Dang it - I just wish they'd moved that whole thing to like four hours later, which is when I'll be sleeping. *le sigh*

Well dang, I guess I'm gonna start a new PT of KOTOR 2 with the achievements and restoration mod released. Or continue on some other dormant titles I have lying around.

I hope they finish patching early - lol. I guess I can resume playing TLoU if it's not up at some point tomorrow. The only reason I haven't actually finished TLoU (got the remastered version free w/my PS4) is because my friend insisted on streaming it for me a while back. He did it because he believed I would never actually get around to setting up my PS4 in this lifetime (I DID eventually - hence my actually beating Bloodborne!).

is really surprised that an apartment on Dromund Kaas was only 5,000 credits.

Yeah the Kass/Coruscant places are pretty cheap. Have you ever been in a Tattoine Stronghold? Geez that thing is huge. Full oudoor area, large hangar, even has a Sandcrawler. The new Yavin Stronghold is supposed to come out this week. Going to be nearly as large. But at 2.5 million just to unlock either I'm sticking with my other houses.
juil. 21 2015 02:50 -
Cutlass Jack
Oh and playable Torguta supposedly coming this week with the Yavin house as well.
juil. 21 2015 02:53 -
AtreiyaN7
WHAT? There's a SANDCRAWLER????? Nope, haven't visited any Tatooine strongholds yet, BUT I can actually afford buy one. I may have to get a home on Tatooine JUST for the sandcrawler. Cool news about the Togruta and Yavin - I do like Yavin 4 and, heh, could actually buy a place there as well...if the view is good! I do have a fair amount of credits squirreled away and not a lot of stuff to buy.

+10 points to you for accurate mimicry of the author without even having seen his manuscript - lol.
juil. 21 2015 07:41 -
SporkFu
lol thank you. What a headache that must be to edit, though. I mean, you have to go through each line and make note of each instance, right? Or can you just attach a note and say, "Listen buddy, your manuscript is full of this kind of crap. Fix it, then re-submit."
juil. 21 2015 07:46

finished the mainy story on my Sith Inquisitor - time for my Bounty Hunter.

But the main thing that impressed me is that the story dialogue completely supported me playing a Twi'lek, even though the option to do one as an agent wasn't even in game when they launched. Whomever did the Agent storyline did a great job with it. So many variations in it.
juil. 21 2015 02:26 -
AtreiyaN7
The way you describe your Twi'lek IA almost makes me think of Yuno in Mirai Nikki. If you've watched that anime, I guess you'll know what I mean (Yuno was clearly broken AND creepy...yet strangely adorable when not trying to kill people, etc.).
juil. 21 2015 05:06 -
Cutlass Jack
Heh hadn't seen that. She sounds scarier. My agent was scary in that she'd always look completely pleasant even when doing horrible things. She never did them out of actual dark motivations. (never got a dark rating) She saw herself as a tool. Tools exist to be used. A gun doesn't have morality, the person who pulls the trigger does. So unlike the previous agents she had no problem with the Mind control stuff that happens in the storyline. For her it was Tuesday. :P

Honestly, if Darmas hadn't turned out to be a jerk...my smuggler would have preferred him to Corso (sorry, Corso!).
juil. 19 2015 05:25 -
Cutlass Jack
My smuggler was romancing him over Corso! Which made for a great story since I hadn't seen it coming. My Male smuggler who I made first hadn't gotten as far in the story. Its nice to be surprised on things. (i.e. Anders only makes a great romance in DA2 if you do it on your first playthrough and don't know where its going)

This reminds me. I loved Skavak as a villain he felt more or less like a different iteration of Handsome Jack.

just got manuscript consisting of ONE 64-page paragraph. *HEADDESK TO THE INFINITE POWER*
juil. 18 2015 12:45
-
AtreiyaN7
Yes, really - the author has a short intro and THEN comes the main story, which consists of a SINGLE paragraph that lasts for 64 pages. Of all the stupid, STUPID things...I no longer have any hope for these people - none, NONE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
juil. 18 2015 12:47 -
AtreiyaN7
This was the APPROVED manuscript by they way; it actually has "approved" in the file name (not making that up).

Wait. Stop the presses, so to speak. You're published? That's awesome, congrats! :D
Did the guy actually call his OWN work beautiful, gripping, unforgettable, and mind-blowingly realistic? His own work? Okay, so when you headdesk do you have a cushion of some sort? A slightly padded desk blotter? Something? Because I'm about to headdesk and I want to be prepared. :P
juil. 18 2015 05:32 -
AtreiyaN7
That was, indeed, another direct quote from this dipstick that I pasted up there. His pen name is De'Lure - feel free to look him up; I assume that his horrible crap is still available on amazon. And yes, as one of the top stories, my work was published in the local major newspaper (which gets quite a few readers here). If I'm not mistaken, my story is also in the anthology they put together for sale as well.
juil. 18 2015 05:42 -
AtreiyaN7
I looked through his latest work when I formatted it earlier, and much as I suspected, his punctuation still sucks horribly (I shouldn't be surprised that he never gets any better at it at this point...).
juil. 18 2015 05:45
AtreiyaN7
says an insane author has 1529 edits - which I will not be doing under any circumstances! My rage level is off the charts right now.

