#18795692 Mike Laidlaw Eurogamer Interview (March 13th)

Posté par Ryriena sur 15 mars 2015 - 02:00 dans General Discussion (NO Spoilers)

I agree that it seems to be a publishers decision rather than a developers, I really doubt Bioware would want too not make a working game or cut content from the game. For example the scars, aren't in the last generation console and I can not understand why this is the case, since I can see Cassandra's scar very well, in fact, on my 360's. I don't understand why this wasn't included in the last gen console

I seriously think this was put up as a way to push players to pay for a newer system, even though some gamers can't afford that new system. So pushing people to pay for an newer console is the wrong choice for developers and publisher alike. Heck, for me this game cost me about 70.00 which is basically a day's and a half of day of pay. Thankfully, I used the Christmas money I had gotten and also that I had saved for my PS4 and I had enough for DAI on the PS4.

Time travel plots give me a headache. This is why in my fan fiction I think I will rewrite this quest.

Love the story. Male mage here... never got far with the former Templar crush though :D

She died too, but at the conclave.

He died in her arms, which made her will lessen a bit, so they sent her to the conclave to keep her from making to much trouble for the loyal templars. My girl got pretty far and even lost her innocenes to Alex. She even tried her best to heal him but his wounds were to severe for her mediocre healing abilities. His last words to her were that he loved her, when cleaning out his things she found a small gold ring in a box with a note of what he was going to say to her. He was planing on asking her to marry him and helping her escape sadly fate steped in and now she is married to Cullen and gave him three boys
Based loosesly off my late grand mother I made her my first since she had only died a few weeks before DA:I came out and was already making a character for her memory.

I just came up with more backstory for my canon inquisitor. She is the proud daughter of a loving family that adored her even while as a mage she became quite skilled in fire spells and even creating her own style of Firestorm which is a huge twister of Fire Of course, at around the age of sixteen she meets a young man named Alex who is a Templar recurit from town and they fall in love with one another.

At age eighteen, she has her Harrowing with Alex being the Templar that would take the killing blow, if anything went wrong. Which he later tells her was nerve racking for him to think about in the end.

However, around age 26 she kills the First enchanter to get Ostwick into the war, since she believes being netural is not working.

Sadly, during Ostwick uprising she watched in horror as the man she loved Alex is killed by some of his fellow templars while protecting a group of Mages and her from Templars in the circle.

He dies in her arms, and somewhat lessen her resolve to fight. So they send her to the conclave supposedly, as a netual observer and from their stuff kind of happens.

So what do people think?

However, even as a noble you could be not use too balls, since, some Noble familes did not attend balls a lot, due to things like sickness or having business else where at the time. I do think if he is from a noble line it is probably that his family has the title of lady or lord, which is mostly a off shoot of the higher chains. They normly did not have balls all the time, and only on certain occasions.

Posté par Ryriena sur 12 mars 2015 - 11:34 dans Story, Campaign, and Characters

My canon is female mage human, so I am doing the story wrong, because I like the fact my mage gave my characters people a chance to make life better for them in the long run. I am suppose to kill Hawke in the fade to make the story make sense, along with saving Celene. This is why I despise story plotlines that defurge from a default storyline. Because you have to do certain choices for them to make sense. She saved Celene but killed a bunch of people at the party  but Braila is exiled with Gaspard alive to make sure she keeps her promise to us. She also saved Areila Hawke whom did romanced Fenris, which I hated that she left for the Warden stronghold afterwards. Since I had to find reasons as to why she would endanger her unborn child inside her to go to the stronghold, afterward, I left Stroud in the fade.

Although, my inqusitior romanced Cullen because it fit her personality, and the fact her former lover was a Templar in Ostwick.

He was killed in the uprising protecting her and a group of Mages with her from other templars after they disbanded. That's my default world and I am sticking to it.

Did DA2 actually present any examples of sexism?

Ser Arlik raping woman with the threat of tranquility, or the fact Donic calls Aveline if she is not married to him a ******. That's little peice of sexism is saying a woman can't garner respect without a man behind her, although, I still liked the quest because it's cute how Aveline reacts to Donic. Or the fact you here of woman Mages being beating and whipped but that just dialogs you here from the woman Mages in the gallows, so it's not directed at the personal character.

#18765752 Player Hatred of Fiona

Posté par Ryriena sur 10 mars 2015 - 10:56 dans General Discussion (Spoilers)

Tranquility has been used wrongly in the past looking at the fact Meredith useded against Mages that spoke out against her abuses, or for that matter Arlik using it to rape woman.

It's been said the rite of annulment has already been misused by someone in the tower age, and was covered up.

#18756352 Are Biowares Devs into conspiracy theories or something.....

Posté par Ryriena sur 08 mars 2015 - 10:52 dans General Discussion (NO Spoilers)

For me the only conspiracy, I actually think could be possible would be the JFK assassination, and the ufo conspircy. Now that is out of the way anything is possible. It would not suprise me in least that's afew on the bioware's team would be familiar with these conspiracies, since these pop culture conspiracies that I have loathed somewhat.

#18755775 Does anyone find it odd that...

Naughty Paragon...
I missed that detail, but would LOVE if it's really Anders, but only with one condition: I'll have my chance to stab him. Again... and again...

Psychopath much just saying!

However, I laughed a bit when she said he was fond of cats, because my mind wondered to him too. Although, my Hawke is alive and romanced him. I would hate that my hawke was thrown away to make him Archon.

#18741826 Circle Finances

Posté par Ryriena sur 06 mars 2015 - 06:29 dans General Discussion (Spoilers)

You mean the Chantry that does nothing to prevent the mages from leaving, to the point that the Templars had to dissolve the Nevarran Accords and declare themselves seperate and independent once again in order to prosecute their war on mages?

Certainly there are many in the Chantry that aren't happy with the way things have turned out, but that's a matter of Faith rather than economics. The Chantry gets nothing, monetarily, from the Circles.

You do realize that the Templar's are the former military arm of the Chantry, and thus are apart of the chantry higherarcy.

Oh you mean the Chantry, whom basicly allowed the mages the right to vote on disloving the circles loving the circle based on the laws they had at the time. It was the templars that are the military arm of the Chantry that caused the war.

Keep saying they don't get any money from them, since apparently they do.

Posté par Ryriena sur 06 mars 2015 - 03:05 dans General Discussion (Spoilers)

Or she didn't know she was (indirectly) serving a Darkspawn?

She had met The Architect before I would think she would know Corynphus was a darkspawn. He was there on the attack on Haven, and there during March too Haven.

#18740325 Circle Finances

Posté par Ryriena sur 06 mars 2015 - 02:58 dans General Discussion (Spoilers)

The Chantry provides food, clothing, and qurters. However, the circles also give money back to the Chantry through the use of tiths and such thing like that, since all circles have a place of worship for the workers and mages. I would assume they would gather tiths from blessings, items being sold, ect. The Circles are chantry controlled and thus must get some revenue in return from them, I mean why in the world would the Chantry be so upset that the mages rebelled.
