Haven't done it in a while, but apparently I have a lot of updates apps that need to be copied over. Plus, I was trying to reorganize my books and may have to download everything again...I sure hope I don't because I have an awful lot of books on my iPad.

I think things got messed up somewhere along the way because I've had multiple iPads (currently using an iPad Air) and because of previous laptop's death. Some iCloud weirdness might be involved as well.

It's definitely very Twin Peaks-like and quirky - made it to bridge outside of the town, but the game kind of crashed when I was talking to the sheriff. Oh well, at least I have a save back at the telephone.

Checked some more of it, and I just found two lines of dialogue that had this giant gap of five blank lines in between them. It makes no sense and is totally wrong, so I just had to yank every single blank line in the manuscript. GG, author!

DIALOGUE (totally take it back about his writing NOT being totally horrible): The odor of exposed intestines burst open was bad enough, but the alcohol in this fart added an extra poignant punch to the air.

On a more serious note, this needs to be sorted out soon. I would happily pay my taxes, but thanks to H&R Block's fail, I have no idea if the IRS has tacked on any penalties for overdue payment (if they say it's overdue) on top of the amount I owed at the time of filing. One thing's for certain: I'm not using Phyllis P. as my tax preparer next year.

UPDATE: Well, both the assignment e-mail AND the book cover (I took a look) indicate that this is non-fiction. However, I poked around in the database and saw this weird manuscript categorized as fiction. As a result, I'm going to have to wait until tomorrow to find out if this author IS paranoid schizophrenic or if he's just a fiction author writing and incredibly weird novel about someone with paranoid schizophrenia (just e-mailed my boss and the AR to try to sort this out).

The show has consistently impressed. I'm excited to see where they go with it, though after hearing about how Suicide Squad storylines got axed from Arrow because DC thought it would confuse people with the upcoming film, I worry that emo Flash as it nears release will have a similar effect on the show.

Ah, I hope not! I must say that I also enjoy the sci-fi references on the show - laughed at the Douglas Adams one in the finale, also the allusion to the Luke/Vader scene in the Trickster episode with Mark Hamill. I thought the show was a bit light and fluffy at first, but I liked the characters and performances - got stronger as it went on, imo.