Sometimes when I'm putting together a post for the forum here, I'll forget one of " [ " for the italics or something. After I post and realize my mistake, and go back to fix it, the auto-format has added italics to every single line of my post, and they can't just be batch-edited out. Argh, i know how you feel about the 3000+ tabs. As for the rest, well, I have some matches. Just sayin'
juil. 16 2015 08:27 -
AtreiyaN7
@spork: At least it's usually a little easier and less time consuming to edit stuff in the forums - heh. Anyway, thanks - I'll probably need the matches....

Voss is one of my favorite worlds visually but the voss people are both dull and stupid. Anyway my wife and I have been doing the same thing. Working on finishing up our pairs that haven't finished the story yet. Doing Rep side Balmora tonight. Another world that I find hard to keep awake during.
juil. 16 2015 01:25 -
AtreiyaN7
I don't think the Voss are stupid...it's just Jedi calmness and emotionlessness taking to the nth degree, which is apparently kind of what happened - learned that during one of the world quests on my SI last night. They are certainly dogmatic and resistant to change, which I guess contributes to the feeling that they are stupid.
juil. 16 2015 07:22 -
AtreiyaN7
Talked to one ancient Voss/Gormak in a vision (SI last night, heh), and he was speaking Standard and sounded like a perfectly normal, intelligent person - lol. Goes to show how much the great schism in their society/culture (coupled with the Force influences I suppose) affected them.

That brings back memories of my one-and-only darkside run of KotOR II. Using the force was never so much fun :D
juil. 15 2015 07:42 -
Cutlass Jack
Well as an inquisitor you don't get to force choke. You do get to play 'Mr. Shocky' with the force lightning though. Always fun. But my favorite will always be my female bounty hunter who went around punching huts and anyone with a really bad hat on Alderaan.
juil. 15 2015 11:04 -
AtreiyaN7
@jack: Hahaha! Yeah, I did zap one Imp officer who was being a bit of a male chauvinist pig in one scene. I can't lie - it was fun. :P

1) I get an author who - instead of typing the existing text in the box for existing text- only types "OP ERROR" (and the errors are actually ALL her fault based on one item that I looked at). Sorry, but I'm supposed to find the existing text...by searching for your correction...which doesn't exist in the proof (you know, because it's NEW replacement text for the OLD text that you didn't enter)?
juil. 14 2015 08:17 -
AtreiyaN7
And 2) One of my previous idiot authors just submitted post-pub edits indicating that there are ELEVEN pages of duplicate material to remove now. Sorry, but...why did you approve the third galley without reading your f---ing book and making sure that that didn't happen? It's not my job to read your boring book for you and catch things like that (especially not when you were already driving me bat---- insane).
juil. 14 2015 08:18 -
AtreiyaN7
Actually, I should add in my third reason: 3) I am covering for Michelle and am temporarily stuck with some nutjob author who is EXACTLY like one of my past authors who was a giant pain in the butt (I really, REALLY hated that woman because despite my plethora of examples every round, she kept f---ing up the edits and complaining later). I was just supposed to revise three items, and today I hear that she suddenly has 114 edits - which I might be stuck with.

My Sith Inquisitor ran through the Hoth missions yesterday, and I ran into Commander Tritan (aka Greg Ellis). It was hilarious because during the conversations scenes with him, I kept picturing Cullen giving my other (DA:I) Inquisitor a briefing - lol!
juil. 13 2015 09:22 -

One of the other imp commander questgivers on Hoth has Fenris' voice (Gideon Emery, another G.E.) always sticks out to me.

I do find Talos highly amusing as far as my SI's companions go (I guess I have one more companion left to get).
juil. 13 2015 06:02 -
Cutlass Jack
My wife is still upset that Talos wasn't romancable by either female or male inquisitors. He's like Marcus from the indy movies. I loved the Inquisitor storyline overall. Even had a romancable pirate. what's not to love?
juil. 13 2015 08:43 -
AtreiyaN7
@jack: Hah! Yeah, I had the option to flirt with Talos on Hoth and was vaguely hopeful about more flirting at minimum because he was oddly adorable in a bumbling Marcus kind of way. When I first ran into him! I was like, the only other things I need now that I have a Marcus stand-in are Sallah, a fedora, and a bullwhip to turn my SI into a female Indiana Jones.
juil. 13 2015 09:17

says this author should title her book "Touched by a Not-Angel Named Rasputin." *rolleyes*
juil. 09 2015 09:09
-
AtreiyaN7
That's about as much sense as I can make of it. Let me point out that the author herself said she dreamed about Russia circa the end of the Romanov dynasty AND also dreamed about Mexico...and then she took notes about her dreams and did research...and THEN she decided it was a good idea to mash the two things that really have nothing to do with each other into the totally ridiculous story. The End!
juil. 10 2015 07:45 -
SporkFu
Wow, it's just... crazy how it all comes together like that from dreams. makes me wish i could remember mine better, heh. I mean it's like, "well i dreamed that rasputin's spirit was given the chance to inhabit the mortal body of a border jumper from Mexico as punishment after being judged by the angels" ... How could it not be a totally hilarious day at work? :D
