Hmm ok... This is how I feel about this

I hope this is exactly what everyone who feels hurt/angry/disappointed will do. You might annoy them with an orchestrated shitpost effort, but nothing can hurt them back as effectively as a drop in sales that can be explained by nothing other than shutting down the forum. Normally I don't give into such hateful thinking but the dark side got me this time they deserve it.

And the lack of the support actually provided by other gamers in these forums. In some other thread it was also pointed out, that after a player contacts some help sites/lines, the helpdesk tells them to look for answers in these forums!

I'm hatefully happy to see all that turn into some "X hit the fan scenario" with new games, when there's no forum nor helpful older gamers to provide that info and help for the newcomers.

Good luck with that move, biovar, you've just made your pigsty, now lie in it in the months to come.

I would also like to see this biovar's master idea making it to some gaming related magazines, websites or other news sites like that! If it already hasn't happened - and I certainly hope it has - people should make those places/sites aware of this, and get more publicity for this idiotic, shortsighted decision that they made regarding the forums.

Yep. I wasn't intrigued by MEA earlier, either but now even less.

Also, in a weird sense perhaps, it's been interesting to see that all of this biowar-bs has had an impact on other people now, as well - those who were certain they'd pre-order the new games, have now had a change of heart. Very likely it's just a drop in the ocean for EA's profits but still happy to see people 'voting with their feet', as we say, and taking their money elsewhere as a protest.
