Is there a screenshot keybind, or are people using 3rd party programs to capture?

 

I'm using Fraps, the licensed version but there is also a free version that lets you capture bmp-screenshots. 

since I cant get any real gaming time in during the week, I've been trying to create a woman of colour but the options there are rather limited, especially the hair.

I find it hard to believe that I have been accidentally avoiding those bears in over 12 hours of gameplay in the Hinterlands and the Storm Coast. So yes, really, what is up with that? I mean, if I don't get those bears because I didn't do a particular mission, that's a good thing because I can try to avoid them in future runs.

I've unlocked all of the south map of the Hinterlands. The only thing that is actually still undiscovered is to the far north west. I was wondering if those bears do show up after you've finished a particular quest or if they are part of the environment from the beginning because so far I haven't seen a single one. I did have a rather epic battle with a Druffalo that I had the brilliant idea to attack with my daggers when I was level two and roaming around outside of Haven. It was long and hilarious and kind of pathetic on my part really but hilarious regardless.

So I was just chatting with a friend and she said that she doesn't like those bears in the game that keep showing up and making life hard. I've played my rogue for 12+ hours and have reached level 9. I am playing on normal. I've been to Val Royeaux once and recruited Sera and got the Storm Coast unlocked and went there too. I haven't done the horse quest in the Hinterlands yet because I was busy doing other stuff. Still, I have discovered nearly all of the map in the Hinterlands and still haven't encountered any bears. Is that a bug? I mean, I don't want any bears but I am wondering.

There are definitely patches in the works.  If there wasn't I probably would have opted to do something else this evening than taunt people with faux attention with no plans to actually make an effort to address issues. :\

Try as I might can't get Experience to install always fails on me...no clue why.

what error do you get? do you have UAC turned on or off? do you run the install as administrator?

There may be a problem with your computer Feraele... How does recent games run ?
 
Also, 4gb RAM  is very low nowadays... especially as you run windows 64b.
 
I've 16gb RAM and when the game's up, computer's using at least half of it.... (I play full ultra althoug)

not necessarily. her graphic card has 2GB RAM. Mine has 4 in addition to 8GB which runs the game perfectly fine on Ultra, even though it gets all laggy when it's running too hot but that's rather a problem of me not having cleaned it out in a while *coughs*

if you've ever tested something to see if it works well enough you'll know that the moment you release it, there will be a ton of stuff you either didn't think of to test or that still doesn't work even though it did when you tested it, or that only doesn't work in a certain environment. That basically happens to anyone working in IT and figuring out WHY something doesn't work the way it should, takes time. And no matter how 'EASY' it is to implement something, there is no point in releasing updates for just one small thing because the stuff that won't work AFTER that tiny release will only add to the stuff that isn't working (or working properly) now. So why stress about it in the first place. I think the most important thing is to make sure that as many people as possible can actually RUN the game to begin with. Everything else may be an annoyance but it's not making the game unplayable unless our own standards are so high we aren't able to pull our own heads from our arses.

I played DA:O for a whole year..(because I loved it to pieces,  and the stories came alive for me,  tried all the story lines)    I made 23 characters in total.    Then the big switch to console ..DA:2.     I am not sure why anyone needed to fix what wasn't broken.    Anyway DA:2 held my attention for 12 hours.   That was it.  
 
Now we come upon Inquisition,   and I was very excited ..we would get to explore OTHER AREAS of Thedas and learn more about the Dragon Age world.      
 
I got in there for a whole hour.     Had to log.     Now ..no matter what I do,  install, uninstall graphic driver...stand on my head...yell at my machine.   I can't play the game I bought for $73.00  Canadian.    Digital deluxe edition.     I would like to even "like" this game, given the chance.   No crashing while ingame...but then again I don't tend to push my graphic card...usually put it on high or maybe medium.      Can't even do that.     Nvidia card...not Radeon.   Nvidia says my card includes Dragon Age Inquisition as a game that it can play.       So far,  not convinced.

if you're running Nvidia, you might wanna install GeForce experience : http://www.geforce.c...rce-experience)even though I had updated my graphic cards driver just before, I got another driver through the Experience interface. That fixed basically all my problems for me.

Aggressive?   I can't even get in the game lol.    I am not sure if its the Origin app,  or the problem with the digital deluxe version of the game..don't know,  not a programmer/coder.     I just came back to see if they've found a solution to some of us not being able to enter the game.    I did get in once,  for a whole hour,  then the next day went to log in,  and nope.    Oh didn't crash at all while in there...was confused by some of the odd things like the waving of my staff and firing at random things, when I tried to use my mouse as I am used to do..in rpg games.     Right click was good for making your whole party run ahead of you, but I wasn't in there long enough to really get used to the strangeness of what they've done to Dragon Age.     Maybe one day I'll get to play it again...for more than an hour.

what setup do you run the game on? I've had problems getting it running at first too. And the latest Origin update didn't let me even start the game but once I had repaired the game files it would load again.

I can't wait for he walk/run toggle either but right now 'just running' doesn't make my game 'unplayable'. It's simply unplayable. Some players don't use WALK to begin with. And it doesn't matter when one started gaming. Maybe the Walk-toggle is just a bug that needs fixing. An oversight that can happen to anyone. Why are some people so freakin' aggressive when it comes to this? It's no like the world is going to end right now because my character can't 'WALK'.

while I can understand the frustration over some things, I am wondering if some users here are aware that they are 'talking' to real people. People who love what they do and who want to do a good job regardless of people's assumptions that they just wanna make money. Personally, I'd appreciate it if some people actually looked at the 'tone' of their posts before they hit send. Yeah, some things suck but there is no point in getting rude. That won't help matters at all.

Some stuff can be improved but so far, I am having no problems holding the right-mouse-button clicked to look around and move. Maybe I am used to it from other games so it doesn't bother me at all.

I agree on the zoom levels but the zoom levels now don't keep me from playing the game.

I'm playing on a 2-year old MSi GT70 with an Intel i7 and a Geforce GTX 675M with 4GB RAM. I've had trouble getting the game started. At first, it would load and then I would get a green Fade environment with no character and the character screen wouldn't load the character at all.

I updated all my drivers resulting in the game opening a black window and then close it again.

I had to install the latest version of GeForce Experience (found here http://www.geforce.c...rce-experience)and once that was installed, install from it the latest driver it provided. After that, the game ran until the latest Origin update after which it wouldn't load at all. So in Origins I searched for updates for the game (right-click on the game title and then updates) but it didn't find any. After that I let Origin repair the game files which took a while but then the game could be started again. I hope this helps someone who's having the same issues I had.

So far I've only had 1 or 2 crashes when loading the character record, or rather, the game froze and had to be closed via task manager. No crashes during cut scenes or war room table. I'm running most settings on ultra with no effect on performance worth mentioning.

At first I thought it was too mush...especially the eyes. But there was something intriguing about her. And then there started to form a story about her. If she were any other class than a mage I don't think this look would work...but I REALLY like it. Nice job.

I love Sumalee's voice. So rich and beautiful. I can't wait to hear more of her throughout the game. Just restarted with a new class and haven't gotten far so I am very excited to listen to her voice for the next idk how many hours

Actually, it would be funny to see how history would have been if the only thing Mandela, Gandhi, MLK, Malcolm X, Angela Davis and the other famous activists had just politely raised their hand and asked "Please ?". I'm sure they would have obtained equality at once, since politeness is ever the most efficient way to obtain what you want in this world.
