Uniqua will never know the dignity Stevhen loss to raise she and her little brother when they were younger. Middle aged women shoving singles in his banana hammock, shouting at him to "kiss" them under the tables.
There were times when the children didn't remember seeing their father eat at all. When they ask, he cracks a smile to ensure them, "I already ate at work, finish your kraft dinner".
This made me laugh than it should have

I'm not sure if I took this for granted or if it's mentioned somewhere (I'll try looking it up when I can), but I always thought Broodmothers were more-or-less subdued until a Blight, and then would become active when there was one.
Incidently I hated that part in Origins; listening to the female dwarf talk about how they made Broodmothers in that dead voice. ;_; All the chills were felt that day. Some playthroughs I'd turn subtitles off and volume down to avoid hearing it. >_<
Yeah that was probably the most disturbing thing I ever came across in Dragon Age. Even suicide would have been a better option than turning into that.

well that just makes my question all the more important, then. If we have immortal broodmothers popping out 20-50 darkspawn at a time, how is it the surface hasn't been completely overrun (let alone Orzammar)?
Maybe they are cannibals and most end up eating each other.
I wonder how a dark spawn sustains itself..

Both tried their best to protect their people and were later vilified for it.
I felt sad for a while. Its terrible to see the descent of a hero to a tragic character.
I hope BW introduces a chance for redemption for him. *waves team optimism flag*

Usually its ice with lightening bolt and some passives..half of the spirit tree..full rift of course. Now that I am building a rift mage of my own..I hear fire synergizes well with the rift tree. Vivenne gets fire/lightening just like I build my own Knight enchanter.Quick question: how do you guys build Solas? I always level him (and all the companions) automatically and let the AI take it, for that reason he is generally a electricity and spirit mage. Dorian is fire, Viv is ice. Do you guys do it different?
Dorian with fire and static cage.
On the side note I can never build a nice character on the CC. Seeing everyone's characters here I am so jealous

I'm also not into makeup and accessories, doesn't mean it's hard to find a present.
If she's totally into manga and horror fantasy what more do you want? I mean, come on, the market is full of it. Get her some rare manga she surely does not have, for example. Or a Vampire Knight box set. Or something funny like http://www.amazon.co...ewolf notebook?Surely you can secretly check out her room/apartment to see what she already has?
Yeah that would be a good idea xD

...That moment when you're trying to juggle an emotional heartfelt discussion on the Bioware forums and a Google+ conversation explaining to men that not everyone likes boobs :I ugh...
Little sisters are truly the best friends you could ever ask forAH, Birthdays are so stressful for me, my little sister's is also coming up in a few months. What kind of stuff does your sister like?
YES. Bioware seriously needs to make Solas get his bald-ass back to your Lavellan, her story's sad enough as it is without him walking the path of solitude for eternity and enacting some secret elaborate plan of elven glory
I think you're Mage Lavellan is an incredibly strong character. I could barely function (Hell, still can't) after my Grandpa passed away, I can't imagine losing any of my siblings and still being able to live...especially to the circumstances your Lavellan did. The characters that have suffered losses, that struggle, that go on trying to be good despite being broken by life, those are the ones I feel are truly strong.
Thank you xD
I agree sisters rock
Its hard to get her a present. She has no interest in makeup or clothes or jewellery.
She is still a kid at heart despite turning 21. Loves cutesy stuff and reading mangas. Totally into vampires and werewolves. I asked her what would she like but no answer yet x.x

F**k. Sibling trauma. Sibling traumas kill me. I keep seeing my little sister's face there...and...and... *sobs in pillow indefinitely* IT HURTS
As the oldest of four, I think this is the absolute worst thing a Lavellan could experience. I need to hug her.
I have a younger sister too who I absolutely love and adore. Her birthday is coming up next week and I havent decided on a present yet.
That aside its even more crucial Solas stops whatever he is doing and comes back to Lavellan ![]()
My Dalish Scout on the other hand has a happy childhood with her looking up to her elder brother who is the Keeper's first. Her only wish was that she could also wield magic like him. He would often entertain her with stories of spirits and demons :3 She is definitely more stronger than Mage Lavellan

