Thank you for answering. Well, I get your stance. I shall only explain why do I love the game and play it still. But I agree it could be a bit better in terms of bugginess and stuff.

1) I haven't preordered it, didn't know about the problem.

2) Yeah, even the Blood Dragon Armor didn't show up.

3) I haven't encountered this yet.

4) I don't play with a full party.

5) I didn't play it that far back.

6) Approval reset is awful.

Also, @mousestalker, I have always got through the SM without the bug, I seem to be lucky.

Origins only hiccup was Awakenings which was still a good story, but poorly executed.

Is there anything I should know about Awakening? I've played it many times and enjoyed it thoroughly, my only problem was Oghren being too obtrusive. Yeah, his constant comments about Sigrun were not really entertaining. But I loved the campaign. The characters, the skills, the story, the Architect conflict, the city/fort decision, the Nathaniel Howe hanging decision.

I'd just like to hear your opinion. Why do you think Awakening was poorly executed?

I may be wrong though. I play it mostly for Sigrun.

Technically Varric was there because Cassandra forced him to. He doesn't actually chose to join until later. Zevran doesn't actually want to backstab you. Anyone who gets him to open up about Rinna sees how he really felt about going after you

Well, when you talk to Varric, even at the beginning and ask him, his response is basically: 'I can't just leave with such a threat nearby.'

No, Zevran doesn't indeed betray you. Zevran is an awesome character, and the choice makes him even better. But show me a sentient person who would risk his real life with recruiting an assassin with a pending contract on your head.

I love Inquisition, but Origins was THE masterpiece.

 

I also don't agree that Origins graphics suck. Alistair looks the best in Origin.

Origins is a game I've been playing for years and can't get bored of it. Especially as a Dwarf Commoner.

I also like the graphic style a lot more. The only thing I'd like to do someday would be voicing main characters, for now it seems like one doesn't have a personality at all. The voice really helps with immersion.

The thing I loved most were the companions. Yeah, in Inquisition they're well done, but in Origins I feel them. I am able to develop emotions towards certain companions without them being general (Vivienne is awful whomever I pick, but you can hate Alistair with one and love him with another, simply because he has a story, he does things his way and is not generic).

Also, why does Varric join you? He wants to help. Why does Cole join you? He wants to help. Hey, you can't refuse that. I always have all the companions in Inquisition, not at all in Origins. Hey, Zevran? You wanna join? Sure, so you could backstab me right away. Hey Wynne, wanna join? Right of Annulment. Hey Sten? Wanna join? Oh, you don't even seem you want to join.

My second playthrough, this time with an elven mage. Thought I'd make myself a challenge by picking a hair and trying to fit the character into it. Definitely like her more than my first one. I think I'll try a dwarven archer next.
