Bloodborne is good!

The setting is just so eerily beautiful and gothic, I love it.

Plus I'm not dying as frequently as I was, so I'm taking that as a sign that I'm getting better lol

2016 has just been the worst year.

And its only just over half way through... 

Sometimes there are just no words to describe how I feel about stuff like that, its just incomprehensible to me that one person can actually do that, to effect so many lives, just not the families and friends of lost ones, but those who were injured, those who witnessed it happen... its unbelievable how one person cannot give thought as to consequence, to truly comprehend what they are doing, what there actions will trigger. 

It makes me sick to my stomach.

Sometimes navigating the Andromeda forum I literally be like...

The Shallows was surprisingly good, and Blake Lively's acting was actually better than expected.

Netflix films I highly recommend that I've seen recently are The Invitation and HouseBound. 

I started a new thread in the MEA forum to try and bring some positivity to the forum. So much negativity lately!!!  I"m sure all those negative nancies will show up sooner or later.

No seriously, mostly I'm excited for meeting the new characters, since the cast of the original trilogy are my favourite thing about the trilogy, and so many of them are among my favourite characters of all time so... no pressure there lol

But there is so much I'm looking forward too, the exploration, from the planets, to the Tempest

I forget, isn't he the buffoon who said America should build a wall separating Mexico from the US? A president who actually looks to Game of Thrones for policy ideas is perfectly open to be criticized if you ask me, not because its trendy 

As to the OP, I couldn't care less.

The original trilogy had a male Shepard on the promo and marketing and was considered the default Shepard, so why not a female Ryder this time for Andromeda?

Of course, given gaming's environment, BioWare will have to release a default male Ryder trailer soon, lest they incur the wrath of etc. (the internet)

Mass Effect 3 was the first game where I had the option to play as a gay male, and finally be able to play as a character I could feel comfortable projecting myself onto, looking up to, relating to and empathizing with completely. 

I could have a relationship with a man in this game, and said relationship was treated as the norm in-universe, as no different as an opposite-sex coupling.

My crew included Steve Cortez and Specialist Traynor, an African-American gay man and lesbian. 

For the first time, I felt that I had a real place in video games, that this was a community I could be a part of and be ok and accepted in. 

It made me appreciate the Mass Effect games, and BioWare, on a whole new level, and I personally have the utmost respect for them for their inclusiveness, and their handling of LGBT characters and sexuality. 

I can't think of many others, if any, who I would argue are on the same level as BioWare for there excellent representation and treatment of minorities. 

Which is why I find it so disheartening to see other LGBT people complain about how BioWare handled Dorian, or hated Kaidan's retconning, or found certain bisexual characters to be promiscuous, or how LGBT romances weren't on the same level as the straight romances, and that BioWare sucks at LGBT representation, and that BioWare needs to do more, so much so much more, because for some people's anger at how they maybe treated in real life, they look to BioWare and games as said substitute for simulating experiences they may not get in the real world.

I will forever commend BioWare, and not appreciate it when they are criticized without valid criticisms in my honest opinion.

It's hardly going to make other companies look and go, hm, well BioWare's reception to inclusiveness and representation was positive, so let's follow suit.

The things the devs have said. It all points to your choice of gender determining if you have a sister or a brother, not whether you have a sibling or not. 

I would have hoped we would be able to pick the gender, rather than it being determinant on your character's gender.

Instead of brother = sister, or vice versa, it might be interesting to see a brother and brother sibling relationship or sister and sister, that's if the writing and development is good enough to warrant such a range of variables you'd have to take into account.

Yes, you will die a lot, but in the Souls games you are always learning something. They are challenging, but they aren't this impossible game that a lot of people say it is. When the game clicks, you will see what i'm talking about x)

 

Tips: Lock on and roll are your best friends and the enemies will always open their guards at some point. Be patient and don't kill yourself!

 

Now go play it!

 

I may well have to give it another shot now lol I need something anyway to kill the time between now and September when The BioShock Collection comes out. By then I'll also have Dishonored 2 and Mafia III to look forward too!!!

Meeting Kaidan, Liara, Garrus, Tali and Wrex all for the first time 

The entire Noveria arc. 

The game peaked for me on Virmire, with the talk with Sovereign, but I did love Ilos. The final assault thing on the Citadel felt a bit generic, but I liked the final bit with Saren at the end.

Lol I've been meaning to try Bloodbourne, I love the setting, but I just know I'd never make it very far lol I would die so often
