#17908822 Possible bug with naming? Not sure...

On PS3. This is the only game I've noticed it on, but both for character names and names of items I've crafted, I'm unable to put spaces in between words. I've tried... I think everything. Normally, making a space is just the triangle button, but it's not there.

On the other hand, I don't know if this is something you can actually fix...

#17907861 Your favorite companion so far?

Cassandra at number one, taking me by surprise! Followed by Varric and Dorian.

And I know Cullen isn't a companion, but I was extremely, pleasantly surprised by how his development went!

#17902528 Red Templars on the Storm Coast? (mild spoilers)

Currently level 15, just finished Adamant/the Fade, but still no luck...

EDIT: Finally got it after finishing Varric's destroy 12 red lyrium so-and-so's, so this worked out... I just don't understand why it triggered so much earlier in my first playthrough. Oh, well!

#17897435 Red Templars on the Storm Coast? (mild spoilers)

Ahh, I've already done Cullen's quests...

#17897202 Red Templars on the Storm Coast? (mild spoilers)

Heya. On my second playthrough, and I cannot get this mission to appear on the war table? In my first playthrough, I got this mission without needing to finish Varric's destroy red lyrium quest or "Well, ****". In the main quest, I've just finished Adamant and still nothing on the board.

Any thoughts on how to trigger it?

#17897193 Blackwall is missing (SPOILERS)

Did manage to find him again! He was outside of the stables chopping wood. Though his icon didn't point there...

#17852730 Blackwall is missing (SPOILERS)

I think this happened during or after "Here Lies the Abyss" (after the attack on the Warden stronghold/Fade adventure), and Blackwall is not there. His icon is there. Game dialogue indicates he's still around. But I go to the stables, and he is not there. Empty space where his icon says he is.

If it matters, I'm on PS3.

#17852670 Your favorite companion so far?

I was really surprised at how my opinions were so different from how  I expected I'd like them - almost always, if I decide I'm going to like them, I do, and I don't like I'll them, then I don't. But DAI, yeah, have been thrown!

I thought I would really like Bull, Sera, and Solas. Yeeeeah, not as much as I thought I would! Solas is... this might be funny to say, I find him kind of intolerant... or smug? haha. Sometimes I  Sera is also REALLY rigid in her thinking, and everything is super black and white for her - she can be p funny tho, she's made me laugh. And Bull... I dunno. He just makes me uncomfortable.

On the flip side, I ADORE Cass and Cole and Cullen (and wow their names all start with C) and Dorian and Vivienne and Blackwall - either I thought they were going to boring or I straight out just dislike them, but no, I love them to pieces. Dorian and Vivi, in particular, I liked them instantly and I wasn't expecting that. (Although, for how much I like Cole, he doesn't really like me - I must work on that.)

#17585551 Are you a fan of DAI's Soundtrack (Trevor Morris)? Or did you prefer DAO/...

love the new main theme. So far liking Morris' stuff, hoping it turns out more memorable than the first two games.

#17563735 Dedicating the whole month of November to Dragon age

Nah, will be filling my time with other games. Insulates from the inevitable burnout with one thing alllll the time.

#17561973 You guys who's going to get DA:I On ps3 or Xbox 360

PS3. Unconcerned with graphical differences. It'll be close enough, I know I won't be able to tell the difference. (I won't be getting a PS4 for another few years, there is nothing on the console I want that is not also on PS3. Literally no reason to drop $400 just yet.)

#17557401 Auto assign atribute points to avoid OP characters?

And yet the great number of things we DO have control over upgrading our character and their stats/abilties isn't enough?? Seriously?? Everyone is acting like this game limitation totallyyyy removes all of our choices. I just cannot with y'all.

#17557371 Auto assign atribute points to avoid OP characters?

Diablo 3 must be your favorite game then.

Never played.

Seriously, there are still a bunch of subclasses with different foci and abilties even within one class, it's not even like they're taking choices away. I seriously do not understand the complaints.

#17557322 Auto assign atribute points to avoid OP characters?

I always feel cheated when all the classes can equip the same things/level the same stats. It just feels like, what's even the point of having different classes in that case? I much prefer it this way. Gives me way more incentive to actually try all the classes, for one.

#17555798 The Dragon Age Keep (No Save Game Importing)

Even though the people on the Dragon Age Keep twitter said they were off for the night, I keep refreshinggggg looking for that notice of "hey you can sign in now!", haha.

