 

@Sylvianus thank you so much for your words. I don't know how I manage to see (after all this time and lots of playthroughs) every new Character in a different light and with different decisions.

As for your Rihanna - drop dead gorgeous !!! Hope to see more of your Characters soon
