Slightly off topic: since we are probably going to Tevinter in the next game, what are the odds that Calpernia will return? Based on what we know about her, do you think she will support Dorian's and Maevaris Tilani's reformist group?

 

And does Samson have chance of surviving his red lyrium addiction?

Well, it never really shows Calpernia dying, just her going "I won't die to you!" and fall backwards into the abyss of who knows where. (Dragon Age has a reputation of bringing people back from the dead.) You can also convince her to leave, which reinforces that idea.

i saved Petrice and she promised help. where is she there's no reason to cast her away.

She could be used as a sacrifice for blood magic and I still wouldn't care, bastard killed Saemus.

Do you have any headcanons that you like in Dragon Age: Inquisition, that maybe you've never really told anyone? They can be about characters or the story and popular or just a personal thing. They don't need any evidence to back them up.

EX: My headcanon is that Dorian and Sera secretly like the books Varric makes, like Cassandra does, but maybe not as much. (A book he made can be found in the area both Dorian and Sera are in.)

I like both but I wish Calpernia could have been a result of choosing the Mages. I got Samson on my first play through and had no idea about Calpernia, I prefer her background.

Same with me, yeah. I chose to help the mages in both my playthroughs, but I never knew about Calpernia until recently. I'll definitely try to help the Templars in my next playthrough to see her.

What are your favorite companions to take with you throughout the land? You can post why you take them and an optional fourth who you like to switch the other companions out with.

EX: I usually take Dorian, Cassandra, and Sera. I like their party banter and having a rogue, mage, and warrior is a good combination (I usually make my Inquisitor a Rogue). I also switch out Sera with Iron Bull because sometimes I'll need two warriors and because I like him.

1. Much more was going on, such as the Mage/Templar war 

2. I'm pretty sure there's strong tension between every group of people, so everybody isn't happy, just happy about Corypheus being dead

3. Last time I checked, Solas isn't a Demon. (Assuming Solas will be the antagonist in DA4)

Same on Briala, that's the only downfall on her character but I still think she's cute and deserves to be on the list.

My favorite ones are the ones where it has something like "[Insert character name] Greatly Approves" in it.

If anyone is still playing Heroes of Dragon Age, they just added another Dorian variant - Necromancer Dorian (for Halloween), and there's a higher than usual chance to get him in packs for another 3 days.

I recreated my looks for my Elven Inquisitor.

I took over the 'Emprise du Lion' Fort with Cassandra, Dorian, and Sera.

And my Inquisitor boned Dorian.

So far, I'd say this was a successful day.

Honestly, the only reason why I want to be a Dalish Elf is for my DA4 PC to spite Solas.

I like both characters, and I think it sucks that you can't have both, but I very much preferred Carver over Bethany. Carver has a much more interesting relationship and conversations with Hawke than Bethany does. Also, Bethany was kind of a Mary Sue character, which (sadly) reminded me of Tallis.

Dorian is going to be in it, but I can't stand his whining and wish he would just play a cameo role.

Indeed.  Flemmeth and her remain central to the meta narrative.  I believe Leliana still has a part to play - whether as Divine or Nightingale or Shadow Spymaster (to the Underground Inquisition). The Inquisitor should have a major cameo for the final showdown with Solas - if that is BW's plan for DA4 (could be postponed 'till DA5).  The HoF's fate is too... loaded for him to have an appearance.  I think Hawke's story is done with - whatever you chose in DAI.

 

As for DAI's companions... I can only see Dorian having a major part in DA4.  Cass may or may not be Divine - either way she should have plenty on her plate between the Chantry and the Seekers to be unavailable; Cullen has his work cut out for him with the AA for Lyrium addicts; Varric has other *shiite* to deal with now that 'the hole in the sky' is sealed;  Vivienne should be busy politicking; Blackwall (if saved) should be invested in his charity work;  Iron Bull is not important enough to reappear; and finally Sera, that vulgar trollop, can thankfully slink back into obscurity!  If necessary I can accept a few Codex entries for some of them helping out in the background but that's it.

 

I think we might see Fenris again (hopefully better animated this time around - not like in DA2 where he constantly seemed to be trying to shake off some turd he stepped in...  But other than that I'd like to see new people.  And I do hope this next game doesn't center on Qunaris....  I find that people mostly uninteresting.  However I don't get my hopes too high on that front...

 

My only wish is that they finish the series with the destruction of Solas and the Evanuris so that we can normalize the world and seal the Fade forever!

I agree with pretty much everything you said. Flemmeth and Morrigan are major character's in the franchise, so having them never show up again would leave a lot of unanswered questions. I think we can all assume that Dorian will definitely be in DA4 since he's ruling there, and that every other character has their hands full in other places. Fenris is another candidate who'll show up, probably the Inquisitor and Solas too. I don't think we'd see HoF and Hawke again (but I'm still curious to what the outcome will be on who you sacrifice in the fade). I just want, as Sniper_Arrow said, people who have business in being in Tevinter and not just some how there. I think the Qunari will play a role, big or small, in DA4 since we are going to Tevinter. 

I don't agree with Sera, though, but this is mainly on a theory level. There's something about her character that just doesn't seem right, like her character isn't finished yet. She doesn't remember her childhood at all (which is a hint to the Amnesia cliche, or as I like to call it the "I-Don't-Remember-My-Past-So-That-Means-Something-Important-Happened" cliche) and how she learned how to use a bow on her own like a pro. There is a theory that she may have a dragon's soul key or Andruil's soul (link here). Watch the video, it's really interesting.

There's (probably) already been a post about characters you want to see in the next installment of the next Dragon Age franchise, but what about characters you don't want to see? In my opinion, I don't want to Cullen or Leliana again. I have nothing against them, but I've seen them way too many times and I'm getting bored of them. I want to see other characters come back we haven't seen in a while.
