As few of you know I'm running a thread here but verbiage and personal comments have I decided to put here:

• Monkeytoes was contacted. Friday via email and today via phone. No response to the email yet, phone call went to the answering machine after ringing for a while.
• Samara's description could match. Only concern that I have is Commerce is 7 hours by foot away from NoHo. Jonny/Greg left without his wallet and ID. I'm not familiar with LA, but if there any services that offer car rides for free or give out free food might be worth looking into.
• Other things that might be worth looking into is the Monkeytoes office. He might have stopped by there and for all we know has either passed out there or stopped by to get some money/food. Though I can't find an address.
• I don't know enough about Bipolar disorder to comment on that (honestly I don't think you can truly understand it unless you live with it). I'm only specialized in ADHD. But I can guess that a manic person wandering all alone does not lead to great trails of thought.
• Check hotel records in LA. (unlikely if he hasn't got any money but IF he stopped by Monkeytoes he might have had some money hidden in the office)

Samara says she saw (possibly) Greg/Jonny Thursday evening as the sun was beginning to set so by that point he would've been wandering the streets for over 24 hours, given that he went missing early evening on Wednesday... in that amount of time it's possible that he could've covered a lot of ground by foot and walked it, alternatively he may have hitched a ride (the latter is baseless speculation though).

Samara, I think you should tweet at @Jeff_Rosie (the family friend that's asking for news regarding possible sighting of Greg/Jonny). Just ask him to add you to Twitter so that you can DM because it's important.

Commerce would be about 7 to 10 miles form his agent's office which is in WeHo (West Hollywood) and about 15 to 20 miles from his home so entirely possible for him top get there either via a driver, public transit or, on foot. Not far form MonkeyToes either. Definitely worth reporting, perhaps others in the area saw or even spoke to him, if it was him.

****, that's a point! Has anyone thought to actually ring Monkeytoes? There's a number on the website, if there's an office then he might be staying there? Maybe he or someone will pick up?

*Double edit* I called the number and it rang a while and then went to voicemail. Damn, worth a try.

I called. I got their voicemail. The missing persons department is open mon-fri 6am-5pm. No weekend hours. And no option to call another line to share tips or info. I left a message. I think I might have rambled a bit. At least I remembered to leave my number if they decide to ask for more details. I really wish I'd paid better attention now! It's rude to gawk at people and homeless get it aplenty so I was trying not to stare. But I recall almost nothing except vaguely where I was and that he looked like a scruffy, dingy version of Jonny. And he was sat on a bench, looking lost in some very intense thought. I couldn't recall what street I was on or what he wore! It was plain, I know that. And dirty - but not overly ratty. I dunno. I doubt it was him but now I'll always wonder.

You've done the right thing, hopefully they check their messages on the weekends.

It's possible that it may have been him, he went missing sometime around early evening on Wednesday so by the time you (potentially) saw him he would've been out on the streets for over 12 hours... who knows what he'd been doing in the meantime. If his recent tweets are anything to go by he's been very outdoorsy and opted to sleep under the stars in a field one night about a week or so ago, if that's what he's been doing since he went missing then that would explain the dirt.

I dunno where he was seen last. Haven't been able to catch up on it yet. But Commerce is a commercial industry suburb of LA. LOTS of warehouses there.

I believe that's in the Southeasten part of LA.

I can't truly say if it was. His beard looked like Jonny with unkempt scruff. I don't recall the clothes. They were plain. Jeans and t-shirt type of thing. I didn't get close enough. I just recall thinking he was a dead ringer (from what I could see) for Jonny if he was homeless. =/

You need to report it because it may have been him, even if you aren't 100% sure. Your information could be the difference between life or death, plus IF it is him then the area you saw him in might be of significance to his family who could potentially confirm if it really was him.

The thing that's killing me about Jonny's disappearance is that I saw a transient man in Commerce, CA Thursday night; and I thought to myself "Hey, he looks like Greg! I mean Jonny (still getting used to the name change)." Now I can't stop thinking - unlikely as it is - "What if it WAS him?"

Was it a strong likeness? I'd say report it on the off chance, so people can look in that area.

We're all rallying around on social media putting the signal out, there are people out there looking for him now too so hopefully he'll be found.

To shed further light on the current situation regarding Jonny's/Greg's whereabouts, at present his family and friends have no idea where he is and have no way of contacting him because he left his phone and wallet behind. He lasted tweeted yesterday (Thursday) linking to his Whosay account which was an audio post where he simply says: "Leave. Only. Vital. Energy" (= LOVE) which he originally posted a few days prior but it's possible that the tweet had been scheduled in a queuing service. Apparently when he was last seen he was having a manic bipolar episode and hasn't been taking medication or seeing a doctor for it.

I'm monitoring things on social media so if anything else comes up I'll check back in.

*Edit* I suppose I should throw in a disclaimer and say that at the moment all we have to go on is one guy's word, he's definitely a friend of Jonny's/Greg's family BUT that doesn't mean his disappearance is true... I messaged Jonny/Greg to let him know the situation a few hours ago but I've yet to hear anything back from him, which is worrying.

*Update* It's been confirmed that Jonny/Greg is indeed missing. If any of you happen to have contact with him over social media or if you're in the LA area and run into him call the LAPD and ask to speak to Detective Palmer on  213-996-1800 and reference the case number: 161511285.

I may not be on too much today or more like I will be lurking since I nearly chopped off the tip of my finger and it is rather hard to type. At least it wasn't my left hand or I would had been screwed. I apologize for the OT, but I thought I should inform everyone!

Ouch! I done that to one of my fingers when a pint glass blew up in my hand at work a few years back... still don't have full feeling back in it yet. :-S
