#19335342 Will you play as M or F?

Posté par Crypticqa sur 24 juin 2015 - 09:27 dans General Discussion

Because of social engineering, and it's not for the better. Trying to flip the script has been doing more harm than good. Many men don't like masculine women, and feminine men can basically forget about ever having a girlfriend or a stable romantic relationship. Not to mention that emasculated men have trouble functioning in society on a regular basis and are prone to checking out of society, becoming depressed and eventually commit suicide.

But this is all terribly off-topic though.

Ye last off-topic thing from me. If a calm and not agressive man who shows some emotions is feminine for you ,then i have news, my partner is that and I would not change EVER for some macho idiot, so there is the thing on relationships. Thats all.

#19335304 What happened to this community?

I dont know, it seems just the same as before. People wanting things, people not wanting things, exited people, meh people, trolls and flame wars. Just like the good old one

Those standards aren't from the 50's, they have been the standards since the dawn of time and still are today. The fact that certain groups of people are in denial about it and desperately try to redefine masculinity and femininity doesn't change that.

Also I'm pretty sure people with my views are the minority on the BSN. Feminists and social justice warriors are much more common on the BSN.

But it needs to be redefined. More and more people seems to have traits of the opposide gender if you really want to use that term, so naturally it needs to progress.

Well now that everyone is getting along I'm going to bring this up. as for the the edi camel toe thing, you have to remember her body was trying to pass off as a human wearing a skin tight catsuit thus the camel  toe. Now let the arguing commence.

Yes, because when someone want to hire a researcher (or whatever she was pretending to be) , they need to make sure she has a cameltoe and will check that during a job interview. Na, they would not examine it so closely....I hope

...

Just found it funny really, no arguing

Do you believe femininity and weakness/incompetency go hand and hand?

Just DONT go there... It always ends badly

I think that what he/she is trying to say is that many feminists go around like "OMG stop oppressing me, I can wear whatever the hell I want! Let women walk outside bare chested! Blah blah!" but when they see a woman in a game/movie wearing a sexy outfit they go nuts. He has a good point and I've seen many woman do that in real life, but it does not really applies in this scenario/subject we are talking about.

Yes, I admit I have seen that too and it indeed gives feminism a bad name. I thought we were talking about combat tho. But this thread turned into something else it seems.

I have a problem with hypocritical people, I find them intellectually disgusting.

For example people who use a concept that is supposed to empower women to instead oppress them and dictate what they can and can't be.

Not sure how are we opressing anyone with wanting them to wear acual armor in combat instead of high heels. <_<

Posté par Crypticqa sur 24 juin 2015 - 06:20 dans General Discussion

lol....

Again,it is a game mainly about space, soldiers and combat. No reason why both genders should be sexualized (apart from sex scenes). If you want awkward poses and sexy and what not, go to watch porn or whatever **** you consider sexy.

Would really Mass effect sell so bad without all of this crap?

Posté par Crypticqa sur 24 juin 2015 - 12:17 dans General Discussion

Yea why everything has to be about how sexy they look. They are soldiers, probably on a mission, they could not care less how sexy they look. Is that really everything people care about these days ? Leave that for the sex scenes or off duty if you must. I though this game was for mature people 18 plus not for horny teenagers.

Idk clothes made Josephine very unattractive.

I did not play DA:I so I cant really say. But if people want catsuits so be it when a character is not on mission. We just dont want it in combat. You would probably kill yourself in high heels before anyone could shoot you

If Bioware listens to SJWs, the game will fail really hard like Inquisition. If Bioware doesn't listen to them, then we can get another masterpiece like the other Mass Effect games. I know you people hate attractive people but attractive people are part of the world. Deal with it.

Yes well, one can be attractive even without stupid catsuit and high heels. Clothes really doesnt make people more attractive, it can only SHOW more of that attractivness.

Even tho I really cant see why combat armor should make people less attractive, their face is just the same. But I guess that is just me <_<

I suppose we shall ignore Jacob and Vega...

I was more reffering to how people react on those things. The game itself did a good job with equal male and female eyecandy. BUT we got no way the amount of views on male booty compared to Miranda. Even you must see that.

#19328867 Bioware, please no overly sexualized characters!

Posté par Crypticqa sur 23 juin 2015 - 05:56 dans General Discussion

All I gotta say is if they are going to sexualize things. I want sexy men too. Like...I wanna see crotch shots like Miranda had butt shots. I want men with their shirts off and...and well ill think of more demands.

If they can provide this, then by all means. Make sexy women.

Nah, it has been proven that women are not attracted to men's body and are indeed attracted only to their personalities silly. <--- This idiotic argument will be used by men that not wish to see some male eyecandy in games, just watch it. Free double standarts for everyone!   :)

The ratio for me is probably 80:20. With 80 for women characters. But I always try to play man character at least once to see what is different.

I hate catsuits to death BUT we cant ruin that for creepy guys who like stare at pixel booty can we?

Anyway I would be fine if they at least removed high heels in combat... That stuff doesnt make any sense at all.

#19304235 I want ZERO romance options

Posté par Crypticqa sur 18 juin 2015 - 05:54 dans General Discussion

Why don't they just play dating sims then?

I honestly was ok with romances until people started complaining about how unfair the number of romances are as if in real life in a room you always have an equal number of LGBT and straight people. Its really takes away from the characters when people only care about how many they can shag.

Honestly wouldn't care if the whole room was full of lesbians and gay men if it fit the character instead of artificially numbered sexual preferences which make no sense.

Yea, i get it, I too play the game for the story and I dont care much If there is romance or not. If there is I will try it, but I wont rage if it isnt there. Just saying that if they didnt include them, there would be a rage storm from the fans.

#19304107 I want ZERO romance options

Posté par Crypticqa sur 18 juin 2015 - 05:30 dans General Discussion

This war of people who want romances vs people who hate them is always so pointless. They won't get rid of them becase so mamy people like them. I would even say that some play the game only because of them.

#19299656 Sorry, I lost 99% of my interested after finding out we're ditching the M...

Posté par Crypticqa sur 17 juin 2015 - 09:56 dans General Discussion

It is far from ideal for me either, I like the Milky Way because there is our solar system and Earth and what not, but I am willing to give them a chance. If done right, the game and the new galaxy can have that feel of a new home I am sure of it. (I am still going to miss our galaxy tho  )

As much as I enjoyed MP and spent many hours on it,  SP is really what makes their games so good.
