Vom ~ That's not odd at all. Korlus has that brilliant blue that catches the eye. In the right position among other art, I could actually see it working really well. One of my favorites, which I have yet to frame, is the Collectors (at least my memory says that was the name. I'm too tired to check right now). It was dark and lent an air of mysteriousness.
Since we started talking about lithographs again, look what is in the bioware store now for presale... www.biowarestore.com/art/lithographs/kaidan-lithograph.html Ummm....too little, too late...for me. Not to mention they ruined his character for me by the third one and the litho looks not much like him. Maybe I'm judging it a bit harshly in a bitter manner and perspective lol....
@Dan ~ that is the story of 80% of my rotations! And then the story of all the places I have ever worked. It will never get better I fear. Still, a friend of mine works for some gaming company as a dev in California. He can never tell me what game he's working on, but he seems to love his job. Since it's a small company, you may be able to get some info on structuring an independent studio. I don't know if it was covered in your education, but it might be something you'd want to do someday. I had a boring basic rotation that my preceptor was kind of checked out on and thankfully, the assistant director took me under her wing and let me go to all the meetings, P&T, and taught me tons about hospital budgeting and funding, administrative work and so forth. I was always interested in those sorts of things but somehow, our professor who was supposed to teach us about it, one of our former deans, instead droned on and on about his personal career and we never learned any of it at all in class, so getting to learn under her was the best rotation that I had.
So, started up the Witch and the Hundred Knight. I like this game. I knew I would, but it feels good to play a game like this again.

@Dan ~ the PS4 I had to get used to but honestly...it's become my hulu platform lol... The apps for it are sparse, a handful really, sometimes I'm not entirely sure if it's uploading my trophies. My ESO trophies definitely seem...missing...I guess I should check that two hours of DAI gameplay lol. Though you can make and upload videos to youtube and facebook your gaming progress (who would ever want to do this? It would be like game spamming your friends!), take screenshots and so forth, I've only managed to effectively take screenshots and not during anything actiony. The settings/control panel setup is identical to the PS3 though one thing I do not like is that all your games you download seem to be stuck on the main action bar. At this point, downloading all those free psn plus games, I have a ton of junk on that bar. The controller feels right in my hands (I had to play Rorona on the PS3 to learn the controller) and I haven't had any adjustment issues with it. I really enjoyed my 360 a lot, though the games for it really just stopped releasing towards the end of its lifespan (whereas the PS3 kept bringing over Japanese games). I'd like to get an Xbox One maybe next year or in a few years and from your review it sounds a lot like my experience with the PS4, especially with the dashboard layout, so a few years might be the right time for sorting things out. The game playing in the background is similar to the PS4. I have gotten in the bad habit of not logging out of games now and I come back to find a thunderstorm knocked out the power. Sometimes, good things can really trip you up!
Honestly, your review has been much more positive than all the marines that I work with lol. I think they were expecting Halo 5 or Call of Duty All Over Again and a better Assassins Creed game than they got and they're pretty depressed about buying early and trading in their 360 system and games for a system without games. But then, the group I work with is rarely positive about anything.
@Vom - I was honestly surprised they made a store for Alice. Then again, the artwork from that game has certainly made it's rounds. Once, on one of the charters a year or two ago, I talked to a guy on the ride back in and we started talking about his tattoos. The only gaming tattoo he had was the Chesire Cat, the same design of the cat that's in the game and on my giclees. He wasn't much of a gamer, but he loved that particular image.
@Dman ~ The artist was the original artist of the image...he basically just put it on a glow in the dark background and made it even more intriguing and put it up for sale on his personal website. Rhys Cooper. I sometimes check out his site to see if anything new has popped up, but mostly, I just liked the Chesire Cat he did.
Of course, I'm still working as a pharmacist Dman. Not much else I can do with my degree, licenses and certifications. I'd go into being a drug rep if there were any opportunities in the area =P I'd love to cross over to the dark side!

