Based on the game so far.. all of their artwork depicts of bald humanoids with pointy ears, so.. could it be that they are hairless? (Please honest to God 'NO' otherwise I might have to actually thank Solas for putting up the Veil there.. since it allows the elves to have hair)

no solas is bald by choose art by bioware of him in his younger days shows him with dreads

Solas can't possibly believe he deserves to be thought of as a dashing hero, he destroyed his entire civilization. (And in fact he says the stories of him in Trespasser romanticize him too much)

One thing i noticed was in elven time he didn't like the world so he changed it and now thousands of years later he hates the world he himself is responsible for creating and so wants to destroy it Solas pretty much sh*t the bed and doesn't want to lay in it.  

Of course they probably did. But being a soldier does NOT mean he has to be a Knight Enchanter. As his specialization suggests, he was probably more of a glass cannon type of mage, aka the Rift Mage.

maybe elves didnt have soldiers in the sense humans have soldiers maybe solas simply went with it so that black wall could understand him and plus not let on who he really is

The ancient elves had different magical paths. They had Arcane Warriors I wonder if they had other unique magical professions, like someone who specializes in Spirits, animals, plants or a specific school of magic.

Arcane warriors are making a return tho so maybe the dalish know more than they are letting on?

well magic was up until DA'I fading away the events of that game set up the return of magic and of the psychotic elves banished by the dread wolf, (which he now wants after seeing what has happened to the world he created) 

Well you kind of guess some things right if you didn't read about Solas and Trespasser.

Someone did destroy the elves civilization but it was a side effect of wanting to get rid of the elven gods.The elves weren't dangerous as a whole , but a number of them their Gods went too far and were threatening to destroy the world.

Ah i see but as i pointed out they lost everything and even in britian we know more about our celtic ancestors than the elves do about themselves, what about the possibility of someone from the shadows erasing elven history what are your thoughts on that?

Iv always wondered if the whole darkspawn thing was a symptom of magic being filtered by the veil you know something that couldn't before happen with so much magic around started happening due to the veil. 

Another thought is could elves be highly important for the security of Thedas? allow me to elaborate, for some reason the elves went through a rather rabid and devastating decline culturally speaking after the veil. Now take the celts (or German pagans) a great deal of their ways and religion greatly impacts modern life, the Native Americans have also suffered culturally but still they endure.

Now onto the my main point using real life attempts to stamp out a culture how is it the elves lost so much, could it have been someone with perhaps godlike powers going out their way to stamp out elven culture and possible elves themselves? Is it possible that something/things was greatly threatened by elves and needed them gone or at least their history as the saying goes those who dont know their history cannot learn from it.

Crazy thought, what if humans were once elves and they are the ones who lost the elfness part of themselves??

id love a book based on the black divine its something only really mentioned in the franchise haivng a book based on him would be awesome and a fantastic change if pace.

well whilst we're over thinking it i doubt they bath ever, heck 100 years ago only the rich bathed and that was once or twice a year and that was considered too clean!  

 

While I'm all for killing the Hero of Ferelden for good (seriously, this chapter has to be closed in a definitive manner: maybe dead maybe alive conclusions don't work well in series filled with recurring characters) I doubt Bioware will dare give him/her an offscreen death.

 

im all for new champions each DA installment but i want the warden to have a happy ending, whilst i wasnt overly fond of hawk i still think happy ending  i like games that end on a happy note:)

Early Life

Ive always imagined my elf being being born in Highever, her parents were servants to one of the Knights of a small Ban but were killed by Arl Howes troops when she was around 4 (DA:O events). It is that moment she discovered her magical potential using them to wound the soldiers and saved the Knights life and together they fled to Denerim, but the Templars soon discovered her and took her to the Circle where she spent the next 15 years. 

Circle Life

Growing up in the Circle she studied Ancient languages and by the time she reached her twenties she could speak avvar, read and write Ancient Tevinter  and had a basic understanding of Elven.  Despite being highly talented Neria was thoroughly disliked in the Circle due to her habit of  being a colossal jerk to everyone, preferring to make a joke out of them and finding ways to mock them in witty putdowns and delighted in annoying them. The templars got tired of the complaints about Neria so she was shipped off to Orlais where she continued her studies of the lost elven language.

DA:I Events

After spending 2 years in Orlais the mage-Templar war broke out and she and a couple of other elven mages sort the protection of the Dalish which a clan agreed to only if she taught the keeper what she had learned about her studies of the Ancient ways. The Dalish keeper then began to train her in the ways of the Dalish keeper in the hopes she would become her 1st.

Personality  

 Neria is s bright talented young elf with a sarcastic sense of humor and is staggeringly selfish, the current situation of elves is something she doesn't really think concerns her and is very likely to laugh in the face of anyone who expects a favor where she doesn't get anything out of it. Despite huge flaws shes not a bad person really and like most city elves believes in the maker much to the Keeps annoyance (which Neria loves to do to people).

I hope it all makes sense aha really like this topic love reading other peoples creations, i love playing elves because iv always reckoned im a closet elf  in real life but seriously i guess im drawn to the fact that the higher classes are trying to crush them and take everything from them and they aren't letting them.  

my favourite is Dorian wudda been solas but Dorian makes the cut because when my femelf inquisitor saved the world, Dorian said "i cant leave my best friend" and that became my favourite line i t he dragon age universe ever

i think they are perfectly fine for other people the characters in DA:I for me were popel i'd rather be friends with friendship arcs were far more satisfying, not everyy dragon age game should be about your gal/guy getting laid i like what bioware did this time around except sera shes lame

on the bright side friendships were far better by the end i really felt like i was part of a close nit family

 Dorian ended up being one of my favourites as a character  so im thinking of romancing him with my mage dude elf just because i like how real he seems as a straight guy should i worry about myself? ahaha

i think the romances are great it makes you think more of them as a person rather than a "toy" i didnt like the other characters as a romance for my fem elf but i liked solas

It would be interesting to have the opinion of a bioware writer on this, due to the alternate story for DA:O that could have been, heck they could even use the the planned marriage between Celene and Cailian as a cause for ferelden to invade later on. I think King Alistar would not be able to calm down the Fereldan nobles screams for blood.
