At least use your main account to plug your forum and stop referring to yourself in the third person.

Right, I mean if someones gotta plug something they can at least do it properly. 

I highly doubt they will reconsider it at all.

Again - this isn't to make the forums a better place. It's to make the forums low maintenance. It's too much work to have a forum where people can talk about any topic they want. Bioware doesn't care if every person on these forums gets up and leaves... that's the bottom line. They want it to exist so they can say they have a forum, but they don't actually want anyone posting here. Because people who post require effort.

They want to put the absolute, bare-bones, bottom-of-the-barrel amount of effort into this place. In terms of manhours, actual dollars, server space, creative drive... you name it, they don't want to spend it. It's not worthwhile to them. YOU aren't worthwhile to them. Unless you have a Reddit account, at least. Then they think you have an opinion worth expressing.

I just can't see them reconsider. That would be OOC for Bioware

"Incentive was found, I wanted to love best P4 gurl and thinking more about something so enjoyable as P4 is always a good thing. Got to get back into it soon and refresh my memory of a few things.

This is pretty much a first part if I ever write more but there are absolutely without a doubt a ton more that one could talk about Yukiko and any of the other characters

As always when writing anything there truly hard part is where to begin and with Yukiko there are countless of entry points where one could start talking about her. Yukiko is given a very traditional role with more constraints and limitations than almost any other role in the society she lives in. Already from the basis of being a female her options are being limited and on top of that she’s born into a family that set her apart from the normal girl. From the start of her life Yukiko is set on a path to follow and this is a very large part of her social link and the interactions with her, she’s the heiress of the Amagi Inn and it obviously add even more pressure and what she perceive as limitations on who she can be and what she can do. Her position require a lot of attention in her life and to that degree that it affect not only her spare time which a normal kid would in many cases spend with friends, do stuff they want and just have a fun time. It also affect her school life in several ways in which how people look at her is the most obvious one but also that we learn that she some days are required to either skip classes or entire days because the Inn require her assistance. This even more set her apart from people around her and only add to the feeling of being constrained. She’s also given the normal expectations that other kids are often given by their parents should do well in school and this alone do not affect her is another small weight on shoulders that already have been made to carry a great deal. The bars are being added up and what she end up feeling is like a bird caught in a cage and only being able to observe what other people are allowed to do but she within her cage is entirely unable to do. This causes her a great deal of anxiety and this is what the player end up dealing with.




One large reason why I completely love Yukiko and her story is that it’s a story that allowed me a lot of self-reflection and encouraged me to look at life and look at many aspects of my life in different ways than I originally did. The player helps Yukiko in doing this over the course of her social link and the rest of the game. When we rescue her we more or less break the cage wide open and Yukiko go from being caged and instead get caught up in a sudden rush of freedom that let her spread her wings to their full extent and this allow us to see that she’s so much more than the formal, quiet and reserved girl that we are first shown. Yukiko laughing at the most silly jokes makes me smile like few things and it just make her that more alive. Yukiko truly care and appreciate her friends which thanks to being raised as a lady give her a bit of a motherly aura. She put the wellbeing of the people she cares about as her top priority. Yukiko is also a very open-minded person with a straightforward approach and this only adds to her very caring personality. One only needs to look at how she verbally knocks out the rude reporter to get a perfect example of how caring she is. What the player and Yukiko are doing over the course of her social link is taking a look at who she is and where she has grown into this caring, supportive and lively person that she actually is. Yukiko start with the rather natural step of doing a bit of a rebellion at what she perceives to be a life that never allows her freedom or chances to deviate and her idea of becoming an interior decorator which is a rather creative and allow a good deal of freedom does contrast a great deal with the life that she see as limiting. Now to make this possible she do need to learn to cook (oh dear) and learn a few other things so that she can be able to live on her own and this is where things start to appear differently to her than they have in the past.



What Yukiko start to notice and understand is the immense support she’s given from the people around her and that they genuinely do want the very best for her. What she first saw as people grooming her for a role are now instead full of wonderful people that do what they can for her to make her life better and give her the tools she need to experience more things in life, to be more free. It’s through the freedom that she has been given with the aid of the player and the things that she do with it that allow Yukiko to reflect on her life and everything around her. She’s always been thinking a lot and often gloomy thoughts which are now replaced by thoughts given fresh air. She discover that she don’t actually hate her role or the future that she’s been set to work towards and she herself make the choice to follow the path once more and this is the key to her transformation. With her making the choice the chains and the bars are vanishing into nothing or even become tools for her to focus even better on what she needs to do. Yukiko is a very dutiful person so with her own will deciding to follow the path she’s now able to do the same things as before but with the result of having more energy over and being able to keep her true lively nature intact under the stress of her position. She’s finally happy after being contained for so long.



Her romance is just so awesome that writing about it quite easily end up using several ways of describing lovely or sweet. But it’s where Yukiko is able to spread her wings the most and be herself to the best of her ability and just from that it’s impossible for me to do anything else but completely love every moment that I get to spend with her when she’s like that. Also seeing the entire Inn stand with her kind of strengthen the idea that she’s never alone and will always be supported which is a reminder of all the work she and the player put in to see the world from another point of view. Her daydream around valentine about them standing together at the entrance welcoming new guests is just so adorable that but it also make it clear that Yukiko now look towards the future with hope and excitement instead of being gloomy and stressed out. She has been allowed to breath and growth and this becomes that much clearer when romanced. Also we get the chance to see her be open and honest which was not at all the case when in her cage. One can also mention that all the skills she has learned due to her position and family are exceptionally well suited skills for someone that want to take care of others and especially a family, we never heard Yukiko actually say it directly but she’s a very intelligent and now also more happy person so she will find even more reasons to work towards her goal of being the next manager. Anything that helps the people she cares about help her.



I’ll stop here for now. There are just so much more that I could talk about not to mention the relationship between Yukiko and Chie and how it affect both of them and just so many other parts. Yukiko is a child of Inaba and that is getting clearer by each time I think about it.
