Whew... finally caught up!

 

I really want to hold back my excitement right now but at the same time I want to jump around in excitement!

 

Going to do my best to keep my hopes down though... I already got some of my hopes dashed before thanks to Super Smash Bros disconfirming few of my wanted characters and it still hurts. So in effect, I'm in full caution mode for anything right now.

OMG It seems like I chose the right time to look away from EVO 2014 for bit.

Well I usually kind of fiddle around the CC until I find something I like, but I did some looking around to see what I would like to hopefully get.

 

Not sure on my male Qunari Mage but if I can get a nice looking one that would be awesome. I decided to look at some of the humanoid demons in Shin Megami Tensei for inspiration. So along with my male Qunari, the following  takes into account other males Inquistors that I might make in afterwards.

Earlier in the thread I saw Drizzt and I love that idea. It would be great if I can get something like that too. Geez, now I'm really hopeful for the choice of long hair on the CC.

 

As for my female Inquisitor, Impa! Especially how she looks in Hyrule Warriors!

Hm... with the way this conversation is going. I'm being reminded of Raine from Tales of Symphonia.

 

Like she's pretty serious, super intelligent and looks after the younger party members. But if there are ruins and magitechnology, she'll get super obsessed and nerdy aka "Ruin-Mode"

 

And not only that she's the main healer and a half-elf in the game

In any case, it would be nice to see Cole not be so down on himself and find some humor about his situation.

What about Vivenne? And there's barely information about Scribbles. Maybe you'll like her once info about her is up?

Cole fans are also pretty divided as he's a very polarizing character. It seems to be either "he's my precious babbu and must be protected" or "kill with fire". I expect come release and once we know more about him it'll kick up again. ^^

 

Well, for me, I rather not have the "aw you precious baby!" thing with Cole. I mean sure, the turnips thing and such sounds adorable, but ah... I prefer a bromance or a sibling thing with him. That is definitely the safest bet for me since romance in general with Cole even if it's asexual got people pretty divided so... yeah.

 

I'm pretty interested in helping Cole out with discovering himself but like a friend/sibling would, not a overbearing parent. So... I guess I'm in the middle of that spectrum?

 

Do you guys prefer playing as the same race as the LI you pursue in that file or are more into interspecies relationships?

 

I'm a huge fan of interspecies myself. ^^ Thinking of romancing Dorian as an elf. 

 

Well I probably prefer interspecies relationships. Though the romances that I really liked ended up as elves (Zevran and Fenris).

I'm hoping to run with a male Qunari mage for this game. And if I'm lucky I would be able to romance Solas with my male Qunari.

 

So fingers-crossed right now.

I'm curious about how today's information has affected everyone's opinions on potential romances (or just Solas in general). Like...my first pick was Cullen (loved him since DAO) but now my first playthrough is definitely going to be Solas if he's a LI.. Anyone else in the same boat? I've always had Cullen and Solas as my two favorite options in the game.. I'm just surprised how much Solas has edged out Cullen

 

If he isn't a romance, who are you going to go for instead? Did anyone have zero interest in him before the new info but now are considering him as an option? Or is he just going to be a bro to your inquisitor and you aren't interested in a romance with him (if there is one)?

 

Well I sort of have this thing where I try to have my characters be male mages (thanks to Baldur's Gate), but different races for each title.

So... DA - Elf, DAII - Human (since Hawke was just that), for this game I'm hoping to be able to go with a male Qunari mage.

 

Solas is definitely my first choice to romance since I felt the most curious about him. Cassandra being second, hopefully for my female inquistor. And for the other... I hope people don't jump on me for this, but I was hoping for Cole for be a choice (asexually!). Guess it doesn't help that I was exposed to tons of Chinese stories and dramas with Ghost Love stories...

 

Other than what I mention though? If things aren't what I hope for, I'll wing it, all I know is that I want to play a male Qunari mage.

Out of all the new companions, I think I'm really curious and excited about Solas, special mentions to Cole and Cassandra.

 

Might be silly but... if Solas is a possible romance I hope he's a bi, since I usually like playing male mages.

This is amazing! The thing I find weird was that the Ranger have two branches of Dual Weapon: The Dual Weapon branch and the Two Weapon style branch. I also think that the the Two-Handed Style branch could be expanded a bit a more. But anyways I love this and I already endorse this on Nexus! Thanks for the hard work!

I'll probably be a elven mage (Arcane Warrior/Spirit Healer)

Name: Yasuhana

Appearance: Average height and a bit stocky. Dark brown hair that reaches the shoulders and have brown eyes. Wears a pair of small dangling earrings (they have clasps). Most of the time have a bored look. Wears absolutely no makeup. (Hate makeup)

Background: A elf who lived with her parents and sisters being servants to a kind noble. From the age of 7-10, her father trained her in swordsmanship.  At the age of 11, she was found to have magic capabilities and was sent to the Circle. At the Circle, she felt put off and was very lonely. She passed her Harrowing and when the opportunity to venture out of the Circle arrive, she immediately went out. As she was travelling to hopefully be able to go see her family again, she bumped into Hawke.

Personality: At first, she will be uncomfortable talking to people. But if the person persist and kept talking to her, she will slowly get more comfortable. She has low self-esteem at times. She treasures the few friends she managed to make so she's extremely loyal. However she worries that her friends will up and leave her, so she can get very attached. She is willing to listen to other peoples' problems and worries even if she can't find the right words to comfort them, but she would keep her problems to herself unless someone keeps pestering her about them. She usually doesn't have much to say unless the topic interest her. She occasionally have sarcastic and smart-mouth remarks, especially if it's a person she doesn't like. She doesn't like killing, but if it can't be avoided she will fight. She likes to read and she is not really religious. She finds public affection really embarassing and hates the smell of smoke and alcohol.
