Yes. As much as XCOM's a great game (and XCOM2 improves on some aspects while losing out on others) the characters only have as much backstory, problems and character as you yourself give them. This is great as long as you're willing to headcanon everything about them, but wouldn't work very well in an RPG. Well, one that isn't made to cater to BSN's weird tastes, anyway.

 

That said, if you're interested, I know a pretty decent fic from XCOM, based on a YouTuber's playthrough (don't worry, it's not a crap PT, and the fic makes it justice).

The funny thing is that the people that still play SWTOR couldn't care less about BioWare story telling and just want new raids en dungeons to grind. MMO players just want to put their mind on auto pilot, forget about real life, that's why they're all leaving MMO's for even more mind killing MOBA's.

Sounds like escapism as a hobby. Which is probably why most that play games play games.

Well, considering the purpose of Asari as almost a fanservice race initially, that might be why.

We basically got oh so close in all 3 games. Just nothing that was actual zero g in teh show and tell segments.

Other than the ME1 biotic instant kill segment.

I would expect this to gain as much ground as informing everyone that ship names don't need definite articles in front of them.

No ME3 was a decent game of itself and had some very good parts, well worth the money.  Even with the disastrous ending.

 

ME3MP was terrifically done and proved a huge bang for the buck.

Well, even though that store was terrible, it did fund ALL the MP dlc.

I've done a lot of very specific verbatim Google searches for DAI and been directed to these forums. BSN has some of the best guides for segments of DAI all written by FANS.

Especially the resource libraries for ME3MP and DAIMP.

Yea................We're not going to be able to take direct control of squad mates. It's still Mass Effect.

I always thought they should have kept that from teh early version of ME1.

As long as it's used sparingly like The Witcher 3, I could see it being okay to have in the game.

I guess in that context it seems more reasonable.

the more i have been thinking about the closure of BSN...the more upset i get. This place is TOXIC....and that Retake horsecrap made it even more so. I had assumed that things would die down...but it hasnt. The pure BILE that is spewed on this board is disgusting...so i see why BW wants to separate from the negativity.

 

I dont think Twitter is the place to go as a primary source to get info from BW. Twitter only allows "shiny happy" speech....and the speech they DEEM fitting. I dont agree with that..at all.  I disagree with the BS TOXIC STUFF here on the BSN....but barring someone from showing their ass because you disagree with it is wrong.
