I found that out tonight when I played it for 8 hours nonstop. 

 

 lol yeah I still find that i can play ME3 for a long period of time too and I don't ever feel bored.

has it really been 2 years already? Whats more crazy is my inability to stop playing this game's multiplayer

holy crap hey all! I was part of the original Bronze effect when it founded.(Mystical) so glad to see this place got recreated on the new site.

 

I was away for awhile and when I noticed that the old forum was dead and this new site was up I thought bronze effect was gone.

I may have to try this out when it releases. Seems like it would be a fun adventure for a good price.

This game will always have a special place for me. I know many hated the XIII series and say it "ruined" final fantasy but it was my first FF game that I played myself. I've watched friends play the other ones so I'm not completely unfamiliar with the games. But with FFXIII I got the firsthand experience of playing a JRPG and I really liked it.

 

I'm usually bad at playing RPG games and finishing them in a timely manner (especially if they require hours on end to beat) but with XIII I couldn't stop playing. Everything from the music, story, and characters I enjoyed. As far as it being my first JRPG I did pretty well beating the bosses in this game.Most of the cannon fodder enemies don't require much skill but when you can no longer rely on the auto battle system you really see FFXIII shine. The epic boss fights were really what made this game fun and exciting. The ending was also very satisfying to me as well. I like games where you spend a long time investing and the ending doesn't feel tacked on or super quick. FFXIII felt like a whole package and a good introduction game to me for FF ... and yeah I know plenty will say otherwise but this is just my opinion. Being a fan of FFXIII is not really a popular choice but I won't dislike a game because it's not popular by the majority.

ok I'll start:

 

FFXIII-2 was too non-linear for me and the story destroyed what XIII built up to in the happy ending it had. I didn't despise the game and eventually beat it but the dramatic change from XIII to XIII-2 was too much for me. Finding those silly artifacts to be able to progress was maddening. So much time playing hide and seek to find the right portals to advance got really annoying. I got the game on day 1 and it took me two years to finally feel like beating it lol

 

Then we have Cauis. Good boss fights but also frustrating in the fact no matter how good you are he can cancel stagger instantly and you have to start all over and he buffs himself while de-buffing your whole party in the process. I never understood people who said the final boos fight of XIII was harder than Caius. I found the final boss in XIII easy compared to this dude who just cancels every move you do then does a million damage instantly.I enjoyed XIII way more than -2 in the end because of this. Sure XIII was too linear for most people but I liked the fact I could continue advancing forward in the story and not have to run all over the place in alternate paradoxes trying to figure out the random way to keep going forward.I beat XIII twice within 2 years and it took me that long to feel like getting XIII-2.

 

I won't even go into how XIII-2 ruined the wonderful ending of XIII either. XIII-2 had a depressing ending but what made me more mad is how Serah and Claire were reunited at the end of XIII and then comes XIII-2 and is like [Spoiler alert] "NOPE Lighting fell into Valhalla, and is doomed, Serah  dies in the end and Lightning is frozen in a crystal state while the world is consumed by chaos". Gee thanks XIII-2 you really made that 40 hour trip so worth it.

 

I'm not really ranting over the fact XIII-2 was made. I love the XIII series as a whole, just mad how it was done. XIII-2 could have been better imo.

I've always enjoyed the XIII series. Lightning Returns is really different from XIII and XIII-2 but it's a lotta fun. I'm so close to the end of the game. Will be nice to finish off the series finally.

 

The combat and ability to customize Lightning or I should play as her the whole game is always what I wanted so it's nice nod off to the fans for sure.

thanks! I was wondering where the link went. I never would have found that lol. Sad to see the HQ is no longer easily accessible as part of the new forum. Also sad to see groups go, I don't think the one I enjoyed most is around anymore.

So this is my first time on the new forum, with this forum change I've noticed a few features I used to use are now gone. For example where does one find the Mass Effect 3 N7 HQ for stats now? Also have groups been removed as well?

First time for me seeing this new bioware forum. I was also wondering about a dark theme. Not keen on bright white. I like the old dark version for sure.

It's the little stuff like the geth prime's drone that can stun you multiple times.

That alone messes me up and gets me killed more ten anything else lol

glad to see so many people with huge hours logged. Across my Xbox and pc I've got a good 400+ hours easily.

Still not bored and never enjoyed a co-op multiplayer this much before. Glad to say I've been playing ME3 since the first day it came out. I'll be here until that sad day EA shuts the servers down.

The player who is known for playing the FQE and FQI the best.

Also clutch getting through a wave after everyone is downed.

I just buy my stuff whenever and that usually deals with amazon.com year round,since they have sales all the time on stuff.

I avoid black Friday like the plague. Stay inside, stay warm and play games/watch movies.

FFXIII-3 is different for sure but I love Lighting as a character and want to see the story be completed. It's literally the only game I've pre-ordered in a long time. It will be sad when it all ends though so I'm fine having to wait a few more months for it to come out.

I must be really lucky. I play on Xbox and pc and both platforms I see lots of competent players in gold willing to revive and get to wave 11. Very few times in random gold matches do things go really wrong for me nowadays

I STILL don't have a Quarian Female Engineer for pc ... I do on my xbox but still none for pc

oh yeah I play both Xbo 360 and pc and have an easy time finding matches on both. Even like 3am time when I am able to play most often.

I use wasd to move around, R for reload, F for melee, my middle, right, and extra button on my mouse for powers. Then I use shift for aiming and space for actions and reviving. It's worked out well and done several gold matches flawlessly as I've started to pc game more and play lots of Mass Effect 3 MP these past few months.

It's hard for me in fps's or 3rd person shooters on pc to use the right mouse click to hold down aiming while trying to fire with left. Feels weird and I kept zooming in and out so use shift instead.

well this is lame, I can't have my steam overlay anymore and I used to be able to. I have to play in the dark not knowing who is online and they can't talk to me ...

It started the same way for me and now I don't even think about the pc controls at all. I've been playing ME3 on xbox since day one but never did any shooters on pc. I saw ME3 for $9 a few months ago and decided what the heck. Took awhile to adjust to the controls using a keyboard and mouse but really you just have to keep logging hours. Eventually you'll start to memorize the keys and not fumble all over the place.

First time I got disconnected I had just carried by my entire team in a silver match on Wave 10 BOTH objectives with a lvl 14 female engineer. I do that often on xbox 360 but still new to pc it was incredible .... then wave 11 server disconnected. I got nothing earned from all that work =(

Second time found another good team, we got to wave 7 it was just me and one dude alive in an epic battle, server disconnected again =(

Guess I'll play another night, I was having a good run too.

that would be lame if they shut the ME3 servers offline forever, way too soon. This game has only been out for a year.

 Been playing since launch. 2 main accounts on Xbox 360 and a new one on PC so I can play with my pc freinds.

Yeah I kinda like ME3 MP lol
