English not being your mother tongue is not an excuse for your English to be shitty.

I've seen some of it in this incarnation of the forums, too. And elsewhere. And in a couple of schools I went to, there were people getting a fit over the fact that most manuals are in English, when they "didn't want to bother with it, 'cause Norwegian was more than enough to get along on the workplace."

I don't get the anger over knowing more than one language. **I** am monolingual because I never took the initiative when I was younger to apply myself to French in school, but I'm trying to rectify that now and teach myself at least to read and write in a couple other languages. There is TREMENDOUS value in knowing more than one language, and fluently so. It really just can't be overstated.

If nothing else, knowing English is useful, no, required to be a part of the international community. In Norway, English as a secondary language is a requirement for ten grades, starting at third grade(or at least it did back when I was attending primary school), though there are many who view it as an annoyance at best. I had German as a tertiary language for three grades, but the most I can say I got out of it is that I know how words I read on the paper is supposed to sound.

Whoever's in charge of the Dragon Age G+ page has clearly watched too much Top Gear.

Didn't you get a job at Google? Or have you yet to hear anything on that?

Was referring to this line: "They say only the Inquisitor has the power to stop it..." Y'know?

I am considering whether to install Fallout: New Vegas again. I might have to double check which DLC packs I'm missing. First, sleep.

Don't wanna live in fear and loathing. I wanna feel like I am floating, instead of constantly exploding in fear and loathing.

Dinner at dad's place went over as well as I could've hoped. Still mentally draining however.

It's not my problem if you don't see what I see. And I do not give a damn if you don't believe. My problem, it's my problem that I never am happy. It's my problem, it's my problem; on how fast I will succeed.

Friday was. I got a C on the essay from hell, because I didn't make word count. I was completely floored by such a huge grade cut when the Prof liked the rest of the paper okay. Went in yesterday morning to discuss it, and he upped my grade to a B...and he also signed a form to let me take a higher level history class next semester, as well as signing paperwork to be my new adviser. The gist of which just means he thinks well of my coursework, which is really awesome because he has hi...

For the love of all that is good, *challenge* me when you think I'm wrong; *tell* me when I do or say something that I shouldn't, and most of all, tell me why. Give me something I can use to better myself.

CCR's version of I Heard It Through The Grapevine is still one of the best pieces in the history of rock. Such a shame that the radio edit cuts away about two thirds of the song, and most people never hear the best parts of it.
