This is partially why I liked the Friendship/Rivalry system so much.

I LOVE Blackwall and Cadash together and, from what you said about your character, I think it'd allow for A LOT of character growth on both ends.

I've never been a fan of Josephine's romance, and it seems you're not either. It also seems to much of a fairy tale IMHO, especially when compared to Cadash's dark background.

Gameplay is completely different. Story has a new protagonist and is set 10 years after the events of the first game. The decisions you made in Origins may have consequences in Inquisition, as long as you make your World State in the Dragon Age Keep website and export it to DAI.

Devs also recommend you get out of the Hinterlands as soon as you can.

You can play them whenever you want, and you even get exclusive dialogue depending on when you play them (though Descent only has one line that differs depending on whether you play it before or after the final mission).

Personally, I like playing Jaws Of Hakkon after the story and The Descent before it ends.

I like Cassandra as well, but she never brings up, or atleast I don't remember the conversation, her old boyfriend who was a mage. In her movie, she had a developing relationship with a circle mage, and she never talks about it.

 

She does talk about it if you romance her. She mentions that he died at the Conclave during the sex scene.

Thanks. I'll check it out. What about customization and armors? My Shepard looks ugly in every single game and not as detail as the default one. Are they using the same engine? I hope I have a lot of hood and robes for mages and more cool armors for the guys. Are the armors look cool? I hope the hair is at least better than ME series, it has so little variation. 

 

DAI has much more customization than every other BioWare game (except for hairstyles, lol). DAI is using the Frostbite 3 engine, unlike DAO & DA2 which used the Eclipse engine and the Mass Effect series that used the Unreal engine. If you play on low settings/old gen consoles, the game doesn't look that good though.

I like armors in DAI, but I've heard some who don't. There are many more armour customization options when compared to Mass Effect 3, I think.

It should be noted that if you get the GOTY edition of the game, which includes the Deluxe Edition, The Descent, Trespasser, Spoils Of The Qunari and Spoils of The Avvar DLCs (and also the Jaws Of Hakkon DLC, but IIRC this one doesn't add any new armours to the game), there'll be more armours available from the start.

The game sounds interesting, it seems like it won the most Games of the Year awards during the year it releases, so it could be interesting. Which race would be best to start DAI anyway?

There's no Paragon/Renegade system. Instead, every choice you make has its pros and cons, and there's no "good" or "bad" choices.

 

Your companions may approve or disapprove of your actions depending on their view of the matter at hand. If companions disapprove too much, they may leave you.

 

If I'm not mistaken, elven mages get more dialogue options than other races and classes, but some say that for a newcomer it might be best if you did your first playthrough with a human, as you might not understand some of the lore references the elves do. I, however, think that you should choose exclusively based on what backstory intrigues you the most.

Thanks. So there are gay romance in each game. Didn't know DA has gay romance in every game. It seems so progressive. Is the gameplay similar to Skyrim? I like that game. Should I play the previous 2 games before starting Inquisition or can I just jump in? Would I miss out anything important by not importing? Is there any game branching like Witcher 2?

 

Well, you'd miss out on some big reveals but I'd personally say that playing the first 2 games of the series is not as important as it'd be if you wanted to play, say, Mass Effect 3.

 

You can use the Dragon Age Keep website (https://dragonagekee...S/account-check) to get a quick summary of what happened in the first 2 games (just login, get to the Tapestry, click on the world symbol in the upper-right corner and click on the "Play" button). You can also change the choices you did in DAO and DA2 by using this website, but I wouldn't recommend you do so if you haven't played the other 2 games first (in other words: stick to the default World State).

well I like dark souls. And the mass effect games. I've played god of war and loved it along with some gears of war and infamous.

I love batman games too. 

 

I think you might like DA2 and DAI more than DAO when it comes to the combat system. I'd recommend you try them all at least once though, just to be sure. Maybe watch some gameplays on YouTube...?

Yes. Zevran from DAO can be romanced by males, same for Anders and Fenris from DA2 and for Dorian and The Iron Bull from DAI.

Leliana (DAO), Merrill & Isabela (DA2) and Josephine & Sera (DAI) can be romanced by female characters.
