Some different, but ultimately inconsequential, weapons and armours for use in-game. Stuff like the N7 weapons and Defender armour was great for the ME3 edition because they were badass to use without being overpowered. What I don't want to see is retailer-specific bonuses, because I remember with soreness the GAME debacle in the UK last time around. Someone always loses out.

General Discussion (NO Spoilers)
Just in case anyone was curious, the "Lunge & Slash" bug seems to be a problem even outside the DLC. I installed Trespasser, loaded up a save just before the final battle, and specced Lunge & Slash onto Cass just before stuff starts getting real. CTD ten seconds into the next combat -- something which has never happened in the base game before.

General Discussion (NO Spoilers)
If I were a PS3 or Xbox 360 player, I would be livid right now. It is not okay to release a game on multiple platforms and then cease to support some of those platforms -- in my view, that's even worse than timed exclusivity, because at least publishers are fairly up front about that before purchase. Whether there's legal basis or not, it's disingenuous to allow people to buy the game on a given platform, witholding knowledge that it would not enjoy equal support.
I get why they did it. I'm sure the older tech is holding back production of DLC. That doesn't make it okay.
EDIT: Oh, and trying to frame it as "Great news!" for 360 and PS3 players is just insulting.

General Discussion (NO Spoilers)
A role-playing game is a game about playing roles, which you do in Inquisition with great aplomb. The dice-rolling, card-shuffling tabletop mechanics are simply facilitators of the playing of roles, and their ubiquity in classic examples of the genre does not invalidate examples that lack them.

General Discussion (Spoilers)
Sera is the most honest character in the Inquisition and the one with the clearest priorities: save the people from the giant green holes in the air regardless of who's in charge. The degree of her contrast with the rest of the inner circle is her greatest strength and she always retains sight of her goals.
I found her to be the most rewarding to "unlock"; if you're not a Sera fan you'll likely never get her approval to the degree where she really opens up to you and actually tells you something meaningful about herself.

General Discussion (Spoilers)
When Inquisition came out I was amazed by how little negative opinion was on the forum. Sure, there wasn't much praise either, but coming from here that's like we were declaring our undying love for Dragon Age Perfectquisition: Game of the Millennium. So I suspect most of us love the game, despite its flaws, as I do.
Six weeks later, now that we've thought of bad things to say about it (Inquisition makes DAII look like a god-tier game? Come ON), it's getting some more stick. We're notoriously critical here, with a reputation even in the gaming community at large.
I believe Dragon Age: Inquisition is the best AAA big-budget game of the year. It has masses of content; a great story (not BioWare's best ever, but great IMHO); a fun, decently tactical combat system; impressive mechanics; enormous replay value; grand scale and THE BEST characters BioWare has ever written. That's saying something, because I thought Mass Effect's cast was just about perfect.
Game of the Year is a flimsy award, because when comparing across genres and marking criteria it largely becomes a matter of preference. That said, I don't see how someone who was disappointed with DA2 or ME3 can be disappointed with Inquisition.

General Discussion (Spoilers)
Even if Flemeth is Mythal, she's been taking control of folks for ages to extend her life. So Morrigan could well be elven by "lineage", if not by genetics. Flemeth's relationship with Kieran is less clear-cut. Did the old god have an effect on his appearance when he was developing, maybe? Or are human alleles more dominant than elven ones?

General Discussion (Spoilers)
I really love all the companions in this game. Major props to all you writers! Be proud.
It seems Dorian is the fashionable choice... and gods help me, he's mine too. So likable in so many ways, has a unique perspective (like everyone in Inquisition), brash flamboyance and vulnerability rolled into one.
Sera seems to be polarising, but I think she's great. She's the one who keeps the Inquisition grounded in reality (so to speak) -- without her, it'd just be a bunch of rich noble farts faffing around over who gets to lord themselves over what. I'm sure she'd agree.
Same with Blackwall -- he may be mellow, but that's not a bad thing. Just when you think you have him figured out as the pensive white knight, everything gets tipped on its head. It's valuable to have a guy who's been up and down the spectrum of good and evil, and have him react to you accordingly.

My recommendation:
DO get this game on PC. There are a few glitches and the controls take some getting used to, but they're not bad and, if your machine has the power and you can deal with Origin, the game looks much better than it does on the consoles. Inquisition is a wonderful, ambitious game that you shouldn't deprive yourself of because of a couple of technical misgivings.

Is anyone else running into an issue where squad members aren't showing up at their appointed map markers in Skyhold? Thought I'd go out and do a mission but I still can't find Cassandra anywhere. Or Varric, or Blackwall or Sera.
Rather see if anyone else is experiencing this on the forum before before beating my head against the wall that is Answers HQ. Because it's obviously pretty game-breaking ![]()

Every time I play a DA game I miss a squadmate. In Origins, I missed Sten, and it was too late to recruit him after the Blight reached Lothering. In DAII I missed Fenris. A shame, since at least one of them turned out to be a really interesting character on repeat playthroughs.
Come to think of it, I hadn't even heard of "qunari" until I looked online and played through the game again.

My first encounter went horribly. Got up to level 12, same as the one in the first main region, and went for it with Cassandra, The Iron Bull, and Cole... and a fire staff.
We were all at half health by the time we got past the dragonlings and dead before we got the dragon a quarter of the way down. Will try again shortly with Blackwall instead of Bull, Solas instead of Cole (I've got some winter spells on him) and a couple of ice staffs.

I was annoyed by Sera when I met her, but finding out more about her as the story goes on (though admittedly I'm not very far through it) has helped me understand her better and appreciate what she brings to the table. Similarly, seeing Cassandra transform from the hard-assed seeker to the (firm-assed
) human being with a beating heart has been rewarding.
I deliberately avoided previews for this game so I didn't get preconceptions about the characters, a decision I so far feel good about. Blackwall is my current favourite. What a cool bloke!

Is there supposed to be a limit to the number of times you can fill a particular requisition? Because I'm at the Oasis region (sorry if that's a spoiler) and am being offered the same two requisitions (for varying amounts of serpentstone and paragon's luster) multiple times -- the requisitions officer offers me a new instance of it as soon as i complete the old one.
Since I've collected a fair amount of those materials, I've amassed about fifteen power from a couple of minutes at the requisition table. Is this a glitch of some kind? Or am I supposed to be able to take these surveys time and time again?
