But I managed to troll a lobby-modder out of the game just now with the smash adept.  

 

And I thought I was done finding new stuff to do in this game.

Every enemy with burst fire weapons will "cheat" your gates because their duration on platinum is reduced to 0.01 second (0.1 on gold). Crab laser probably has a high tick rate so if it ticks more than 0.01 times per second, you basicaly get rekt every time. You would have to ask Mgamerz how exactly the laser damage is applied, if he can figure it out (I'm interested too).

 

Other than that, Geth are the worst because of stunlock. 

True about gates, but I'm killed (directly or indirectly) more often by captains (specially possessed) than any other mook. Perhaps because of their combination of accuracy, fire rate and damage designed to drive players nuts. And the basturds even have a low wave cost considering how annoying they are.

If we are going with factions I'd say Collectors. Because of shield/health gate ignoring captains and crabs. And crabs being the only unit in the game you can't melee unless you wanna die; everything else you can hit and run or even tank on ramps.

But geth primes' pets will always occupy a special place in my heart nightmares. Primes themselves are tolerable in reasonable dosages (Plat Geth W2, though   ).

I will only say that I left disappointed I didn't cook any of you. And the only time I actually thought I'd do it, it was unintentional (I pressed the button to fry a bunch of troopers and Goldarm walked in  . I couldn't believe my luck  . It was all for naught as he survived  ).

I'll report I've found out a trick to find Mission_Scrubbed while pugging: If you play the Claymore HSol he will be on the lobby you land in or will drop there after you in more than half the matches. 

Are we going to try to save/move all this group content? If so, how? I wish I had some ideas, but I don't participate in any other gaming community except some Discord servers   .

^ Yes, I've noticed. I was the one who asked for it. But still haven't been able to get it to work. Among other mixins failing to work now too.

Update ModManager if you haven't. It solved some of my issues.

Some people like me remove rocket launcher dmg, others like this guy boost it's radius to nuke the entire map in on shot. Twice I ran into this guy throughout the day. So I'm clueless as to how this guy keeps entertained to keep playing with such an I win button.

 

Platinum seems to be where the modded lobbies exist. Ran into another one where Overload did enough dmg to half armour a full shield Platinum Pyro.

Yeah, I drop into that guy's lobby frequently and I still can't fathom how they find that kind of gameplay fun. However, after I went on a long rant on the console chat a couple days ago about ruining people games, I managed to make them bail on me any time I drop into their game instead of the opposite  .

Wanted to try Destroyer Piranha, so I decided to check a Platinum match. I started with the host and had a rough time during a goon rush wave because the emergency Frag Nades I thought I had weren't specced into (hard to keep track of what's what with so many accounts). Lucky a BSNer dropped in;

The second game I respecced and tried Claymore Destroyer. But my connection to the host was getting worse. GGs, Lvca.

GG! How many flying Atlases did we get on that first game? I think at least three 

Tbh, I was lagging all the time, but the company was good. That second game though, I started to get annoyed at the host. Not only crappy connection but also leaving the packages to us so they could scorewhore? A pity that abomb I blew in the last seconds didn't kill them as I intended. Would have stayed after host migration, but real life got in the way

It the Geth Scanner really that useful on Silver? I never bother with it.

Geth scanner is useful even when not playing.

Cabal Vanguard w/Geth Scanner can be amusing. Teleporting melee strikes and then poison strike away.

Can confirm. Or poison strike and then dodge. Or poison strike in and poison strike out. I'm just in love with her atm, she's so much fun.

Personally, I very much prefer the no melee double dash builds, maxing the Blades (this one is mine) which, thanks to the double stagger, will save your life more often than a dodge that doesn't work that well. If off-host/bad map you can still fall back to a Grenadeless BatSol Impersonator. I doesn't help that I find her melee a bit bland, probably because of the sound. 

She's really fun on Gold, Platinum i've only played a couple games and one was London Collectors 

Had a couple good Zombie Mod games yesterday with Vormav while playing with Chroptus and Zamweer  . Also invited Mission_Scrubbed, but I'm not sure it counts since not pugging 

I tried to do this, but there were too many duels where I just couldn't make a choice   .