Its super sad..no popcorns. Trigger warningTraumatic encounter? Do tell. *grabs popcorn*
...well, unless it's one of those truamatic encounters that makes you cry a lot and feel a little sick in the stomach... *slowly puts away popcorn*
She had younger sister who was training to be a hunter. They had a happy family life. One fateful day she and her sister are out picking berries for the clan..a group of humans arrive.A hunting party with a drunk noble. They start calling them racial slurs..laughing how they will get to taste an exotic piece of flesh today.
Lavellan protects her sister and tells her to run away but she wont. Next thing she knows is she has been knocked out. Violence..attempted rape ensues..her sister is mortally wounded. And the group runs away.
She wakes up to see her sister dying telling her in her last breaths that it wasnt your fault. She hates herself for not being there. She hates herself for being weak. She swore vengenance.
Her keeper meanwhile remained passive and calm. She wouldnt budge to hunt down those humans because they don't want to antagonize them and have their clan attacked. She says her sister was brave and fulfilled her duty of keeping the Clan's first safe.
But at what cost? Was this all worth it
For the greater good Lavellan has to keep quiet..alone with her grief. She is still on the prowl for those humans. She is unable to forgive nor forget. She tries hard not to paint all humans with the same brush..she hates her Keeper for her inaction. She hates her clan members since no one would step up to do something about the situation. She hated them all for their cowardice.
Now with the power of the mark in her hands its so easy to slip up and punish all the people who are the reason for her pain. She still misses her sister dearly. She curses herself..whats the use of magic when she couldn't protect her loved ones.
She is one broken woman.
I think I went too deep in this one.

She is trying her best to guide the Inquisition while fighting the darkness inside. She suffers occasionally from self doubt but wears a mask of confidence.
AND yeah had an angsty background of course. Too much pressure from clan members to live up to their expectations and then a traumatic encounter with humans

If you take Sera along and plan to do the rituals and ally with the elves..she will disapprove a lot.ahahha epic XDDD
Speaking of Sera.. I just finished the Temple of Mythal and went to speak with everyone back at Skyhold (I'm delaying speaking to Mr. Egg as long as I can xD) and I went to speak to Sera and she was all weird saying how all that happened is BS and such and pointing an arrow at me etc. I never saw this before cause this is the first time I drink from the well
Anyway.. Does anyone know if anything in particular happens if I decide to take her to the Altar of Mythal with me? Will she change her mind at least a bit or have some doubts? (I don't think so but decided to ask in case it is worth to take her..). If not who do you think I should take? Do they even say anything? XD
Generally she would be scoffing at the ancient elves (calling them "dusty butt")
There is also one instant where the guide is leading you and she takes a jibe at the elvish language
in nutshell she was going "lalala not listening" when I took her along. It is overwhelming for her.

I thought Weekes confirmed that Solas didn't make Cole forget, he just blocked Cole from reading him. Which is interesting, in the context of how Felassan was able to mentally communicate with Imshael. Maybe that's just an ancient elf thing? Where they could telepathically communicate with spirits, because they were a bit spirit-like themselves?
I made Cole human and got the same dialogue.

Oh, are you trying to freak us out with "ZOMG Solas might have been Mythal's lover??"
Cause, that bit of furor happened like 500 pages ago lol.
Imagine another Thane type scene...as he says to Lavellan "You remind me so much of Mythal"
Lavellan : "Not again!!"

Okay. So far I've seen Solas dump the Inquisitor twice, and have cried twice. Need to watch it again. Gotta desensitize myself.
One cannot simply desensitize. I watched the scene more than 6 times. I still feel sad and upset watching it and now hate doing the main quest T.T

I've got a question, just out of curiosity.
A lot of people weren't interested in Solas prior to the release 'cause "eww, bald!"
For those who felt this way and romanced Solas, anyway, do you find yourself now open to the idea that, "you know what? Bald men can be hot, too!" or is Solas the exception?
When the game came out and I saw the list of potential romances I didnt find anyone appealing and was actually lamenting that this time we females have been given limited options.
Rolled an elf and was proven wrong
