I've been trying to play, but basically if you click on descriptions and whatnot, the game just kind of freezes up and you can't move or click on anything. While saving and quitting sort of works for some sections, I'm currently stuck in one bit where it doesn't work.

@tony: I was considering an iPhone because I do have an iPad Air, but I want something that can multi-task. @spork: lol! @jack: It's true, I have never had a cell phone before. I never considered it a huge necessity because I hate talking on the phone (and I REALLY hate talking on the phone), BUT for the sake of games and multi-tasking, I decided I ought to try it out.

Let me put it this way: with 2x exp in Brave Frontier for a week, I basically haven't been able to read my new issues of Scientific American or write or do much of anything else on my iPad because I have to keep the game open pretty much 24/7 - lol. I suppose it's ironic that the main thing I'll do on my new phone will be playing BF, Even if it can't multi-task, at least I can just do the auto-combat thing in BF on my phone while I do other stuff on my iPad (I am so glad that...

As far as the crashing issue ges, if you play, just make sure to quicksave/save regularly.

It's fun, but it seems to have an annoying tendency to crash. While I appreciate the old-school vibe, there certainly needs to be a way to speed up combat. When you have a lot of zombies show up, it can take forever when it's their turn in combat.

It's very not fun - the more I look at this and see how much work it will require for all his stupid indenting, footnotes, etc., is making me want to scream. It seems like my weekend and the next couple of days are shot. I'm not even getting paid hourly for working on this mess (and I probably should be, given everything I'm going to have to do).

Damn you for suddenly working, InDesign. I WAS COUNTING ON YOU FAILING A SECOND TIME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHH!!!!! His manuscript initially made the program completely lock up. Boy, I was seriously hoping it would do it again - then I could have washed my hands of this nightmare.

Actually, I'm just going to go say I changed my mind. I don't want to deal with it, and I do have the right to say no to assignments that I don't want to handle. Also, it's semi-impossible to work on normally because the text isn't displaying properly due to all the tables. If you could only see the screenshots I took that make it clear.

Send the author an e-mail, clearly and succinctly outlining the problem. Attach a picture of you (or someone) holding in one hand a piece of paper titled "Contents" and in the other hand, a lit match. Under the picture, the caption reads "Please redo"... not 'fixed that for you', that's cliche ;)

After the inventory rearrangement, I was JUST about to save, and the @#$!ing game crashed at the exact moment I was finally completely satisfied with having maximized my that amount of salvaged loot I could carry based on total encumbrance. GRRRRRRRRRRRRR!

I saved at the beginning of the area, and then I was just about to save right then. It had been a bit of a pain figuring out how to work the inventory system (since the helpful tutorial only kicked in AFTER I went to the place I was supposed to go; unfortunately, I had made a side trip prior to getting there).

I undo my deletion and try to convert the table to text (which SHOULD have worked), only to find that I got a great big nothing when I did so. In the end, I had to copy and paste the whole thing from Word into InDesign and lost all the font styles, which then had to manually be reapplied (extra work, extra time *glares at author*).

See my previous ranting commentary for reference. I told the AR that I noticed his punctuation error but that I wasn't going to fix it because A) I figured he would argue with me (being God's f---ing gift to writing) and B) his punctuation is so f---ed up that it would be pointless to fix it. Yeah, she pretty much agreed with my assessment of the writer and his ego.

I have a geared Arcane Warrior, but geez...the way things have been going, I'm pretty much carrying the other three people - and all four painful victories have basically been thanks to me surviving and soloing the final room.

As a matter of fact, people kept dropping like flies the whole way through on multiple runs (especially when it wasn't a full group), so in one previous game, I pretty much soloed multiple areas. *headdesk* Please gear up your own Arcane Warriors, peeps! My hand hurts now after all the work I just did. :P
