Got my fourth star on Spider Kills, and......


I got Knight's Second in a Superb req chest, last Thursday.   If it is indeed true, that we do not require two hakkon daggers and the Master Stamina amulet, for the crescent, then____________I now have all requirements. Maybe? (depending on the answer to those two things mentioned above.)

Echoing what others have said...I don't keep coming here for the "Dev" interaction, but the "forumite" interaction. Lorecrafting, play through posting, combat/strategy, MP silliness, just to name a few. And I would have never been involved with some of the projects I was a part of, if it hadn't been for BSN/Bioware Forum.

I really do like playing Zither, but he is my least played character, since I end up with Popeye fingers. I do plan to play him more (especially with a Keeper who has Mana Surge.  ), since it would be nice to switch up support characters more often.

On another note, I think I need to go back to NM FC Dragons for a bit. I can't lie, RNG has been pretty forgiving to me, since I came back to DAMP, a few months ago. (Brand, Andruil's Gift, Bosun Blade, Isana Song). But I just can't seem to get my paws on a Hakkon Mercy (let alone two ). Got my first and second Hakkon through NM dragons - last fall -, so I think I may need to revisit more often. Was getting so jelly of my teammates playing Izzy, and the damage they do. Love doing support stuff, but tis fun to see big numbers now and again.

*Of course, I sort of suck at playing Izzy. So, ummm, L2P for me.*

Don't think so, I wouldn't be able to access it if it was down, would I? I'm partly asking this because a friend had one of her World States turned completely on its head, and I'm trying to figure out how it happened. The poor thing at first thought that, since her Warden and Hawke was gone, she had somehow lost her save files. I could reassure her on that account at least, but sadly this mean she had imported a horribly wrong World State to Inquisition - and this is her first time playing the game.

Ahh....sorry, I thought you were referring to in-game stuff (like when you start a new character, for example). Maybe whatever they were working on, broke something else....? Hope it gets rectified.

I know this is off-topic, but my Warden and Hawke have disappeared from my World States and been replaced by the default ones (in this case my Alexis Surana has been changed to Neria Surana). Can you guys please check your World States and see if they are the same?

In the Twitter Feed thread, it was posted that the DA Keep, is down for maintenance. That may be what is causing your situation.

Not sure if you mean the hairstyle you will have your PC wear, doing quests and things like JoH and Decent, before Trespasser, or what you want your PC to wear during Trespasser. If the latter, unfortunately that hairstyle doesn't work in Trespasser. Here are a couple of ones that do though:

No that's what I meant.. the starter grey ones. not the inquisition "captain" ones.    It really really hurts...even in threatening.  Oh and as far as elementalist being a beast I am sure he is.  I just will not play him.. and the necro.  They both have never step foot on any matches with 0 xp.    I just don't like them and won't play them because they are rude.

The groups I generally run with are very chatty (I think we scare some people off, when we open to public to fill an open space ), and we are prone to burst into song. When I am in PUGS though, I usually keep my mic off, till I come to a situation that needs an answer (i.e. are we getting TR's, is someone close by to res so-and-so - if the group gets separated, should we run the torch or take it slow? etc, etc...). Once I do that, it will sometimes prompt some chit chat. Which is rather nice. Usually.

Generally, we try and make newcomers to the group feel welcome, but they still may choose not to join the convo. Might be due to not having a mic, or not wanting/knowing how to use their mic. Often we set up a text chat to invite people to, since there are some that just don't do "mic". That actually works quite well. Though, I will always answer via mic, since typing and playing is like patting my head and rubbing my stomach at the same time.


(actually, I can do the stomach/head thing, but it seemed an apt analogy in theory. *shrug*)

Finally finished my Perilous Storm Dragons. Yup. Left that one sitting for roughly 8 months. *shameface*

Ok, I'm having a total brain fart this morning.  Taking a melee character through nightmare + walk softly trials and I keep getting one-shot by poison from deep stalkers or spiders in Stormcoast.  What resistance helps counter poison?

