#19878846 MEHEM - the Mass Effect (3) Happy Ending Mod - No more star kid, no more deat...

Posté par CommandBenX sur 10 novembre 2015 - 07:45 dans Fan Creations

I decided I couldn't wait until my next playthrough to see your ending. That and I wanted to make sure the mod was working and there were no problems. It worked perfectly, and it transitioned seamlessly into CEM, which was especially nice.

First, I wanted to say that you did an excellent job creating new scenes. That can't be very easy to do, so I commend you for that. I also had a big grin on my face the whole time. I really liked it. It was definitely a new, and much more fun experience, while still managing to make me really misty-eyed at the memorial (which, no matter how hard I try, I can never stop myself from crying over). However, I admit that the shining moment is that one second of Shepard hugging his love interest and looking him or her in the face as they smile at him sympathetically. It's what really makes this mod pure gold. I know it's just borrowed from the Synthesis ending, but that moment in the Synthesis ending was a powerful one, so it works for me.

I don't want to be too harsh on you, because I can tell you worked so hard on this, and for what it's worth, the work you've done is amazing. It's a lot more than what I could accomplish. I do love the scene you've written to evac Shepard from the Citadel, but it still sort of detracts from the ending, and there's really only one reason for this: your voice acting isn't bad, but I believe the quality of the recording makes it difficult to ignore. I'm not going to hate on you for it, because good studio mics aren't cheap, and you're not putting hundreds of dollars into this. I don't expect BioWare quality game scenes to come from a fan-made mod, so don't worry, I wasn't expecting anything immensely graceful. I still appreciated what you did. But it does make it harder to consider it cohesive with the ending's story. It's a great addition to the game that made me smile, regardless.

All in all, I like both your ending and the Extended Cut endings. So I think I might combine them with JohnP's Version B (still opting to skip the Catalyst because **** that thing). I might switch it to Version A if I decide I want to continue seeing the other "Shepard dies" endings, but I've seen them both already, and in this case, I think once is enough. And there's always Youtube. Without you, none of this would have been possible, so don't assume I'm not grateful. I'm surprised at how much I enjoyed it-- and that's coming from someone who likes the original endings (for the most part). I found that following Shepard's rescue, I was in a much sunnier mood.

With all that said, I want to acknowledge the CEM following the modded happy ending. I have to admit, that made Citadel much more fun to play, and I didn't think it would have that much of an impact. I was actually excited to get into it, and their lighthearted, chipper attitudes throughout the DLC, in my opinion, made a lot more sense when knowing they're just coming back to the Citadel to take "time off" and hang out with each other. In the middle of the Reaper War, their joyful talks were fun, but they also seemed out of place. This is definitely how I want to go about it from now on, because it was just great, and perfect. It made me want to experience Citadel for the first time all over again.

So with JAM-B and CEM both, I'd say that's a pretty awesome Mass Effect conclusion. I didn't think such small changes would affect how satisfied I'd be, but surprisingly, I think it's preferable. I'm excited to go through another playthrough with these installed. Definitely seeing them with Kaidan next time.

So thanks for making it possible, and well done!

(And happy belated N7 Day)

Hi, I'm glad you like the Mod. I'm actually the guy who voices the Marine at the Citadel Shepard Evac Scene. While I believe the Quality sounds great (I also filtered/edited my Dialogue to sound like it was coming from inside of a Helmet, while keeping it as lore accurate as possible) which might also have resulted in the Dialogue sounding weird to you. So I can understand where you're coming from, another reason could have been that when I recorded the Dialogue for the Mod approximately Two years ago, I didn't have a Top Tier/Quality Mic/Recording Setup, That doesn't mean it was a low tier Mic/Recording Setup it was about Medium High. Since then However I have a whole section of my Apartment, Setup and designated for Recording/Streaming/Podcasting etc. with High Quality Studio Mics, a Sound Dampening Chamber, and Adobe Audition CC 2015. So if MrFob ever decides/wants me to re-record my Lines over again, or record new lines with my High Quality recording gear for Future Releases of MEHEM. I'd be more then happy to Oblige as it was an Incredible Experience for me to be able to put myself into the Mass Effect universe (which is one of my All Time favorite Franchises/Universes) and be the one who Rescues Shepard.

Don't read if you haven't finished the DLC. Go play it now or watch streams then come back.