#17555504 PS3-can you hear the in-party banter?

Did you have the older PS3 or a new one? I have an older one (got it when it first came out.)

I have no idea if that has anything to do with it or not; just find it odd that some PS3 owners apparently experienced it and others didn't.

Oh, shoot, I actually don't know. It's not one of the first few released models, but I've had it for like... five years? So... kind of old?

#17554996 PS3-can you hear the in-party banter?

No, I never had that issue.

#17554222 Vivienne's opinions on rebel mages (maybe spoilers)

I really liked Vivienne in that video today; she seems funny and on point. That said, I definitely support the mage rebellion, so she and I will have to disagree in this area. =P

#17543916 Anyone else intrigued by the idea of being a "divine figure"?

I'm really excited for this, actually. Being such a key figure ought to allow plenty of fun role-playing options - I expect every opinion about being called the Herald will be available as an option in the game. I haven't decided how I want to play it in my first playthrough, but I figure I'll just go with however I feel at the moment when the choice pops up.

(Not atheist, here, but I don't actually find that relevant to this subject. Your real life choices are separate from the in-game choices, esp since faith in God irl does not correlate to automatically siding with the first thing that seems vaguely monotheistic in fiction. But since everyone else is disclosing...!)

#17540369 Anyone kind of scared?

I have high expectations of lots of things. For me, if I expect to like something, I end up liking it. I have never understood the immediate disappointment with something. Oh, well. Mostly I just stop paying attention to cynical people, it just pisses me off.

#17540286 The Dragon Age Twitter Thread

Ah, I'm glad I decided to check this thread about when the gold cert would be - didn't want to bother a dev. =P But man, this is really exciting seeing the employees all excited and focused on the final stretch. Their excitement makes me more excited than I already was...!

...One month......!

#17286492 What is Biowares strategy to market the JRPG crowd?

I used to be only JRPGs (Final Fantasy, Tales of, Baten Kaitos, etc etc), for years and years before I got into Bioware's games. I found that what I had for JRPGs had, as said, better music, but also stronger and more focused stories. I still hold Tales of the Abyss as my favourite video game story of all time. When I also started playing more western-produced games, I found there wasn't as much of a story. Like I would work through the scenarios in say, Mass Effect or Bioshock, but it didn't feel like anything was happening.

Now here we get into arbitrariness, because I then found Assassin's Creed series was incredibly strong in story-telling... But as I type this, I'm realizing that my idea of "stronger story-telling" means more rigid story-telling, in that I tend to prefer it when it can only happen one way. I guess I'm still coming around to choice-based story-telling.

#17266535 Could we please see more of the Lady Inquisitor?

Hmmm, on the colour pink... I'm torn. I haaaaate when all female characters are forced into pink because "it's the girl colour". It's fine when one can choose to wear pink, as long as I'm not forced into it because it's the only option.

On the other hand... I get so much vindictive amusement for when I do have the choice, picking the bright and obnoxious pink... I guess I was around as a girl during this idea in gamer culture where female gamers felt like we had to deny any hint of femininity, otherwise we weren't "real gamers". I still remember that deep, cutting anxiety about being seen with a pink handheld console or something, as if it would somehow convey to dudes that I wasn't legit or something?? During a time when anything "girly" was anathema and to be avoided for fear of seeming one of thoseeee fake casual gamer girls... Back then I was so scared of that...

And now I'm just like, "can I have the 3DS in pink? can I have pink armour? can i make this weapon pink? can i get a pink game case?" Haha... It feels like fighting back. Maybe I'm the only one who does that, because, I want to be clear, I've never had a negative reaction from anyone IRL, guy or girl, friend or stranger, about appearing feminine or choosing the "girly" options, and that's enormously freeing. But it does feel like I'm denying the culture of gatekeeping, that internal editor that's telling me I can't be overtly feminine otherwise I don't really count as a real gamer... It's hard to get rid of that feeling, but it's something I can do.

And I definitely get some pleasure out of thinking that somewhere out there, there is a dudebro who will cry "fake" at me ... and I just smile. heh

jeez that got long and personal, whoops! but my input on the colour pink

I think female elf rogue for my first playthrough.

#17040173 Could we please see more of the Lady Inquisitor?

I personally much prefer the DA2 elf models. I loved that they didn't just look like humans with pointy ears. They were plenty pretty and alien-ish. Loved it. Sad to see DAI elves looking more human, but... *shrug*