I could be way off, but I was always led to believe that there was no way to counteract the poison DOT (by way of stat resistance). However, since those are all ranged attacks, perhaps raising Ranged Defense would help.

If I am wrong about other resist stats helping, then I would also suspect (strangely ) Magic Defense. Mag def will help with overall elemental resistances, so maybe "poison" too.....?? *shrug*

Hopefully someone else will chime in with better/more info.

Got this game yesterday. MP was at first a huge selling point for me ( would of ve gotten the game anyway, cuz ITS AWESOME), however I liked the direction DA MP was taking. Any time I'm looking for one, its impossible to find a match. Is everyone already over DA MP? That would be a dissappointment for sure!

Don't forget to download the two free MP DLC's off of Origin. If you are having trouble finding lobbies, this could be the reason. Those two DLC's need to be installed, in order to find most active lobbies.

@Papa - Don't forget Skywatcher, from the Fallow Mire. (unless you don't do that map. *shrug*). Easy enough to get, and I like his little addition from the WT, when playing through JoH. "Skywatcher....you sly dog!"

I do self-imposed limitations, but I still sync the GN at Haven. I just don't allow myself to use anything above tier 2 schems, and tier 1 mats. My main reason for doing it in Haven, is just to get it out of the way....lots to sync up.

@Gilli - The Dalish Warrior schematic is actually tier 2, so that could be used prior to Skyhold, if you were limiting yourself during your Elf runs. (of course, if you are not playing a warrior, than you probably would have a hard time getting your hands on the Silverite needed to break the class restriction - before Skyhold, that is. *shrug*)

On my latest character, I have it on hard with trials. I let myself craft tier 3 schematics with tier 1 mats. Probably shouldn't have done that. It has made it easier than my normal + trial runs, with the self-imposed restrictions. Go figure.

I believe on coldie's singing... she was singing just the other day but she made up the songs!  I don't know about you singing though...
 
BTW, off topic, I tried to join you guys a few times.  But I got the same problem as I used to have with Gekko's game.   Got the infinite spinning circle and disconnect error.  I think it has to do with incompatible single player mod/plugin.   I think one of both of you must have installed some kind of single player mod in the last week or 2?

Oh yes. Ray sings too. But you may not have been with us, during a sing-a-long. Difference between a certain someone and us might be lack of libations. And a really loud radio. Oh, and we try and keep it short___er.

As for the mods....hrmmm. It shouldn't affect anyone but my own game. The mod isn't introduced into the server info, hence why you can't see the mods like I do on the screen. However, I admit - since I don't generally host - I can't be sure that there isn't a connection. Just can't personally see how it could create a problem.

Truth is, with or without mods, I have seen a lot more disconnects and CTD's, this past month. Speaking to others, they too have seen/experienced more issues as of late.

What? Aren't you forgetting about a certain singing player on the PC? You had to have run into him before. Of course, you have to like avenged sevenfold and Metallica to enjoy it

This is true. I just found that being able to spam a larger cloud with the use of Flask of Fire, much more efficient. The Hunter only allows one throw of TC, then cool down.

However, it is good that you pointed out there is another character you could use, if one wished.
 
 

I gave up on that after 1 match.    The cloud ticks like under 300 damage...it takes forever!  I am going to wait until I got like 2000 willpower and try again to see if it is any better LOL

lol! You are not wrong, that it can be a slow death, and I can completely understand someone not wanting to take the time. *nod* But, that is why you have TC upgraded, plus the passives to make it more effective, AND you do this in Routine. Dragging a number of baddies behind you, up to that top floor on Map 4, then gas-bombing them like crazy....trust me, it doesn't take too long. Each map is a little different though, on how quick you can clear it. And the different factions can be problematic as well. For example, if I am lucky enough to get that freebie TR right at the beginning of Map 1, this can be a useful room for grouping up the enemy. However, some factions don't/can't use the ladder (I always open up the top door). This can mean chasing down small groups or individual enemies. Chasing = time. Meh....it happens. *shrug*