Spoiler

I completely agree with you! I even asked Patrick Weekes on Twitter if Dagna could make the Inquisitor a Metal, Lyrium, Runic, Mechanical arm/hand like Ash's from Army of Darkness and he replied back, "Anything is Possible"

I was wondering, does your MEHEM include the Emails an other non-ending specific changes/additions that are included in MrFob's MEHEM?

#19300922 Citadel Epilogue Mod

Posté par CommandBenX sur 18 juin 2015 - 02:21 dans Fan Creations

Hmmm, that's not a bad idea. I did tell myself I just had to be done with the mod for my own sanity. On the other hand, I get bored playing games and preferring creating stuff; so who knows.

I think it would be possible to do that. I'm not an expert on that, and one concern I have is how to pull the animation for LIs who do board the Normandy and use that for Miranda instead. Believe it or not, I really am not a super great modder with me3explorer, (arrays are currently kicking my butt) so I'd have to look into it.

All that to say; I probably won't do it but your suggestion makes sense from a narrative standpoint and I can't say I'd never do it.

Okay, Thanks for considering it. I really hope It someday becomes a reality.

Also If I were deciding which person to remove from the LI's that board the Normandy so I could fit in Miranda. I would replace Traynor because In my head *Unless She's Being Romanced* I'd imagine that she'd be prepping/running diagnostics on the Normandy getting it ready for it's next mission instead of reminiscing with the main crew/squad at the platform.

Hey Deager,

After doing a Miranda Romance playthrough and using the your Citadel Romance mod (It was freaking amazing, and touching). I was wondering could you make an alternate version of the mod/dialogue/animations where Miranda goes with Shepard and crew as they head onto the Normandy instead of staying behind?

Posté par CommandBenX sur 17 décembre 2014 - 04:34 dans Story, Campaign, and Characters

Awesome find CommandbenX!!!

See, this is what makes me mad about crap like this, it's clearly a bug and Bioware doesn't even acknowledge it.

Good job!

Nice job! It's even more bugged than the one I found. At least now we can stop tearing our hair out looking for it. We know where it is, if not how to get to it.

Nice find CommandBenX!

What myusha said as well. You can also get off the horse next to the wall but it literally just spits you out on the other side.

Thanks!!! I'm glad everyone is enjoying it. I've also been able to get up to the cliff behind the invisible walls and I have tried every method to warp into the cliff with no luck unfortunately as it is encased in solid rock. Trying to use the horse dismount trick just teleports you through the cliff to the other side. So unless someone can invent a NoClip cheat/hack it looks like we'll have to wait for Bioware to officially patch it. Best of Luck to anyone else attempting to get through though.

I did it Eternal Glory and Fame is Mine!!! I've found the Location of the Bugged/Hidden 12th Mosaic Piece. Turns out it was actually in the Wolf Den near Redcliffe Farms as stated in the Prima Official Guide, It's just hidden inside of a cliff. Unfortunately, I was unable to reach it I was just able to find the Location. Hopefully knowing the location helps, and if someone is able to access the location please share how you did it. Thanks!

#17802012 Dragon Age: Inquisition PC 30fps Cutscene Framerate Lock Fix

Posté par CommandBenX sur 19 novembre 2014 - 05:41 dans General Discussion (NO Spoilers)

Hey Everyone, Here are the tutorials that I created to fix the 30fps Cutscene/Dialogue Framerate lock for the PC Version of Dragon Age: Inquisition. I hope they help!

My Video Tutorial:

https://www.youtube....h?v=Q70DxlW0nb0

Desktop Shortcut Tutorial:

Step 1: Go to where you installed Dragon Age: Inquisition and right click on the main exe then make a shortcut

Step 2: Move the shortcut to your desktop

Step 3: Optional Rename Shortcut to Dragon Age Inquisition

Step 4: Right click on shortcut select Properties

Step 5: In the Target Directory Box navigate all the way to the end press the Spacebar and Paste

-GameTime.MaxSimFps 60 -GameTime.ForceSimRate 60+

Step 6: Click Apply, Launch and Enjoy!

Origin Tutorial:

Step 1: Boot up Origin

Step 2: Right Click on Dragon Age: Inquisition and select Game Properties

Step 3: Paste

-GameTime.MaxSimFps 60 -GameTime.ForceSimRate 60+

Step 4: Click Ok then Click Play and Enjoy!

Important! Make sure you have the latest Nvidia & AMD drivers installed as this can help eliminate other problems not related to the Fix.

