How about a prologue where the ark is already departed and our pc is looking out at the milky way as they're being called by ai holograms to prepare for cryosleep. In the ever increasing distance the ark incurs our pc narrows their eyes as the milky way shows of illuminating lights throughout it's vastness, in a very low and distant sound something familiar horn like could be heard as our pc focuses all the more. Before any of what we- our pc briefly sees/hears could be realized our ai holograms onboard the ark urge our pc once more to prepare for the.. deep sleep.

Biotics, evolved biotics to be specific. I need a sword? Okay I'll use my biotics to form a tangible sword, oh now I need a sheild? Okay biotic shield it is. Well crap now I'm a frozen tundra biotic fire to the rescue. I guess what I'm saying is I want muh magicks

But in the ME universe I'd have to say a weapon that's transformable and can be infused with biotics for more power. Kinda like a Swiss army omnitool.

Going to an entirely new galaxy and various worlds you don't need soldiers what you need is information. Having the drell and frankly any species with a group that revolves around recon and stealth should be a priority over foot soliders for their field of expertise alone. The drell while afflicted with ks are still very powerful operatives, due to their training and field of experience they aren't open to the same punishment as frontline warriors.

If I were leading an expedition into a new world I'd have 40 percent of my forces be reconnaissance, assassination and stealth while having the remaining 60 split betwixt vital assets. Information is a weapon with Incalculable power.

Plus I'd imagine the ark would have the drells on ice to postpone ks and it's effects while in the meantime before awakening have ai develop a cure and obviously as failsafe for the krogans

Console hardware will always be limited unless you want to pay $1000+ for your console.

1k+? I'd rather spend that on one of those matrix gaming chairs. You know the one from grandma's boy, http://www.mwelab.com/builder/ it would totally be worth the money and with recent personal circumstances it'd be perfect me. I could really become one with the no life way with one of these, next level no life.

As long as the visuals aren't from 1989 & are sufficient for this era in gaming then I honestly don't care if they're at 40fps. I would prefer stunning visuals but the entire game doesn't need to look like one continuous cutscene. Gameplay is what matters, graphics are nice but if you play a game for the graphics then get out. ME 1 still looks great and many games prior to even it still look good to this day. Gameplay, gameplay, gameplay and snacks that's all you need.

I think having it where depending on which sex you choose either the male or female member of the family will end up being at odds with the pc's path would be neat. Thus they'll side with the opposing force or perhaps a scenario where they already were awoken in andromeda either years before our pc or perhaps due to a ship malfunction and they're stranded so it could be a side objective of ours to hunt down our relative only to discover something occured to them betwixt the time period of our pc's arrival and reunion

Personally life for me has become rather complicated, this world is so vast yet so small in the grand scheme of things. I lost someone very dear to me, someone my heart of hearts recognized as being the one and I've had to accept that to love is to support regardless of one's own personal sentiments or attachments. The heart will always want what the heart wants and not even you can fight against that, to have to make choices that will crush your heart, mind, body and soul willingly so that for which you harbor endless and perpetual honest to goodness love for can be happy... is one of few if not the hardest thing to do when it comes to human nature. Humans are selfish, violent and foolish. Everything about human nature can be seen via the past and over half of it is filled with self afflicted agony, mankind is mankind's own worst enemy and with a tract record of being so heartless, cruel and vicious how can such noble sentiments such as that above occur? How can man be so monsterous& selfish that even the gods would tremble in awe yet be so filled with kindness and selflessness to willingly cause a pain so deep it'll never heal no matter how long it has to recover.

These choices, I feel like mass effect as a whole has yet to fully capture such emotion and I would very much like andromeda to attempt to do this. I would like to see our player character be forced to confront choices that affect them and them alone, choices that will force them to endure silent agony.

Shepard had nightmares, I think they could expand upon that in a more in-depth and fluid way. Exploration is more than just discovering new extra terrestrial worlds it's also about discovering what lay within us.

why not add another thread about in game breakups?

Here's an idea, let's have relationship requirements, let's be forced to spend time, credits, blood, sweet, tears, let's be forced to deal with a needed abortion due to unfortunate circumstances neither the pc or li could've expected. Let's have all that and have a great li relationship through thick and thin, only to have the li abandon the pc!!! Let's have that, make the pc suffer for being in love and giving himself fully for so long. Have the li lie to you because they don't want to hurt you and then move away to another cluster.

What do you guys think? I think that's a great idea, a FAN TAS TIC!!! Idea, let's make the relationships like real life and have our li completely "feel bad" but still abandon you when you need them most.

Happy endings are nice but in video games you don't want a happy ending. Hell, you don't want an ending in General. When an ending occurs it should be filled with fallout. If you kill people, aliens, civilizations, you need an ending that reflects the fallout of the story's actions.

I do like the idea of a non council species becoming angry at council species for attempting to retain the governing style as if still in citadel space. You do bring up flaws in my schism, oh yes, however I still think a schism-ish like story could do well. Perhaps not a full blown "wat? Hoomans u dye! Grah" but I do feel like one will occur it's almost inevitable. Andromeda is the wild west and I am positive(don't quote me) that council/non-council species will be unable to work together to the fullest extent. I mean sure what you said make sense but so does the fact that citadel space was an old well oiled machine with years if not decades+ of trail & errors to make it what it was. In the wild west, andromeda, no well oiled machine exist and no governing body save for what is on the ark exist either. At first things will be tense but eventually everyone will realize "hey, this isn't citadel space.. why am I or my species not stepping up? No real authority has been established. This is our time!"

With no established rule, no policing force, it will be a simple matter of who & when. All it takes is one stone to loosen and eventually the whole wall will fall.

Specifically betwixt the interspecies ark inhabitants, mankind even with the end of the trilogy were still a relatively new galactic superpower. One that became an instrumental key figure by ending a war that was never won and continued for aeons. While yes mankind had aid from varying council & non council species it was mankind that became the tip of what I like to refer to as "The spear of shepard"(get it? Spear of destiny? Hurr, that wasn't funny? Ok..). Thus mankind on that day regardless if Shepard is canonically alive became a force that couldn't be ignored. A threat.

Ergo, I believe the interspecies relations onboard the ark will be tense once stress levels from departure are aligned and steady. The elder races will all want to seize an opportunity to reform the citadel council if not power for themselves and reign singlehandedly. I am presuming that each race will be playing behind the scenes for the opportunity to end mankind and then seize control once the larger threat is out of the picture. Thoughts?

Wrong. N7 has a chain of command meaning despite the player character having "choices" he will need to inevitably report to a chain of command. Even shep with all his shepness had to report to a chain of command. Being a space pirate means full freedom, it means us as the player character is the one who is reported to and not the one who reports. In simple being a space pirate is wayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy better, why? Because no one likes being told what to do and having the freedom to do whatever the hell you want is best.

Besides, I don't want to kill an entire civilization because some monkey in a suit wants me to. I want to murder that civilization because I can and want to because why not?