I'm gonna necro this thread because it kept showing up when I was trying to google stuff about asari builds.

 

Basically, I have a bunch of AR amps I need to use up (no pistols, very few shotguns and SMGs, prefer to save my SRs for other kits I have in mind), and I also want to use more asari, so if there are any kits you guys can recommend (especially with the Valkyrie or Justicar, not so much Huntress or Adept--Vanguard is fine too) with ARs I'd appreciate it and whatnot.

 

And before any of you so much as think of the Lancer: I still don't have it.

Plenty of good suggestions, the only I haven't seen would be PPR Huntress, which is great.

2 Huntress, i have no idea how to use this character properly, if i shoot something while cloaked i loose the power damage if i don't i miss the the weapon dps any other power character can use while recycling skills.

Powers fired from cloak on the huntress do keep the bonus for their complete duration link (by corlist).

Dammit, I want to believe that, I really do, but I have an entirely opposite opinion. There is no weapons master in this game. Every kit can use every weapon in a different way. "GI all the things" is a famous Bsn answer I never really understood. Other classes are as equal or better than GI. Example: TSol with anything. Destroyer is an excellent weapons platform. Also in the past I've had GI's wasted all of their medigels and ragequit in shame because they thought they could match my poor old HSol's survivability and close/any range versatility. Now, Javelin can easily handle Platinum bosses on its own, I just plain love it with Adrenaline Rush.

 

 

Not to mention that GI Claymore is nowhere near HSol Claymore. I will admit that GIs are efficient killers and they can be of great help in many chaotic games, but I want to be honest here, I've never been "threatened" by it. Just my two cents, as always.

I you want to git gud OP, you have to challenge yourself. Step out of your comfort zone. Play with kits and guns you're not used to play with. Use more no/little fitness builds, forget about Cyclonics. And:

Go forth and conquer!

Try themed challenges. I know I've become a way better player after doing solo challenges. I'm still a scrub, but a better scrub

Yes, you will get fewer weapon points if you're not just using your weapon for damage.  But you will still get plenty of weapons points, and the game will be much more fun, at least on Gold and below where bosses can be easily kited/avoided/distracted by PUGs while you mow down mooks for points.

That's more of a matter of personal taste and approach, and because of that up to the OP.

I obtain a lot of satisfaction from completing challenges quickly when I decide to do so. It eliminates the feeling of grinding you can sometimes get. Also, marksman improves the enjoyability of many guns in my opinion, like the Revenant, Locust, BPP, CAR... they all sound better with the greatly increased RoF to my ears. And remember that a 50% RoF increase equals a 50% DPS increase provided you connect all shots, which is not that difficult thanks to the improved accuracy. That's without taking into account the extra headshot damage. Making a shitty gun actually good is fun too (or it is for me anyway).

I also prefer to use semiautomatic guns on the GE, I think they synergize better with overload spamming, tech explosions, and reload cancel/hiding (the only exception I can think of now being the GPR). I usually leave autos to marksman and semiautos to geth kits.

So, if the goal is to complete challenges, I still suggest Marksman kits and GI. If the goal is to incorporate them into normal gameplay, that's another thing altogether   . 

I'm not 100% sure how points work, but you don't need fire explosions and you can get a ton of weapon kills.  Use Overload to strip shields and then aim for the head.  Incendiary Ammo helps by making them do the little fire dance, making a steady stream of headshots easy, which is critical for taking stuff down with water gun SMG's.  Yeah, you will lose out on the points you get from stripping the shields with Overload, but if you're getting the kill with the SMG, I think you will still get plenty of SMG points.

My written info comes from here. But in-game it's easy to check, just do a bronze solo (maybe even just the first wave) and check if you got more points with a marksman kit or and explosions/power kit. In my experience, the difference between both is very, very notable. Or maybe it's just me that when I have powers available I like to spam them.

The problem with the GE is that most of the damage is going to come from Fire Explosions and Overload, which means less weapon points. Personally, if the gun is more or less accurate (Locust in this case) or has a ramp-up (GPSMG), take the GI for the extra damage and aggro drop. If the gun is very inaccurate (Tempest, BPP) take the Tsol, and maybe extra stability if you need it.
