You remind me of the people who try to convince me Bioshock: Infinite isnt a piece of **** and that I just dont comprehend it. DA3 could have literally been 25% as good as it was and been better than DA2.

I remember people around me raging about ME3 when I was so angry about Infinite, even more pissed because it was well received. I never felt so much betrayed in my like. inb4 SS. Yes, yes, Bioshock wasn't near the same but c'mon. Shallow piece of crap, that was what Infinite was.

Yeah, but DA2 sold a lot less copies and was the inferior title

Yeah, but it was made in less more or less than an year, so they cashed in DAO's success. The problem is that for what they made in DA2, they had to spend to win back the fans for DAI. I liked DAII, but what they've done was stab the fans then ask them to come back again.

For real, it seems bad when they talk so candidly but doesn't seem too much different from other major tech companies around (at least here in Brazil the scenario is pretty much in the same tone of these reviews).

Anyway, nothing is perfect, nothing is perfect for everyone but when people start to leave en masse then it's a problem. BioWare needs reform.

As someone who is also on the EA-hate train I also have to ask, does anyone think Bioware would still be open without EA? Was the company sustainable without them?

DAO was in development hell and bleeding money, so much that Gaider claims that DA2 was more profitable [despite not selling as much]. So they probably wouldn't survive for long without EA.

I've got one! And this one is a current employee as well.

That's not very useful advice. It's clear they must adapt, move on actually. This is too sad, and you can see most of them are fond of BW...

If any employer is reading this, it'll be corny so don't judge me much but...

I love you BioWare, you're the only company that has yet to fail me even when your games are flawed as hell. Thank you for all your hard work. I'm sorry the cancerous EA has done this to you.

Now I feel like I've been supporting a corporate tech sweat factory with my cross platform redundant purchases of their last six titles. ; (

You never read "wife of an ea worker" ? BioWare probably had it nice & easy in the first years at least.

Why contain it? Let it spill out into the streets. People need to know.

By the way, have you guys seen the Glassdoor page for Bioware (http://www.glassdoor...iews-E22998.htm? What a hoot. Sounds like the place is circling the drain.

A choice review from an ex-employee

And it's not the only one. All of the reviews posted over the last year say the exact same thing.

Thanks for the link, it confirmed one thing I've suspect for ages.

Unless you were hired when the company was founded there is zero chance for advancement. Lots of weird politics, nepotism and unfathomable decision making. Management is clueless about building anyones careers but their own. Production always seems like its their first project ever. Get in, get a credit and get out. Innovation is rejected from a place of jealousy and insecurity as the old guard (the 1%) are easily th…

Yup.

Bioware hasn't been Bioware for many years.  They are Bioware: A Division of EA

idk EA has a lot of flaws, but I don't see them giving so little money that BW can't keep their own forums. If it comes to that, I think it'd have to be bad management from BW itself.

Much more important, why do you let us starve the fish, BioWare? They are defenseless, innocent slaves. Think of the aquatic life, it must be preserved!

I agree. I have a sneaking suspicion that they are are in some pretty desperate financial straits.

Wouldn't they only be at a crisis if papaEA deny them money, or cut their budget significantly? Closing a forum and deleting is too radical. and if they are that stage, ME:A is indeed in deep trouble.

then you'd think they'd have forced the game to have come out already, not supported what looks like continuing delays (even if they are not announced as such)

Let's go straight to unfounded speculation for a moment.

Say ME:A is in deep trouble, you really want to cancel it because you've already spent lots of $$ that you don't think you're making back, you don't want to waste more money to fix it,  but E3 is approaching so you say "delayed", make a random video that shows off the cool graphics. Then later you close the centralized forum of the game. Maybe months later you cancel it. Shallow cries on reddit, tumblr and tweetville.

@Steelcan

From what I've heard, no. But selling well doesn't mean they were pleased, remember Tomb Raider (2013). It's possible there is trouble with ME:A development, and EA isn't feeling generous anymore.

Thats because they are a step down. But whoever makes the big decisions doesn't see it that way. After all the praise you often hear about in ads is short meaningless sentences, not an essay on why something is awesome.

More like they dgaf. Like some people said, they have "annulled" us, I'll add they will also burn the library and put the tower down. Everything gone.

It a clear message from BioWare.

Yes, I know. That's the same plot I'm describing.

But the con isn't killing the griffons, that was stupidity.

The con is shorting lives, tainting men, making them go crazy enough to seek the underground.

In one of the books, it arguably ended the blight while leading to the extinction of a species (not just any species, but one with significant tactical advantage against the blight).

Pros and Cons.

It extincted the Griffons because they had the brilliant idea to used it on them, and they couldn't resist the taint but the ritual by itself saved more than destroyed.

Serious question, has anything good come about as a result of blood magic in the series thus far? Where blood magic goes, disaster always seems to follow.

I could use it to fuel my healing spells before BioWare nerfed it. /still bitter

No, seriously, the GW ritual. If BW doesn't write it as a mistake in the non existent next game.

I was talking about how letting a possessed psychopath murder your little sister who's never harmed a soul, for no good reason, as she weeps heartbroken after watching you butcher her mentor.

Fenris is a complete piece of garbage. From his betrayal of the fog warriors who sacrificed so much for him to his betrayal of the Gallows that I just mentioned, I have no tolerance for his crap. See, there's something you should know about me. I'm not a fan of genocide. I think genocide is extremely bad. I do not take any excuses whatsoever for partaking in genocide. I have absolutely no sympathy for their suffering. Everyone who participates at the Right of Annulment in Kirkwall should be executed without trial (unless you count "making sure they took part in it" as trial). And I don't mean something painless, I mean crucifixions, impalement, stake burning, that sort of thing. Every single one of them. Fenris is potentially one of them. Fenris should die screaming in agony. Simple as that.

Fenris was a traumatized ex slaver that was conditioned to obey Danarius. Even if he was an unredeemable person in your eyes, selling him to his ex master is one of the worst things you can do in DA. Just like that choice for Beth.

Ahh, Fenris. I remember the first time I played, he turned on me like the beast he is at the Gallows. I didn't realize that was the final quest since the act just started, and I hadn't done the quest with his sister yet. He comes in all self-righteous and murder-happy halfway through the extermination. After finishing, I reloaded from before I past the point of no return and did the leftover quests. Oh my, vengeance (no pun intended) was so sweet when I got to pay him back for his betrayal by handing him over to Danarius. The look on his face! Absolutely priceless! 204582377.gif

On subsequent playthroughs I simply avoid ever meeting him. Preferably I'd like to be able to kill both him and Danarius, but since I'd have to eventually side with one and I think they should both burn in hell, that's unfortunately the best option available.

Is that your final solution? Err, answer?

Weren't you talking how killing Beth is one of the most evil acts in the game just now, Rifneno...

Wait for me! Just let me sell my apartment and all my possessions for that flight ticket to the closest convention! Which would be about 20k kilometers away from where I live...

But don't sell your sewing machine, you'll need it to make that elven armor to show BW you are a real fan.
