I approve of using blood magic. I disapprove of using demons. Demons always want something.

I'll wait a couple of days or weeks, at least.

See how many hours the game is, how many bugs need ironing, how the side quest content measures up and how much RNG I have to put up with.

I'll get it eventually but if it's DAI side quest and RNG all over again, I'm waiting for a few DLC's to come out first.

DAI must have sold a little well because the game of the year edition was made.

DA2 didn't get an ultimate edition because retailers weren't willing to have one (probably because sales were so low). At least retails took DAI GOTY edition openly.

I'm happy they break up with the PC if things don't go there way.

Recruit him. The Wardens needs all the men they can get. Also the Warden says it best:

"All my friends have tried to kill me".

The idiotic comes to kill me becasue his traitorous paw got what was coming to him. I think I recruited him in one game only ever.  Whomever wrote him did an awful awful job of giving nay reasonable player a single reason to include him in the group, much like Zevran before him.

Or the person that wrote him knew exactly what they were doing.

They wanted some people to think he's a complete ******* or traitor-in-waiting (like Zevran could be) so you would get rid of him. Only to later realize you're one rogue short and those chests aren't opening unless you run the hill for Sigrun. Plus he's the best DPS in Awakening if you spec him right.

Not every character is written to be a instant suck up to the glorious super cool awesome main character.

His approval is really easy to get. Just do that fetch quest called "Memories of the grey". You get a whooping total of +200 approval with them all collected.

How does one max Leliana's approval without romancing her?

The conversation options give you just so little and bringing her along for goody-two-shoes quests isn't enough on its own.

Give her gifts. Especially andraste's grace. You can find one in Redcliffe village.

Yup and it make sense since I do believe that the elven-only armor in the game either belongs to the Dalish or to the ancient elves. As Sera dislikes both, it would make sense that she'd not be at all interested in wearing armor that belongs to or signifies a connection to any of the two.

Well Solas doesn't like the dalish either and Varric hates dwarven stuff but I don't see them rejecting to wear the good exclusive race stuff.

Sera needs to get with the system. I'm the Inquisitor, so play dress up!

Over here, most people don't like or care about Kaidan (Not my opinion but I've seen it a lot). Over there, they love Kaidan and bash Ashley all the time.

They better still keep archives. I like to see the DAO forums from time to time to see how people acted when it first came out. It looked like a simpler time then.

I don't think Alistair shows up at all in DAI if you exiled him.

It's not so bad. Have you seen the fallout community lately? Now that's toxic.

And I enjoy the Exalted Plains a lot. But I have skipped some quests there such as ransacking the Elven graves in all of my three complete campaigns. And as mentioned, these minor quests are optional, so pick and choose depending on the character. Some may not bother with helping the Orlesians or Elves while others may wish to aid them as much as possible.

Options are a good thing....

Oh, believe me. I don't want to choose 'em ever but after a while you forget what each "!" mark means and you accidentally press it and before you know, it's in your journal and map.

Also options are good but when it's the same thing being repeated a billion time like "Burn the body" side quest, you can just tell these side quests exist for quantity sake.

If the map was smaller, it would be more bearable. Not all DAO/2 side quest were fun either but they took like 5-10 minutes so I was over them before I even noticed how tedious they could be.

Exalted plains had so much potential. What if you got to side with Celene troops and attack Gaspard troops? Or vice versa. What if this open world area affected how either potential rulers (Gaspard and Celene) perceive you in the winter palace main mission? So much potential... instead we just get more demons and freeman of the cannon fodders fighting us. 

So why are you doing it? Those quests aren't mandatory.

I like completing stuff. Ain't half-arsing the game. Plus, they'll be all over my map. I like my map clean!

I'm currently my on 3rd play through of DAI (Man, this game takes long to finish) and I have to say this:

F**k the Exalted plain.

It's just repetitive, boring and  the land of fetching.

Get 10 caches! Get 7 notes! Get 4 glyphs! Burn 2 billion bodies!

Who thought this was a good idea? Just go around and collect random stuff from the floor?? So fun! /s

Best companions.

Best final mission in any Bioware game.

Best side quests (which is 80% of the game, lol).

Only takes around 20 hours to finish.

Pretty easy reason why. I played that game a million times. Not every game needs to be "OMG!! 100 hours of (boring) content!".

Because you get the whole "oppressed" role. It's nice to see someone who's treated like garbage rise to save a kingdom owned by the very people who oppress them.

A human doing it for a human kingdom is just normal and nothing special.

Agreed. Love playing evil. I don't understand those "I can't go through with it" and "I feel so bad afterwards :(" posts. I find most evil choice to be hilarious. Especially the victim's reaction before they die.

In the wise words of the Warden PC:

Because he's the villain now. And deep down, all villains are stupid.

KotoR is in the running for the game with the single worst combat I have ever seen in my books.

 

It's so bad I can't play through the game a second time even though I found everything else really well done. I couldn't even get through KotoR 2 because it features the same combat.

Really? I'd rather play that than ME1 gameplay (if you can even call that "gameplay") any day.

KOTOR is pretty simple.

1) Get Jedi Powers

2) One hit everything.

But how can anyone top the great Diana Aller? It's all down hill from there, folks.

Man, some of these choices you people are asking for. You might as well ask Bioware to spend their money on a castle.