Thanks Dan
I've honestly only found them at a few cons around here in the Artists Alley. Generally, most anime producers and artists allow these at cons considering it as advertising, though only in the Artists Alley. There's an awesome guy too that does wood burning art that I actually got to meet at the last con I went to. I finally found him on DeviantArt and I'm considering asking him to do a piece for me. He's amazing in his detail! I bought a small piece from him for a friend at one of the cons but I didn't have the cash on me at the con to bid on the bigger piece. http://obidesuka.deviantart.com Even if you aren't interested in buying from him, I highly recommend just browsing his gallery. I went back several years and found lots of stuff I wish I had managed to see in person. So many beautiful pieces. I think he asked over 300 dollars for the Attack on Titans large action scene wood burning he had at the con and he definitely had a bid for that much on it (https://www.dropbox....f=e&n=235803527 ). The one I got was a very small piece for ~$15.
I do have a PS4 now and a friend of mine gifted me a copy of DAI for my birthday. I've not been especially interested in it. Sadly I barely got through 2 hours. It just didn't interest me. ESO isn't so bad. I end up turning off the chat channels as listening to people talk all the time in towns just irritates me. That being said, sometimes it's absolutely hilarious. I had the great moment yesterday listening to some poor guy get chewed out by his wife (at least, I'm assuming she was his wife) because someone stole her credit card info....again..... She suspected his kid who kept saying it wasn't her, though the wife had just gotten the new card less than a week ago. He kept....stupidly....saying she must have been "mistaken", which would just dial up her volume and her vocabulary. Lol....five minutes of that I was shaking so hard with laughter and thinking perhaps he was going to be kicked out of the house when the poor guy realized everyone in town was listening to this ordeal and he ran out of town (he obviously hasn't figured out how to leave the chat channels yet lol). I haven't looked at any art stores for any art....I'm definitely not into ESO that much at this point.
So Dan, what is that Xbox One like? I obviously went with the PS4, really hoping for some Japanese RPGs to come my way. Is the Xbox One worth it? Did you get it with the Kinect? Send me a review
I had a lot of issues with my network connection on the PS4 at first, due to using two routers for the location of my internet, but switching to manual seems to have fixed that entirely. Switching to manual on my 360 did nothing to fix that issue on that =/
@Dman & Vom- I've still got all my lithos but they're all in a portfolio hanging out in the guest bedroom. >_> I'm not sure they'll ever make it out of that portfolio to be honest. I honestly believe that the excessive outpouring of lithos also killed their appeal for me. Whereas before I felt like I had something special, now it seems very cheap and mass produced. Still, it's nice to look at in my portfolio. Oh! I don't remember if you guys remember the Alice store, but I got the Chesire Cat from there...then I looked up the artist later and bought a second, cooler, one signed and numbered from his personal website. The one I got from his site is the one I framed and hung....and it's glow in the dark. I love it when I turn off the lights and see the Chesire Cat glowing next to the TV =) The one I got from the store is still in the tube it came in... ~sighs~ I wonder sometimes now if any of the other artists from the EA stores have done similar things and resold drawings/designs/etc with a slightly different theme and we just didn't know about it.

These are my latest two. Not game related, but still pretty awesome. I got both of these at cons but still working on hanging them. I need to get my house better insulated before I put anything upstairs lol.
I've switched over mostly to anime and statuettes. I'm just not interested in any of the games out now. Not enough time to play them. Been working on ESO but a 15GB update popped up today so I didn't get to play it on my day off. Not surprised there.

I did watch an episode of The Irregulars at Magic High (I think) but the unhealthy sister love for her brother really was a turn off and kind of annoying. Not for me!
Now onto my next anime conquest. My gaming urges are pretty much gone right now so I must be in full anime swing now. Ah well. Seems to come and go with me.
Let me know how Fate is by the way. I have one of the series but I'm holding off on buying another until I get good reviews.