Bugs & Fixes: (Will be updated when Issues and Fixes arise)

Will cause problems with Multiplayer, To use fps fix: run the game from the modified shortcut and to play Multiplayer mode: run the game through Origin (without the command line).

Applying the fix before character creation can sometimes make your character end up loading into a fiery rocky area with no escape after the Cutscene. You can avoid this by either skipping the Cutscene, or by enabling the fix after you create your character. Last Resort Go into my documents and delete the saves/profiles and then start a new game and it should be fixed

Posté par CommandBenX sur 18 novembre 2014 - 06:38 dans General Discussion (NO Spoilers)

Does it cause any issues like Marrah Darrah said it would? Has anyone tested this extensively?

Also, where would I put this command if I were to use this.

Nope, no issues detected so far and I played for a total of twelve hours yesterday. Everything runs at a smooth 60fps, the animations are smooth and the dialogue is synced perfectly. Try the fix yourself and see the difference it's completely reversible if you don't like it.

Dear God fix that screen clutter!!! It's called FOLDERS!

My Desktop was disorganized because I was in a state of Desktop organization when I discovered the Fix, so I dropped everything to make the video as fast as possible and then share it with everyone. It's way cleaner now!

Can someone edit this video to remove all that fluff nonsense conversation we don't need. This video should be a max of 15 seconds not sure why I just wasted 3 minutes listening to some amateur review of it.

Not Cool Bro! I tried to be as informative as possible in the Video while keeping the time under 3 minutes to try to help inform people about the fix and why the fix works. Saying the the game is beautiful a couple of times during the video is not reviewing it, (Plus it was my first time creating a video so I'm sorry If it seemed Amateur, but look at any famous YouTuber their early stuff is Amateur and not very good but as the continue to produce videos they get better.) Thanks for watching the video and I'm glad the fix worked for you.

Most likely connected to Korea, from what I've seen they get the game the earliest.

Also setting up a VPN is simple, if you downloaded and installed the VPN client + plugin  from the site provided at the link given in the OP then all you need to do is start up the client, double click on "VPN Gate Public VPN Relay Servers" then select one of the Korean servers and connect, all done.

Okay Thanks! I didn't see the OP's Post before

Does this mean it's available at 1am on the 17th, as in, in about 18 hours? Can i start the Great Inquisition Bake-off with full understanding that I will not waste 10 strawberry lemonade cupcakes and a whole pan of brownies by making them 12-24 hours too early?

What time zone/region is your VPN set to, and how did you set up your VPN. I'm kinda Noobish when it comes to these things. Thanks!

#16829168 MEHEM - the Mass Effect (3) Happy Ending Mod - No more star kid, no more deat...

Posté par CommandBenX sur 27 juin 2014 - 07:24 dans Fan Creations

Have to say it's a brilliant work, though to be honest it doesn't work for some of my shepards I've created, namely the renegades. Even though destroy was the best I often chose Control since one of my shepards was similar to TIM. Abliet, I still installed it and enjoyed it very much, plus with CEM it makes ME3 what I wanted..

However, you said that the music used in the original didn't fit the tone of the scene and you were looking for something else, so I was wondering if you might want to use this (Arrival to Earth from Transformers) as a substitute and adapt it, probably from start to about 3:00 in, maybe the whole piece if you can split it right:

I don't know if you're subject to copy-rights at that point. If so, is there a tutorial or instruction on how to edit the video's audio myself so I can use this music piece? IMO it fits perfectly in a form of action while still retaining some of the original's feeling, and this specific piece is awesome.

EDIT: I timed this myself between this video and a video from the high ems ending --> from when the crucible first started firing to when it went back to the normandy's galaxy map, and the timing worked out awesomely.

I can suggest other pieces since I know some good music pieces myself.

Anyway, keep up the good work. I'm glad to see someone do this and do it right, though one additional question: When shepard is crawling up to the panel before collapsing, he says the "I don't see the... Joker, go!"... Could you maybe reduce it to just Joker go? It's kind of an awkward and obvious transition between the two lines, but that's just an immersion issue for me :)

Thanks.

I would also like to have this music implemented. If you find a way make sure to let me know  :D

Hey McBlade I'm glad you enjoyed my vocal talents. I'm a huge Bioware and Mass Effect fan and It has been a honor working with great people such as MrFob and his excellent team. I put a lot of hard work, time, and multiple retakes into getting the Voice Overs just right. I really enjoy voice acting and I hope I can provide my vocal talents for more projects including future MEHEM Releases.
