That's good! Hectic work may be tiring, but it's usually a good sign, at least. I'm good here, finally coming out the other side of a couple of months of very long days and trying to get back into the swing of writing. I've got a few months to go on the current story, but a friend helped me brainstorm a new dwarven one that jumps into backstory so I avoid being tied to Inquisition events so I can have more fun with it.

Quite excited for a dwarven backstory now!

Work's been super hectic lately so all I've had time to really do is lurk instead of actively participate 

But life is treating me alright otherwise. I hope you're doing well too!

There miiiight be a reason for why Varric told Solas that surface dwarven culture is actually thriving.

Minka and Trilen Cadash had Alcina, her sister Ferinda and two brothers Doudrin and Renrik, in between all that ruling a powerful criminal family.

And hello dwarf fans! *popping back into lurkdom  *

Today Solas and Bull had some banter. But to my surprise it was Solas who actually tried to cheer Bull up about being Tal-Vashoth. I guess Solas is not that horrible after all.

 

Another thing: when you see Iron Bull is being attacked there´s this question that quizzy makes to Bull concerning his wound. I guess (more or less) the lines are:

 

Quizzy: Are you all right?

Iron Bull: Fine, I´ve made worse while fooling around bed... 

 

I´ve been always curious to know if this was just figurative speaking or if there is actually some meaning. Maybe Bull was tortured in bed in the past or something? Any theories/info about this?

I've always taken that to mean he's just been injured in bed before. Not necessarily tortured.

I love size differences in all varieties and I specifically wanted one of my Cadashes to romance Bull for that reason. 

The way Alcina unfolded over the course of the game just reassured me it was the right decision for her 

1. For the two of my four Cadashes that made it to that scene with Solas, my canon warrior Alcina did freak out in my HC over the Fade stuff initially. Ferinda had a Dagna attitude about it, she was decidedly excited it happened and was eager to learn all she could about the how, what, and why of it. Dwarves being last minute additions, I'm assuming no one at Bioware really thought through that part about the Fade stuff or just didn't have the resources to allocate to sufficiently address it.

2. After seeing the weird camera angles over the number of hours I put into my Cadashes so far, other than sharing them on Tumblr & Twitter I've just had to let it go.

3. I'm firmly in the Cadash and Iron Bull camp. His animations weren't weird with Alcina at all and the balcony scene at the end was to die for. I thought it was hilarious and it totally suited them as a couple. Blackwall's didn't give me enough to feel strongly one way or the other with Ferinda (haven't made it to his balcony scene yet though).

4. Only one of my four Cadashes used the American VA. Two of them (Ferinda and Doudrin) I HC because they tend to do infiltration and spy work, they'd do well to mimic the marks but their mother groomed Alcina to do more face work on lyrium deals for the family until she decided she just wanted to work her shield and axe. Not that any of them are to be messed with, lest you find yourself stabbed, bashed, or poisoned.

Oh I forgot I got a fluffy commission of Bull and Alcina done recently by lonicera-caprifolium on Tumblr (click the artist's name to see it; mobile Imgur doesn't always act right to let me post images on here).

@ Mengor: I briefly chatted with Sui recently and he's doing okay, just busy. Denise has fallen into the Fallout fandom so she's been busy writing and making art for that fandom lately. But everyone's doing fine

Hi everyone! Just popping by to say hello.

Oh, and I wanted to ask the thread: do your Dwarfquisitors usually go with the mages or the templars? I'm thinking about conscripting the latter because 1) Lorna is freaked out by magic and her EVIL GLOWING HAND and would rather go with the diminishy types, and 2) conscription because both factions are full of nincompoops who can't be trusted.

Alcina and Doudrin allied with the Templars (they thought getting some folks that could neutralize magic would be more useful), Ferinda conscripted the mages (she thought they should gain control of those wielding the magic).

Secretly the three of them thought each group were being idiots but their main underlying concern was let's get lyrium into some hands again (being it's the family business and all).

Thanks! My writing inspiration is completely random these days but I haven't stopped writing.

As far as the chapters thing, I don't think it really matters much. I just post when the chapter is done because I've always done so.