So, giving an update to the Anime thread. Most of the anime that I got in that Christmas rightstuf sale I have now watched. Somehow, I've watched more anime than played games. ~sighs~
First off, I watched Dusk Maiden and was duly impressed, though somewhat annoyed by the fan servicing. I watched Log Horizon and fell in love all over again with it back in January. I can't wait for season two to migrate over here (I'm hoping they retain the original English voice actors - I honestly am not a purist. If the dub is good, then I'm not going to try reading subs. If it's great, then even better! There's really only a few anime, My-Hime and Twelve Kingdoms, where I've gone to the subs as a preference due to voice acting.). Then I made the mistake of immediately opening my Arcana Famiglia after watching Log Horizon and spent most of the anime judging it quite harshly against the awesome perfection of Log Horizon lol. I needed probably 3 weeks in between to critique it fairly. As far as Reverse Harems go though, Famiglia was about average with a bigger cast than usually seen in them. Then I put in Red Data Girl and loved the story. I'm sure I've seen it somewhere before, though I don't remember when or where. After that, I tried Texhnolyze and things still haven't really picked up after the second disk. That one's going on a backburner for a while for now.
Then this weekend, I watched Another. Now wow.... It is really hard to describe this one. It's a horror/paranormal/mystery type. Superb. This one is going to the Masterpiece pile with Log Horizon. I was on the edge of my seat, biting my fingernails and holding my breath throughout this one. If anyone is interested in this genre, I highly recommend taking the time to track down a copy to watch.
After finishing Another, I looked through the "Other Anime by Us" section most dvds and blurays have and spotted Hiiro no Kakera - The Tomayori Princess Saga and thought "hmmm, that looks interesting". Honestly, I spotted it as a reverse harem immediately, and there really aren't that many reverse harems out there to begin with. So, I get on my Hulu and starting watching episodes. Either, it's predictable with the type casting of the characters.....or I didn't wait long enough in between watching a Masterpiece like Another and watching something that might not be a Masterpiece. Not sure, but I think I'm going to let a friend watch the rest for me and then go based off of her opinion.
That being said, I've also been watching a bit of Kill la Kill too on Toonami's Adult Swim. Well, I was recording it until the cable box royally screwed up and deleted three episodes. v_v I haven't bothered trying to look it up on Hulu. It irks me that they have such a huge anime library only for 98% of it to be subs. Still, I have kept up with it enough to think that I know what's going on. It's interesting, but something that I think I'd wait to go on sale.
Looking at my anime collection from the old days, and the new additions from the past year or two, I think my taste in anime is beginning to change. I used to have a bunch of I guess you'd call them "hero based" type animes. You know, big villian threatens world, a hero with special abilities/magic rises to defeat big villian, rinse repeat (Trigun, Sailor Moon, etc). I used to really be into Space Operas too (I sort of still am but they are so few and far in between especially considering quality), but I haven't had a new one in years or even rewatched my old ones. Now it seems I'm more interested in horror/paranormal and in character/relationship focused anime (Wolf Children, Another, etc). I wonder if this is a transient preference or if it is going to be a more permanent focus of my future anime collection.
Anyways, what have you all been watching lately?
Oh, and anyone watched the new dubbed Sailor Moon? The voices aren't bad, but it is killing me to listen to Luna! I know if I watch long enough, my brain will stop superimposing Rita Mordio from Tales of Vesperia over Luna when she talks, but for right now it's really strong. Doesn't help that Rita was my favorite character from that game.

I went to Wizard World Comic Con this past weekend. Had so much fun! I met Shatner (couldn't find my voice), then got to meet David Tennant (he impuned our bacon! The horror! ) and bought lots of artwork. I wish that I had taken the time to drop by Kevin Sorbo's booth before he left. That would have been a real treat.
Other than that, I've been watching anime lately and going on a nostalgia trip. Still replaying Kingdom Hearts.
Hey Dan, Jason Hayes (does music for Blizzard and WoW) did a concert at Comic Con. Very interesting guy to talk to.

The game is well worth playing, even if you aren't in love with the TV series. It's based off of choice and only intersects briefly with the TV series characters. It has a great story of its own.

Well, I am looking at getting a PS4 soon and a friend of mine is insisting I play Inquisition on it. It would appear that it was only really made for the next gen consoles and every other version was a pathetic attempt at a port. So, just saying that you all might hear some of my input on this eventually.

So, here comes the dead thread resurrection! And to think this used to be a pretty well focused on topic for most of us! ![]()
So, this past week I saw an article saying that Atelier Shallie (the last in the line of the Dusk Alchemist series! I love this series!) was actually going to get a limited edition boxset! Thankfully, I noted in the article that it would only be sold in NIS's online store (store.nisamerica.com) so off I went. After preordering, I figured I'd look through their merchandise and saw what I expected.... t-shirts, some key chains, wall scrolls....then I saw the giclees! Oh so pretty, guaranteed to last 100 years, generally limited to run sizes of 100, individually numbered by hand, and $300.... I suppose I shall just stare at them from afar for now. ~sighs~
Anyone else finding art is new places?

Vom, that kind of spoils the fun of discovery on Christmas Day! ~shakes head~ That's about like me telling my husband to go pick up the grill he wanted and then telling him it's for a friend lol.... I have no clue what I'm getting this year though. If I'm lucky my mom will make me a batch of fruitcake cookies just for me (I've never been that lucky before!) and honestly, that's all I really want for Christmas this year ![]()

I attempted to not give in as well for similar reasons. Still, didn't make it. I would have given in earlier had I seen the mega deal on that Fate Kalied earlier. Now I've ended up with Dusk Maiden (waited forever for it to go on sale), Log Horizon, Another, La Storia Della Arcana Famiglia, and Psychic Detective Yakumo. A strong theme I'm seeing in this order lol... I absolutely must ignore the rest of the days lest my resistance fall short again!
