And, of course, more MGS5 - I should be able to play this afternoon since my dad insists on watching a boring Chiefs game (Niners fan here - the only reason he's watching the Chiefs is because ex-Niner Alex Smith is the QB and because he likes to hate on former Coach Harbaugh for how he treated Smith and replaced him with Kaepernick like a gazillion seasons ago).

FYI, I think Smith is a good QB (and a nice guy) AND that Harbaugh was definitely a jerk about the whole QB situation back when things originally went down, but Jesus, I don't need to keep hearing about it every time the Niners play or during Chiefs games. The fact that Harbaugh has left to take that college coaching gig might at least reduce the Harbaugh-related bitching from my dad at least.

I blame it on Diamond Dog for being such a fuzzy-wuzzy ball of awesomeness. Hey, I HAD to go on an extra mission to do a test run with him - he finally turned into an adult doggy at some point last night. I may also have run around Mother Base with him for a while and called him a good boy, quite a bit - he just seems so darned happy when I do!

And I thought the blonde dimbulb from yesterday was the dumbest one yet, but hey, I was wrong - this clearly trumps blondie's inability to send me the one stupid picture that I need to do her edits. Pro tip: check your manuscript before submitting it to make sure that you didn't send the highly annoyed book designer 15 pages of blank lines.

Ever since the first proof, I kept nagging to try to get the dumb author to separately submit the Book 2 preview image so that it could be processed appropriately in order for me to be able to insert it (because she can't have a color image in a black-and-white book AND because the image person needs to check it for problems first).

This is now the SECOND time that I have taken a screenshot of the stupid image and plopped it in my e-mail so that this dimbulb author could MAYBE rub all two of her neurons together and send us the JPG/TIFF/whatever format of the Book 2 preview image. I want to strangle the author - seriously.

My instructions were already pretty dumbed down when I effectively said (and have said every damned time): "please submit the Book 2 preview image separately to be processed for image placement" (more or less).

My eyeballs STILL hurt (had to delete my comment and modify it due to a typo - grr). Anyway, I'm just going to repeat that while there's a lot of weird stuff in MGS, there's so much weird stuff that I don't buy Ocelot's "shrapnel is pressing on your optic nerve and MIGHT cause visual hallucinations" explanation. So at this point I still think Snake is stuck in his coma. :P

I created my IA and named her Kshara ages ago, FYI. Anyway, I finally Rishi today and ended up doing my IA's class-related quest - that's when I saw Watcher Two again and found out that her name is Shara, heh.

Well, I love orobirds too, but every time I'm on Rishi, some of the orobirds show up as aggressive enemies and chase me and try to kill me. I wonder if random Sith sorcerers are zapping them with lightning or something. :P

The only good things were A) the Alsatian pizza I had (bacon, much delicious bacon) and B) watching Suits (OMG, MIKE!!!!!!!!). What, that's not a spoiler! Isn't EVERY episode Suits kind of a roller coaster when Mike's in danger? Well, it has mostly been a Harvey-related roller coaster this season. P.S. I hate Hardman - hate, hate HAAAATE!!!!!!!

Front matter (things like the foreword or a prologue, etc.) is numbered differently - usually with Roman numerals starting from "I." This guy is so stupid that he thought the Roman numeral "II" was eleven. I just semi-snippily pointed out to the AR that SHE could go explain the Roman numeral numbering system to this guy because I have already wasted enough time on creating examples and trying to explain s--- to this author.

Because I REALLY don't want to explain math, numbering systems or anything ELSE to this dipstick after the amount of (unpaid) work that I have already done to try to make him suck less. At this point, I dearly hope to never see ANY urban romance novels again for the rest of my life (sadly, I'm pretty sure I will and that they will ALL continue to be equally crappy like this one, with authors who ALL have the IQs of turnips).

After talking to two of my friends over whether or not I should go with the PS4 version or the PC version, I went ahead with the PS4. One said the PC port is supposed to be good, but after the whole Arkham Knight thing, I'm like - no thanks, I'd rather not (seeing as my PC version of B:AK is still sitting in my room, uninstalled on my computer...).
